With Usufii away, the oldest brother was finally free to stretch his leg and not have to watch the whelp's bright a** all day. The ex-pride lander and out lander moved boldly through the Pride Lander's territory. He knew it was safe, it was once his home when he was a cub and his parents told plenty of stories. Once or twice has he meet with locals such as his idiotic cousin Ezekiel and his friends. Still, any territory is a territory, it was those delicious objects that laid inside of them that piqued his interest.
"What to do, what to do..." Valse murmured, strutting around carelessly in the day's heat. With a dark pelt as his, he did not care anymore for the heat. It has grown accustomed. Piercing eyes kept watch for anything of particular interest to the adult lion. A life time of pent of emotions, bottled due to the strict rules of the Outlands, it was time to break free of them and crack the battle over the table.
But who shall be the victim of murderous months of unused testosterone?
He may find that out sooner than later.

(7:25:46 PM) Cajanic: Rai was enjoying the sun. Her black coat sucked it in, soaking her in warmth all over and making her feel like she was glowing, somehow. Yes, it was very hot, but that made it all the more fun when it came time to finally cool off.
Jumping into a pool of water and going instantly from hot to cool was SO rewarding, in her opinion.
She had been lying on her side, letting the sun heat her just a bit more before slowly rolling onto her stomach and climbing casually to her feet. Sighing contently, she shook off some dust, moving to head back to her den. Then, something caught her eye. A male she hadn't seen before. Arching a brow, she watched him, tail swishing from side to side.
"Yo," she called to him, "you lost?"
(7:32:31 PM) PhiferWolf: "Can't be lost if I had no designated place to go to," a female, how interesting that he'd already run into one. With a cocked brow, he made his move toward her direction, casually walking to her. She was young, adolescent as he was just a few moons ago. Black hide with a blotch of his father's own chocolate color, maybe lighter.
"I could aks why you are doing out here by yourself and if you wanted some company," he replied. Actually, he did not care about if she said yes or no, the larger male moved down beside her, a healthy and polite distance from. He was curious about her though. Why was she alone? Who was she? Was she a rogue or a pride lander? Would she but put off with his behavior? Questions he hoped would be answered.
"Name's Valse, a rogue."
(7:39:22 PM) Cajanic: Rai chuckled. Well, it was hard to argue with that logic- it was rather hard to get lost without somewhere to be heading. She didn't think it was even possible. She sat down for the moment, in no reason to rush off. Some girls said it was bad to sit around and talk to strangers but she always enjoyed it.
Strangers had the best stories.
"I wasn't looking for company," she replied simply, "but I'm not against it, either." Tilting her head, she saw he was already on his way over. Good thing she'd said it wasn't a problem- would have been mighty awkward if she had said no.
"Nice to meet you, Valse. I'm Rai. A pride lander. So what brings you here if you're a rogue? Or, since you have no destination, did you know that you wandered into a pride?"
(7:48:47 PM) PhiferWolf: He had guessed right, she was a Pride lander.
"So you're Rai, have to remember that it looks like," he replied smirking at her. He was curious even further now that his questions were answered. Was she the polite, boring kinda girl or was she the spunky type with some fight in her.
"I may be a rogue but the Pride Lands were my birth place, my parents moved us all when I was a cub. So it is just good to be back where I should have been," he purred roughly. The birthplace of a guy like him was the opposite of what he grew up to be. The Outlands mirrored the Pride Lands and thus he grew up in that reflection. "I am sure I have family here. And what about you, didn't really answer my question."
(7:53:48 PM) Cajanic: "So you did have a destination," she grunted, "even if it's the pride itself. You could have said that you weren't lost, you know, sheesh." She wasn't upset, smiling as she spoke. Sometimes she found it amusing to point things out. You know, the odd time she actually noticed something TO point out.
Huffing, she looked away from him for a moment, taking on a thoughtful expression. "Hm, I don't remember you asking me a question," she said faintly, "do you mean what I'm doing out here? If so, well, this is my home. I can't be out here if I want to be. I was sunning and about to go find some mud to roll in."
