What do you think? I personaly belive he's coming to the good side. I don't think he can kill and be as evil as his parents. I mean, he couldn't kill Dumbledor could he. Thats just what I think, what about you?

I really don't know what to make of Draco...at the end of book 6 it seemed like he was turning, but, earlier in the series he seemed really into the "Dark Side", for lack of a better phrase. hmmm, i really can't decide right now

I think that Draco may come to the good side in time. Maybe in the seventh, he will run away form Voldemort to the good side, but I doubht he will turn just yet. As the only person who could protect anyone from Voldemort has died, I think he'll stick with the stronger side, Voldemort's. I hope he turns good though ^^

Oh of course Draco's into the "Dark side" As long as he doesn't have to do anything particularly ...say..impossible..
Rather, Draco enjoys boasting about the dark side and all the sutff that "The Dark Lord" has set out for him to do....He doesn't enjoy the fact that he may atually have to do things that are above him, and furthermore would never admit to not being able to complete Lord Voldemort's task.
As the story(ies) progressed I was hoping Draco would grow into the role as "Evil" or "Death Eater" Especially now since his Father is in Azkaban (I hope he gets out)...But if he turns good I spose that'll be just as good, there always has to be one "Evil Turned Good" Guy, and Right now Snape is failing pretty damn badly at it (or so it seems)
PS: I just think Draco needs a good push in the right (or wrong) Direction..

I don't think he is evil. He just has issues with the world. I think that he is a jerk though. One of my favorite parts in the book is when Hermoine slaps him. Hehe, funny.

Well I know i posted otherwise in the other thread. But i don't see Draco coming to the good side. As for Snape i don't know. My brother suggested that He was completely neutral the whole time until he saw that the Dark side started winning so he chose the winning team you know? Anyway back to Draco. He will be doomed to be evil i think. Of course Harry has got nothing to do with him so he is safe from the wrath of Harry Potter. But i don't know about the other two.

I also think that Draco is a jerk, and I always thought he's a bit of a wimp too. I think he is going to come over to the good side in time.

With terms like 'good' and 'evil', who needs a debate at all? The terms are so cut and dry, labeling with those words leaves no gray area.
The gray area is exsactly where Draco Malfoy lies. Now, I am not saying that he has done anything that would make me believe he has the potential to become a preist, but there have been times that made me wonder he is just laying 'I'm such a bad boy' on a little too thickly. Probably for his parent's sake... seeing who they are.
With a disfunctional family a person might do things that he or she know are wrong, but in order to gain favor and praise from their parents, do it anyway. Since he is the only child he must play Hero to his father. The one who is Lucius ideal of perfection. It's a shitty role, but in a 'sick' family, one that must be filled in order to keep and nice wall of denile up and running.
His mother too isn't that bad at all. Infact, I liked her in the 7th. Doing anything to protect her son, even going against Lord Voldermort's orders (a terrible thing indeed). It showed she had heart and it also showed she really didn't agree with the system too much either.

My thing is that Harry is a HORRIBLE judge of character. Thus, it stands to reason that if he thinks Draco is amazingly horrible and unredeemable, then he must be redeemable and not that bad.

I don't think Hermione ever slaps him (correct me if I'm wrong). I think it's just in Movie III. Hermione does slap him. It's right after Draco's insulted Hagrid.
Quote: "Look at him blubber! Have you ever seen anything quite as pathetic?" said Malfoy. "And he's supposed to be our teacher!" Harry and Ron both made furious moves toward Malfoy, but Hermione got there first -- SMACK! She had slapped Malfoy across the face with all the strength she could muster. Malfoy staggered. Harry, Ron, Crabbe, and Goyle stood flabbergasted as Hermione raised her hand again. "Hermione!" said Ron weakly, and he tried to grab her hand as she swung it back. "Get off, Ron!" Hermione pulled out her wand. Malfoy stepped backward. Crabbe and Goyle looked at him for instructions, thoroughly bewildered. "C' mon," Malfoy muttered, and in a moment, all three of them had disappeared into the passageway to the dungeons. That's from chapter sixtenn, If I remember correctly... But anyways, As to Draco being evil, I would have to say no. His character is as mysterious as Snape's and Draco is clearly in turmiol throughout all of book six. I think Draco will try to help the good side, but will be confused as to where his loyalties actually should go.

Nah, he's smallfry evil(like he has always been) after the plottwists in book 6.
Draco will probably join the the good side when he didn't have the guts to finish what he started. (In comparison with Severus)
