-The very young female with long wild random colored blond hair snaps the book shut standing in the ruins of what was a library as her silver blue eyes scan the cover once more.-
"Makes ya wonder huh Crevan, what your ancestors were like when they flew."-The Fox red dragon walked into view carefull where he step for he has grown a bit since he last been seen my any one other than his Ashlynn, his Azule eyes looked at the book.-
"We will fly one day, Ashlynn."
-Crevan smiled at the young human girl he has protected since the man in the blue scaled armor told him too.-
"I know, and there is no rushing it ok, don't want you going blank on me like last time." -she let out a little energetic laugh.-

Anwen was walking close by - taking in the sights and sounds of her new world. 'So much to see and do. I wonder what it'll be like when I'm bigger?'
Without thought, she was making her way towards another dragon. Anwen had seen older dragons, so she didn't know that there were smaller ones just like her...

-Ashlynn quickly dropped the book when she herd a snap of a branch and has her bow aimed straight in Anwen's direction with a blank expression across her face like the bow was controlling her and holding one of the few arrows she owned that her father helpped her make.-
-Crevan got a sniff or the air and then looked over the ruins standing near the young human and gazing at a beautiful hatchling.. Ascended it had to been from the wings but this is truthfully the first time crossing one and he didn't intend on putting Ashlynn in harms way. He calmly said as his not fully set teeth reflect some of the light from the sun.- "Trouble my friend, don't harm her."
-Ashlynn still stood still like a statue only the breeze was playing with her hair.-

Hearing the word "trouble," Anwen looked towards the direction the words were spoken, and smiled. It was another dragon! It looked a little different than her, but it was another dragon she could talk to with another creature who was bigger than both of them!
Scurrying in a fast pace, Anwen came closer to the others. "Why are you so big?"

-Ashlynn saw the dragon come closer at a quicker pace now he didn't understand much about the dragons considering she only heard stories and he watcher was one. Ashlynn still had her bow drawn ready to fire at what might be following her or if she was truly a threat than her beauty carried for her.-
-Crevan gave a weak smile at his human friend and then lowered his snout to the little one.-
"well we all get big at one point or another."

"But how?" Anwen asked. "I'm really small, and I see all these bigger dragons saying that I shouldn't be doing some stuff."
Anwen kept her eyes focused on the taller dragon. "When I get bigger, will I be able to tell dragons my size what they can and can't do?"

-Crevan smiled as he recalls being her age.-
"You eat well, always play, and the most important thing is to be kind to all."
-He patted his tail-
"And no when you get bigger you wont be able to tell dragons your size what they can and can't do, you watch over them to make sure they are not harmed."
-Ashlynn then checked the area one last time and then put her bow over her shoulder and the arrow in the quiver.-
-there was a relaxed sigh as she bent down and picked up the book and walked closer to get a better look at the hatchling.-
"Hey there, I am Ashlynn. And this is my brother Crevan."
-she patted Crevan on his side as she smiled looking more lively now rather than a sniper.-

"Oh!" Anwen exclaimed, "is there any reason why we need to protect each other? Do bigger dragons not like some things?"

Anwen perked up when she was aked her name. "Mommy and daddy named me Anwen. I don't know why, they just did."
"Is it a good name?"

"I don't know. I call them mommy and daddy. They look a lot like me, except daddy's a bit darker than I am. Mommy's light, just like me."
Pausing for a moment, Anwen tried to straighten up and spread her small wings. "I keep trying to fly, but I can't. Why can't I fly?"

"Anwen, not all dragons are gifted to fly when they are born, that is what makes you a special dragon.. and you should be with your family."

"besides Anwen when you grow up they will carry you high in the skies."

-Ashlynn then looked at the light of day and figured if nothing else was going to be said it's best be on their way.-
"Come on Crevan, spent enough time here."
-Crevan waved farewell to the little one and walked over to Ashlynn where she got upon his back and held on where they then ran off into the trees.-
