User ImageEyes flickered open in the dark lightning of the room.

Sigh.

It had already been a month since she was trapped in this alien home. She was so awkward. Maybe she had life good as a princess-now-queen back home. She had dedicated servants that did her bidding… Of course, she was reasonable with them. Afterall, she loved all the residents of Auschwitz. She treated everyone that worked for her with love. But…here, there was no love. Everyone had their own business. This place was not at all somewhere someone could make friends with in a minute, and smile and giggle.. Everyone had their close knits and seemed to block others from joining them.

It was not like a family at all. Or at least… Not like her family.

She flicked her room’s light on, brushed her hair and placed it in her normal ponytail. Afterwards, Anneke left the room, wandering outside her home and towards the noodle shop.

She was normally an outgoing person, but she learned to keep to herself when at the shop. Wary of noodles around her, she moved to an unoccupied couch and curled up on it, watching the noodles interacting with dull eyes. She had never pictured herself this lonely, this desperate in her life. She always pictured herself with her mother and father. Happy. Not alone. In her sanctuary.

And she hated it. She hated how she continued to dread this place. She had to get use to it!

But she had no choice. No one seemed to approach her. But it wasn’t like she minded anymore though. Anneke just thought of herself as a ghost, looming over the figures and watching them chatter, desperate to be one of the noodles. She always had told herself: If you want to talk with someone, you got to go to them yourself. Though no matter how much she seemed to say that, she never bothered to attempt it. Maybe I’m a ghost. Maybe it’s good they can’t see me. If they knew I was a queen, they might be jealous or think less of me.. She closed her eyes and let out a sigh.

Nite sighed softly as he looked around the unfamiliar place. There was a bustling noodle shop, an ice cream store, a bakery, a restaurant... basically lots of food stores. Surprisingly, though, out of all the people, noodles, and other creatures that walked by, -- taking no notice of him, except for the occasional glance -- not one seemed even remotely obese. He pondered curiously about it, adjusting the goggles resting on his hat. Was it always this way? he wondered. He wondered, too, if he'd ever been here, although the fact that he was ignored suggested otherwise. Then again, everyone seemed to be in their own little group.

He was genuinely curious as to the history of this place, seeing as it was the first city he'd found since his... incident. The incident being him waking up alone in a forest, of course, with an amnesia of sorts. He couldn't really say he had amnesia, because he could remember his name just fine, and (thankfully) that his hat was a hat, and not a strange chair (because, really, would he want to wear it again after it had been sat on?). Unfortunately, he couldn't remember anything about himself besides his name. All he knew was that he felt as if he had to go somewhere important, but where that was, he had no idea, and he had gone off in hopes of finding it.

The city didn't seem to be it. It only made him feel more lonely, looking at the crowd. With another sigh, he headed towards the noodle shop, with a faint hope that someone would recognize him, and perhaps tell him of his past, or at least what he was after.

Then he entered.

Was it a miracle? Hearing the door click open, her eyes snapped open; her eyes were drawn to the figure automatically, his mellow, cool colors making him blend in with ‘the crowd’ somewhat – though his thoughts were elsewhere. He shared no company, no ideas to express with others. He was like her, he had no purpose here, that he truly knew of. What kind of trick did fate play, drawing them into this setting together? Either way, it was truly amazing.

But…. Maybe he was just waiting for someone. She too was waiting for someone-or rather anyone-that’d come and sweep her off her feet and carry her back to her palace. Anneke's eyes glued themselves over to the male. His presence was luring her over. She felt that she recognized him from somewhere but... Where? Maybe her kingdom? Her violet-red eyes inspected the strange noodle. He might of wore clothes similar to something for night wore, but no. It couldn’t be someone from her kingdom. She fluttered her eyes closed and let out another sigh, her thoughts running like wildfire in her head.

Well, you’ve told yourself to go to one and talk to them. Now’s your chance. Share your company with one as lonely as you, at least before he is snagged by one and forever out of your sights.

Fine, I’ll do it.

Her body straightened on the couch, making a jump-out sort of motion and landing with small grace onto the cold floor. Her long legs strode across lightly, her feet not heard. Anneke reached over to the male and smiled. “Hello there. You look kinda… Lonely.” She paused, her eyes looking into his gray eyes. “Sorta like me. I’m Anneke.”

Nite looked around the bustling shop. It was almost a copy of the world he found outside, except for the fact that many seemed to be carrying bowls around. He blushed, remembering that ramen bowls were baby noodles, and wondered if this wasn't a noodle house at all, but some sort of maternity club or something.

He flattened his ears, embarassed, and was about to head outside when he saw movement by the couch, and a female walking towards him gracefully. Afraid she was some stray female desperate to be a mother from seeing all the bowls around her, he put his paw back on the door, preparing to run for his life or at least pretend he forgot something so he wouldn't seem rude, when he finally, clearly saw her through his panic.

She seemed refined, with hair fading from a sea green to blue, and her attire seemed regal enough. He felt a faint flicker of recognition, but from what, or where, he had no clue. Still, that was enough to keep him where he was, long enough for her to make her way over to him and greet herself.

"H-Hello." he said, waving a paw feebly. He was still shocked at the turn of events, and his panic from his previous assumtion had not fully left him yet. "I suppose...." he said, fading off, until he remembered something. He stretched a paw towards her, until he realized that shaking paws with someone was usually a form of good-bye. Blushing again and lowering his paw, he decided to follow her example. "Nice to meet you, Anneke. I'm Nite."
