I'm just curious cause my friends and me are having a problem figuring it out cause I thought his name was just Erik and his last name was either unknow or he just didn't have one(either cause he was named Erik by the circus people and/or his parents didn't want him to have their last name or whatever) but one of my friends think his name is Joseph Erik with Erik as his last name, not sure where she got that from though, and another one thinks his name is Erik Destler with Destler as his last name, from the 1989 slasher version of the Phantom, that I'm not to crazy about, and I was wondering if anyone could help us figure it out. Thanks if you can and if you don't know or aren't sure thats ok too. ^_^ 4laugh
Oh and if this is in the wrong place or something just tell me and I'll move it. sweatdrop

Generally, he has no last name. A couple movies give him one, but none are the real ones. In the book, Erik says he acquired his name by accident. Whether he had another name before that is not mentioned. But he is simply Erik by all means.

Yes, Utakan's right. Erik officially has no last name, though many films and what not have attempted to give him one.

Like Utakan said, but two names I know have been given in films is Erik Claudaine (something to that extent) in 1943, which cracks me up because that was the Claude Rains film and in 1989 it was Erik Desller
