Gailito was near the Shadowhill Clan border, he knew because of the strong smell of the border line, but he continued moving toward the Clan territory. He was tired of the rogue Saigh he had met and was ready to test his limits once more. he moved carefully through the hilly area, so he wouldn't go tumbling down a steep slope. Soon he passed the border, the sightless Saigh could almost feel the powerful scent of the clan closing in around him, but he ignored it moving farther into the territory, a determined grin on his face.

Senka knew that it wasn't really required for her to take scouting duties, but she grew bored with sitting in the cave with the cubs and planning out hunting duties and food stores. Stormcloud was much more fond of spending hours with his children anyway, and it was good for the clan leader to patrol the borders once in a while; it gave a good impression to the rest of the clan. While she was getting a bit old, especially compared to her younger mate, she was certainly still capable of taking care of the Shadowhill territory. As she was trotting along, engrossed in these thoughts, the sharp scent of a rogue caught at her nostrils. Stopping for a moment to assess the situation, she realized there was something slightly familiar about the scent. It was male, to be certain, but a vague memory from the recent festival pulled at her mind. Sure, there had been hundreds of new scents at the place, but this one was more significant than a passing experience. Continuing on, confident that the rogue wasn't dangerous, the sight of the cream colored male came into view.
Perfect. An at least partially blind rogue.... Realizing that he had probably already caught her scent, Senka closed the distance between them and halted on the clan's side of the male. "Hello there, Gailito was it?" She could at least wait for his explanation before sending him back to the roguelands where he belonged....

When the blind Saigh caught the familliar scent of Senka, the leader of the Shadowhill Clan, he turned to face her, not really to look at her, "Yes my name's Gailito. Senka, the Shadowhill leader, correct? What are you doing here?" He asked, knowing perfectly well what she was doing there but saying it to imply that he didn't realize he wasn't on neutral territory. His smiled was made a mixture of happiness and politeness.

Pleased with herself that she properly remembered the rogue's name, the smile that flashed briefly across the female's features was replaced quickly with a firm expression. Acquaintance or not, the male was on Shadowhill territory without permission, and as clan leader, it would be simplest if she simple expelled him now. "Yes, I am Senka, and I am scouting today, you have entered into Shadowhill territory I'm afraid...." Was he really not aware of it? While his eyes may not be functional, he should still be able to smell the markings that they of course left to mark their territory. The strange expression on his face made Senka frown a bit in confusion before speaking again, "I'm afraid I'll have to ask you to turn around and return to rogue territory. Only clan members are allowed here...."

Gailito cocked is head in fake confusion, "I'm on clan territory? I thought I was just near the border, I'm sorry Mad'am Senka." The blind rogue said without moving an inch. "Oh...I've forgotten which way I came from." He lied, to see if he could get away with it. "Would you mind helping me to the border, or will you just leave me to find my own way out of your clan's territory?"

Senka sighed, shaking her head at the strange male. Apparently his nose didn't work much better than his eyes, or maybe rogues didn't use the same scent markings as clans did.... Come to think of it, there had been an increase in the number of trespassers lately, perhaps she needed to talk to Night Star about the scent markings the scouts were leaving, they apparently weren't do a very good job at it anymore.... Strange, Night Star was usually so good at that kind of thing, he never needed her to remind him of scouting duties or anything.... Shaking her head, she made a mental note to speak with the head of the scouts, and then looked back to the blind Gailito. "Yes, you have stumbled into our territory it seems." She nodded in acceptance of his apology, but became perplexed when he didn't move.
He had forgotten which way he had come? Oh mist, this fellow was trouble.... Looking to the rock pile that visually symbolized the border, the elderly female shrugged and figured it was easier to lead him to the border and point him in the right direction home than argue about it. "Yes, yes, I'll help you, right this way," and with that, the female had already started towards the stone watcher.

"Which way?" The sightless Saigh asked, looking around, he knew which way she had headed, but kept on acting like the way most creatures thought a blind creature was like. "Just call out, so I can hear where you are," He told her still moving his head, as if trying to locate her.

Looking back towards the pale male, Senka rolled her eyes, her temper starting to shorten. Sighing once again, Senka called out, "Here...." Extending the vowels so that he could more easily find her location. She really wasn't appreciating how much effort it was taking to get him off of their land. "Listen, Gailito, I don't mean to be cruel, but, as the leader of this clan, I can not allow you to remain in our territory. The members of my clan would never respect a decision that allowed for a rogue to stay for any more time that it takes to get them back to the border...."

Gailito turnned and jogged over to her, "I understand that, and you aren't making a decision that does otherwise," He said with a small grin,"not your fault, that I take a bit longer getting to the border then most Saigh. Not really my fault, either. Truely if you want someone or something to blame, blame luck. That's what i always do." The male stopped beside Senka, and asked, "Okay now which direction?"

Relieved that the male at least seemed to still be making an effort to follow her rules, Senka smiled and shook her head, her temper cooling once more. Lifting an eyebrow when the male's fault was mentioned, she laughed. Well, it wasn't his fault he was blind, but did he really have that horrible of a sense of smell? It just didn't seem possible, how had he survived without being able to find his way again. Shaking her head, the clan leader knew that it was none of her concern how he lived. Perhaps he simply had luck to thank, or perhaps the mist guided those who it hadn't blessed with sight.... The mist worked though the Saighneian very subtly, as Senka had been taught in her cubhood, so she worried little for the blind male. Looking in the direction that he now had to proceed, she said, "Straight in front of you will be fine. "

The blind Saigh inched forward slowly as if unsure of the area in front of him, he walked slowly, to make sure that he didn't stick his foot in a rabbit hole and break his leg. "Straight ahead, okay. Nice to see you again," he told her partly over his shoulder, he paused a moment before adding a hidden lie, "I'm sorry I crossed your border, and caused you to waste your time with this." Then The blind Saigh stopped and turned around, he was just out of the clan territory, "Hope we'll meet again sometime in better conditions of course. Maybe at the next festival?"

Rolling her eyes at the cautious pace that the male was taking, she waited until she saw him pass the stone border marker. Well, that was one problem taken care of. The self deprecating statement he made made Senka feel a bit bad that she had hurried him so much though. "Oh, it's really all right, just try not to do it again. Not all of our border guards are as nice as I am for trespassers...." Of course, she knew that none of them would ever actually injure a non hostile intruder, but they could be a bit rougher and sharper of tongue in an effort to speed the process. Honestly, Senka had to admit that she herself may have been more outwardly annoyed if she hadn't already known that Gailito could not see as well as she could.
Just as she was about to turn back to her home, this actually being the end of her border patrol, she heard the male speak again, "Yes, I find it likely we will attend the next festival, it was quite entertaining." Pausing a moment and thinking, she added, "And it's nice to meet rogues once in a while...." With that, Senka turned and loped home, being exceedingly hungry and hoping the hunting party had brought back a fresh kill. She wasn't worried about the male crossing the border again, and he was harmless anyway....

Gailito waited as her scent faded, even though it was still fresh, he could tell she was gone, the blind male turned and continued to head home, through his world that he knew not by sight by but his other four senses. He listened to birds sing, and the quick breathes of hidden animals. He smelt other Saigh, and all kinds of animals, the sweet smell of flowers. He felt the grass under paw, and the cool wind that ruffled his fur. He smiled, content with his world, and thought Some creatures don't know what they're missing
