This journal looks... strange to say the least. Its cover has odd designs on it, horrifying images painted in blood and broken typewriter text. Snippets of words, names that could be 'Emily' or 'Alexander', and other words like 'fear'. But on the spine it has quite a different name, painted in those same long, dull red letters, 'Niven'.

Already, your Herald has gone through many experiences. His time with you has begun to shape and mold the child. Yet, there are many experiences to be had.
Your Herald has been asked to do something not yet asked of it before. He isn't sure how to go about the task.

past. Aodh was born to a normal Scottish family and suffered through infancy and childhood extremely ill and surviving only by miracles of modern medicine. His childhood was very normal, for a kid who didn't like to play with the other kids, up until he started to realize that some of the people he saw could not be seen by other people. Aodh was tormented by ghosts and supernatural beasties on and off his entire life, and saw much more horror than can be healthy for any one person. Come middle and high schools, his frequent colds and viral infections were punctuated by violent nosebleeds that signaled the appearance of something he would not want to see. Not every nosebleed was a warning, of course, but every supernatural session was preceded by an eruption. He began writing at the tender age of 14, worrying teachers with his first-person papers full of blood, death, and dank darkness. There was a brief stint with anti-depressants that only seemed to make things worse when, in truth, Aodh believed that they were dampening his view of the spirit realm and by that point was beginning to enjoy it. The young man was not so surprised when a mysterious train accident on graduation night landed him on a strip of abandoned Gaian tracks. Without knowing how to return to Earth (and, frankly, not caring to), he began to publish paper after paper, story after story, novel after novel. Only now is he beginning to wonder if he was ever meant for Earth at all.
