 The StoryMany centuries have passed since the bible times and a new breed of angels have emerged in the clouds above: the Aegyl. The Aegyl were basically dark angels, an inverted species of the traditional kind. That did not mean they were bad, of course. Darkness does not always bring evil, as light does not always bring good.
Angels had peacefully co-existed with Aegyls for quite some time, but religious beliefs eventually began to split them apart. The angels believed in one God, but the Aegyl believed in two Goddesses known as Nyx and Beira. Each species viewed the others' beliefs as twisted and corrupt, so a war began to break out. Eventually, a pact was settled upon. The angels would ascend to the heavens to reside; while the Aegyl would descend to Earth, hidden from mortal eyes unless they willed themselves to be seen.
Ever since the compromise had been reached, the two species went their separate ways, but not without a grudge. More and more often, the Aegyl would fly up to the heavens and avenge their banishment, while the angels would mercilessly bombard the Aegyl below. Because of this bitter rivalry, another war broke out for the right to live in the clouds, to once more stand the middle ground. 1. Follow ALL guild rules. I don't feel like posting them here, so go read 'em if you haven't already.
2. Don't make your characters invincible!!! That basically means no dodging every attack, giving your character tons of weapons and powers, etc. It'll just make other people hate you, and I'll probably kick you out of the RP.
3. Follow the plot line. For instance, if there's a major fight scene breaking out, don't have your character fall asleep in a field of daisies. It confuses people and interrupts the main events of the RP.
4. Stay in character. For example, if you have a no-nonsense hardcore angel warrior, don't have it walk over to a wounded Aegyl and heal him/her. It just doesn't fit, ya know?
5. Use past tense and third person. For instance... CORRECT: Aegis walked uncertainly through the wood. "I sense an enemy angel," he said. Suddenly, Angie appeared. INCORRECT: *I walk uncertainly through the wood* I sense an enemy angel. *I see Angie.*
6. Be at least semi-literate. No1 likes a buncha txt tlk or 1337 spk.

Age: 1000 in Aegyl years, looks 21

Special Abilities: brief visions of the future, limited mind reading and compulsion, elemental magick (air, fire, water, earth, spirit)
Other Info: Selena is one of the oldest and wisest Aegyl, and thus knows many magicks and spells that others do not. She has also witnessed the banishment of the Aegyl to the mortal world. Selena also likes to befriend faeries, as they cannot be seen by mortals, not unlike herself. (If you don't understand the whole faerie thing, read Wicked Lovely by Melissa Marr.) Selena has a neutral attitude, so she's neither evil or good. She just follows her instinct, which is usually never wrong.

Special Abilities: Can hypnotise, can listen into people's minds, and has telekinesis that she uses in throwing objects at her enimies, like the bombs.
Other Info: Shiori has a bunch of small, lethal bombs that she uses in times of battle. She can also replenish her bomb supply only if there are no more left. She was born with wings bigger than expected, and she uses them to her advantage. Her wings act as a sheild to incoming objects or Angels, though not the best sheild, they get her through.

Shiori was gliding along the forest, her feet just barely touching the ground. She picked up a smell. No. Not an enemy, another Aegyl. Never smelt this before... Shiori thought quickly, now spotting the scent. She quietly flew up to a tree and landed on a branch, keeping a bird's-eye-view on the newcomer. She decided to put her newfound powers to the test. Shiori listened into his mind, picking up whatever he would think. This sucks that my kind made me an outcast. "Outcast?" she whispered among the winds. Shiori glided down and landed gracefully in front of him. "Outcast you think? Why ever so?"

when Shiori landed in front of shadow, he quickly jumped back thinking he was being attack. then he noticed that Shiori had the same aura as he did. "so your a Aegyl as well." he said as he relaxed a little.

"Yeah. Also, sorry 'bout just popping in like that, probably almost gave you a heart attack." Shiori mentioned, smiling slightly. All's well that ends well I guess. Why did I just think that? What was the point of it? I don't know... just go with the flow. she thought, staring blankly at the sky. "Oh, I remember what I asked before. Why do you think you're an outcast with us? 'Us' as in you kind, if you were confused. I doubt you were, though. You've got a smart head on your shoulders, I can tell." she said, nodding her head.

((thanks. i'm slowly getting use to it. )) "it's ok"shadow said with a smile. as shadow smiled it revealed a dragon fang."if you must know. it is because an Aegyl is suppose to look like an angel, but i look nothing like an angel. i have a tail, claws, fangs and some have said my eyes are different from a normal Aegyl."shadow said as he looked down at the ground.

Maybe I was wrong about the smart head..... Shiori sighed. "'I'm not following' means that the person, which was me, was not getting what you were saying. As in I couldn't quite understand. Not that you were mumbling or anything, just..... forget it. Oh, and, well, I have to be on my guard, so it's kinda hard to relax around people. Sorry if it confused you." she said rather quickly.
