The purpose of this thread is to create a database where our members can see other members to recruit for a developing RP--- whether it be an invite only RP, or even an RP needing one or two more members to start. You can put as much or as little information as you’d like in each section of the skeleton, and you can add as much or as little decoration as you wish. And when the time comes and you need to find someone to RP with, you can come here and browse the pages for someone who suits your fancy.

Age: Not as young as I used to be. (Approximately 19)
Amount of experience: Writing since I was in third grade, roleplaying since about fifth grade.
Preferred type of RP: Not into fanfictions or anime roleplays. I’m totally down for ‘inspired-by’ roleplays, but not direct fanfiction. Anything else, I’m down for.
Preferred character specifications: Any and all. I like to expand my skill set by trying new roles. Okay.. Maybe not decrepit, ancient humans.
Sample of writing: “Pages whisper in her ear as she flees across ink-stained paper. She can taste rich gingerbread on her tongue, masking the taste of sour poison. She is looking for love, but is he the prince in the crystal castle, the wolf, the beast, the twisted mage that sent her looking? Depends on her clothing, and that keeps changing. Red cloak, yellow gown, ashy rags, burlap sack, yellow gown, red cloak, burlap sack, ashy rags. Red leather dancing shoes that have been worn to pieces, and still she dances until her feet bleed. Swans and ravens fly up from her footsteps. Stumbling through rose bushes: red, white, white, red. Horrified as a raven flies above her, singing of tragic cannibalism and betrayal, until it drops an anvil on her head.”
Any additional info: I really enjoy the process of creating a roleplay and watching it grow and develop. Two of my very best characters were in a roleplay that lasted about three years— they were perfectly developed. I find that the unpredictable interaction with others provides a form of character development that is unmatched by writing alone. The creative outlet of creating a roleplay, too, is invigorating. Although a complete understanding of plot and characters need not be formed, there is a visual aspect to it that I adore. I like to write roleplays inspired by things around me, be it movies, television shows, books, or even my own hopes and dreams. But what I love is that I don’t have the control. Generally, if I write a roleplay that has a direct plot, I leave the main protagonist to someone else, relinquishing all possible control. I like to be able to manipulate the plot through more indirect means. For all my love of roleplaying though, I find that I rarely actually participate in a roleplay— I’m hoping that this guild can fix that problem.

Hmm...if I answer this you might guess my age...oh well. I have been writing for a long time, still have a book to finish. I began playing D&D when it came out the first time and parents thought it was all about Satan worship...really they did. Online RP's? Since I joined Gaia, IF I can find people to RP with.
Preferred type of RP:
I'm not picky but I do get tired of angsty teenagers, sometimes it seems like everyone's characters have more issues than everyone I know IRL put together.
Preferred character specifications:
Again, not really picky. Anything that makes me think and dig to create something new. Makes me a better writer.
Sample of writing:
I have been so busy with school that for the last while all I have written is research papers and no one wants to read them! Until I come up with something I suggest you head over to the coffee shop and read my posts there.
Any additional info:
I like to RP with people who are interesting and who don't need to post 25 times a day in an RP. I also like to chat OOC with the people I RP with, it's fun to get to know them. I have made some good friends in Gaia in the past, it made Gaia more fun.
