"A "rare pair" is any couple that is unusual, unconventional, and has a significant lack of fanfic or art dedicated to it. Rare pairs can be made up of two main characters, such a Draco/Neville, or include one or more of the obscure canon characters, as in Orla Quirke/Ernie Macmillan. My favorite rare parings are:
Percy/Hermione
Neville/Luna
Lavender/Neville
Luna/Dean
Lavender/Dean
Ginny/Blaise
Lavender/Krum
Lucius/Hermione
Ron/Lavender
Snape/Tonks
I'm sure there are others I can't think of at the moment. I'm not big on slash, not that there is anything wrong with it. I have read some good slash stories from time to time.

My new favorite rare pair is Hermione/Percy. Neville/Ginny and Neville/Luna have been favorites of mine for a while, too.

Percy/Hermione is adorable, and SNAPE/TONKS!!??
...Wow, now that I think of it, that'd be very interesting and kind of fun to write. :/
And if we get into slash.. (I don't know who's offended by slash and who isn't....sorry.)
I kind of like Cedric/Harry, but I can find hardly anything for that.

Hawkeye_Lupin Percy/Hermione is adorable, and SNAPE/TONKS!!?? ...Wow, now that I think of it, that'd be very interesting and kind of fun to write. :/ And if we get into slash.. (I don't know who's offended by slash and who isn't....sorry.) I kind of like Cedric/Harry, but I can find hardly anything for that. Thats how I reacted when I first saw someone mention Snape/Tonks, but then I got to thinking that would be a really fun pairing. I have to say I love the icons in the sig. XD When it comes to Slash pairings, I'm not offended, but I am not huge on them. But I think Cedric/Oliver is quite fun. And Percy/Hermione has become one of my all time favorite ships. I need to write a Percy/Hermione story. And Lucius/Hermione. I love that one after reading a story series written by a friend. Which wasn't actually a shipping story, but it made me love that pairing anyway. XD

I had never really thought about either of those couples, but now that I think about it. . . I would love both of those pairings. Especially Hermione/Oliver. <3

Lucius/Hermione? I...don't really see it, but if I read a good fic about that ship, it probably will change my mind.
I think Neville/Hermione would be cute...but I like Neville/Ginny too much.
