Who: Axl and Lizzy
Where: Just outside of the Gulls cabin, but at a respectable distance that it doesn't OVER POWER THEIR NOSES AND CAUSE THEM TO GAG
When: Day 7, after the "challenge"

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.Axl stomped his way back to the cabin, really not pleased as one could tell by his mumbling. It consisted of very many things not fit for most ears. Maybe he really was cut out for being a rock star; he certainly had the foul mouth that went along with it.

Reaching the cabin, he reeled away again. Jesus. It still stunk. He was sleeping on the dock again. His back was going to need the best ******** chiropractor in his province when he got back.

... At least it hadn't rained, right?

Today was not her day. Her hopes had been lifted up for today's challenge, then thrown back down to the ground. This had been Lizzy's time to shine, and as much as she didn't want to admit it, she had wanted the attention for winning the team's victory. Maybe it was selfish of her, but everyone deserved to be selfish at one time or another.

In an attempt to calm herself down, she had left the insanity where Chris was practically getting raped by campers, and made her way back to the cabin. Lizzy wasn't a fool though, and decided sitting in the cologne stench would probably cause her to pass out from oxygen deprivation. So instead, she had found a tree to sit underneath.

In her paws, she had her sketch pad, and her pencil was moving rather swiftly across the paper. So absorbed with her own drawn-out venting, she didn't even hear any of the obscenities escaping her team-mate's mouth as he approached.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.Still coughing and sputtering a bit, it took Axl a moment or so to notice Lizzy. When he did--and was no longer hacking all over the place, he hesitated, then went over to her, keeping a respectable distance. He got the vibe she didn't like people much, but hey. He could use some company right about now.

"Hey," he said, waving a bit to get her attention. "Good job at the challenge. Congrats on getting your outfit picked. It was pretty neat."

Lizzy glanced up, and though her expression didn't seem to have a tinge of anger to it, something still seemed a bit off with her. It would become rather noticeable when she actually opened her mouth and spoke in a bitter tone "Too bad the 'hell suit' isn't being used to do proper justice for all our suffering..." Both of the outfits from the other team were literally an easy escape in comparison to hers, since there wouldn't be the added torture of temperature since both were easy-breezy costumes.

Her pencil didn't even stop sketching while she had been looking at Axl, and now her eyes drifted back to her work.

If Axl were to take a look, he'd notice that it was a picture being sketched of Chris.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.True that. Axl hadn't been expecting a reply, just like the last time he spoke to her, so he was more than a little surprised.

"Yeah, I agree," he said. He looked down at her drawing, a bit curious, but didn't want to ask to see, he didn't think she'd show him. "Their outfits were tame compared to ours." And ********, it wasn't like the Beavers deserved the revenge like the Gulls did. Had anything happened to them? He didn't think so.

Only once she had a likeness that was without a doubt Chris, did she start to draw something else on top of the doodle. In fact, it looked awfully similar to the costume she had designed for him initially, but even fluffier than the contest doll could muster. She didn't say it, but it almost seemed as if she was trying to explain without words that she'd see Chris in that outfit she'd designed whether or not he liked it.

Lizzy would get the fluff around Chris' big head before she even noticed what Axl was doing. Much like Axl had expected, she immediately pushed her sketchpad up to her body so that the picture couldn't be seen anymore.

She didn't say anything after that, but strangely she was looking at him in the eyes (which was unusual for her), waiting for him to mind his own business.

Figuring she wanted to be alone, he shuffled his feet a bit, getting ready to leave. "Well, uh. I just wanted to congratulate you. Really sucks that we didn't win. I really think we could have used the boost. It kind of sucks being a Gull these days."

Despite the edgy feeling that was going through her whole being, she was a good Audio. Her own bad mood was no reason to scare someone away.

"Nothing to really congratulate me about though..." she pointed out. "...and, you don't have t'leave..."

She waved a paw towards her side, as if giving him permission to sit next to her. Rather than wait to see what her team mate would do, she lifted her picture back against her legs and continued to draw.

So he took a seat next to her, though he kept his eyes off the paper. Instead he gazed out over the campgrounds, a very unhappy look on his face. "Sure, there's something to congratulate you about. You got 3 marshmellows. ... You know, I still don't quite get what those are for. Seems a bit silly... Currency? What are we going to buy with marshmellows?"

He shook his head, orange and black locks falling over his eyes. "Either way, our designs got picked. We could have all sucked and not had a chance at all. And at least you bothered to show up, unlike some people."

She didn't speak for a moment, keeping herself entertained by her drawing, however, she was listening to every word spoken. She couldn't help but let her mind wander slightly upon certain things mentioned.

Marshmallows reminded her of how much she liked sweets. Marshmallows weren't exactly the best sort of currency. They could melt or attract insects (or worse). What could they possibly have at this shop that she'd want?

And the mention of the lack of team mates participating caused her fur to puff up slightly along her tail. The previous competition, their team had been forced to sit a player out. On top of that, several of the team members decided to not participate at all. Why didn't they at least use someone who wouldn't participate in the long run?

Speaking of those who didn't participate...

"...so... how come you were chosen to not participate in the last challenge anyways?" she asked in a quieter voice while she finished adding some frills to the head piece of Chris' costume.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. He was still thinking about marshmellows. They were for eating, not for buying s**t out of... It was so weird. Either way, he was going to hold on to them until he at least saw the "shop". Even if there was nothing he wanted, maybe he could use the marshmellows as leverage.

It took a second for him to register that she was speaking--she was speaking quietly after all, and he'd been lost in thought--but when he did, he turned to her. "Hm? Why didn't I participate?" His face flushed at her question. Well, you see, he was too busy being kidnapped and getting his tail shaven.

Glancing at his tail to make sure that the wraps were still tied, he sighed a bit. "I was, uh. Indisposed. I don't know what happened. I woke up tied to a tree, long after the challenge."

For a moment, she paused from the drawing she had been working on. She looked to her current companion, and her eyes seemed to follow his as they went to his tail.

"Indisposed..." she repeated quietly, not liking the phrase at all. So he hadn't even volunteered to not participate?

She had already been pretty upset before, but now she was super upset about the outcome now. This was truly the most unfair competition she'd ever been a part of. More than likely, Chef was told where to throw the host at the end of the most recent competition. And even though she had a friend on the Beaver team, she still couldn't help but feel extremely angry at the team.

Her sketchpad flopped forward and onto the ground, but it didn't seem like Lizzy even cared. Instead, she merely grumbled out in a sour tone "I wish there was something that we could do to get even..."

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. "Mhmm..." As he noticed she was looking at his tail, he moved it around him, better out of sight. He didn't want to change the wraps coming undone when he wasn't looking.

As the sketchpad flopped down, Axl's eyes were drawn to it. Hey, how could he help it? The book had moved, and made a rather loud noise. It drew his attention. He reached out to pick it up, fully intending to just give it back, really. His gaze swooped over the page though, and when he realized what the drawing was of, he started laughing.

"Oh, god. That's ******** brilliant." He handed the drawing back. "Too bad we can't really get him in that suit."

For a moment, Lizzy reverted back to her usual self. Despite the bitterness of the unfair challenge, nothing could snap a girl back to her shy-self like a compliment. Her face flushed and she instinctively tucked herself back as far as she could into the hood of her jacket.

"...i-i-it... isn't that good..." she muttered from all the way in her (crappy) hiding spot. It was true, they'd never get to really see Chris in such an outfit. However, it was the closest second place they'd get for such.

Too bad there isn't like, a Xerox machine here or something. We could photocopy it and stick it up all over camp." He grinned at her. "I mean, obviously, it wouldn't be as good as the real thing, but it'd still be pretty funny." He shook his head, still grinning as he thought about it.