She watched her, tilting her head to one side. He had an interesting color to him. Deeper than a lot of the browns she was used to seeing in the pride lands. Made her curious.
(8:03:09 PM) PhiferWolf: Oh, a jab. So that was how it was. Valse smirked again and moved a little closer. "I didn't say I wanted to go to the Pride Lands, it just ended up that way, so you could have just said nothing and be hunky dory with it, sheesh," he countered. He was always a fighter, watching his parents argue was the fuel for his own. Then again, their arguments often led them to the den to be... alone.
"You aren't serious about the mud? That is as bad as rolling in a termite mound and I have done that... don't ask, it's a long story I don't want to share yet." He gave anotehr throaty chuckle. valse gave a shrug, he could gave a crap if she wanted to or not. But that just lessens his interest in her after for his plans.
He watched her look at him, cocking a brow. "If you got a question, why not ask it? I won't bite, hard."
(8:32:46 PM) Cajanic: Rai laughed at the comment. Well, that was true enough. "Well fine then!" she said in something kind of like defeat, "sheesh!" She was amused now. At least he knew how to fight back, that was interesting. Most of the males she spoke to kind of just looked at her funny. Didn't they know how to play at all?
Just like the girls. Or maybe they were expecting her to act more like a girl. Either way, it was kind of annoying.
"Then don't bring it up if you don't want to share it!" she chuckled, getting to her feet slowly as she watched the larger animal, "what's wrong about rolling in mud? I do it all the time! It's a great way to cool down. I mean, until the mud dries, I guess, but then you find a watering hole to clean up in."
She watched him a moment, smiling. "The only question I have is whether or not you're going to come play in the mud with me. I mean, if you're scared..."
(8:46:30 PM) PhiferWolf: "Maybe I will tell you some other time if we meet up again," he replied. She got to her feet which made Valse look at her, she was serious about the mud thing it seemed like. "It may be cool to get in the mud but it is a mess to get off your fur. Why not just to the water hole and cool off there, shade and water. And we could scare the crap out of the local prey too."
The ex-pride member raised to his feet and scowled at her with a slight playful grin. "I ain't afraid of anything. I lived in the worst places, a little mud is nothing compared. Why don't you just lead the way then, Rai?"
Mud. He didn't like cleaning his fur, it was the one skill he was absolutely horrible at. But he was hoping, if he played his cards right, that she'd do it for him.
(8:56:16 PM) Cajanic: "Maybe I'll listen," she replied teasingly, "oh! That's no reason not to do it- a little mud didn't hurt anyone. Anyway, I like cleaning my fur, it always makes me feel eztra pretty once my coat is shiny again." And then she jumped in the mud once more and things repeated themselves. It was her little cycle of self appreciation.
She grinned at his acceptance to her challenge- just what she had thought. He wasn't the roll over and accept things kind. Though they had just met, she liked that.
They could get along fine, should he ever come back again. If not, well, she would have to make the most of the time they had at that moment.
"Follow me then," she giggled, turning and sprinting away from him quickly. She made her way a short distance over the lands to a large mud puddle not too far from a watering hole. Without waiting, she sprang into the mud, splaying out onto her stomach.
(9:01:51 PM) PhiferWolf: "Wow, you do have a girly thing about you," he laughed as he got up to follow her, his eyes watching her ever so carefully. She liked to clean fur and she liked to feel pretty. She is a female so it made sense for her to do the things she does. It was her initial behavior that threw him off. She was definitely an interesting find.
With no hesitation, he sank into the mud slowly like an alligator into water, his eyes unblinking and fixated on her. She was strange, but he wasn't going to get his mane too dirty, it was the hardest part to clean since his tongue cannot reach it.
"Oo-oooo-oooh, this is kinda nice. A little sticky..." he spoke, lifting a mud soaked paw to watch the clumpy mud fall off. "... but something I could do from time to time when I can get cleaned off."

Girl thing? She wasn't so sure about that one.
Most animals she met thought she was rather a lot like a boy. Playing in mud, getting into trouble and having a generally good time without following normal rules of society for a female.
"Of course it's sticky!" she chuckled lightly, "but that's okay. It's nice to feel the cool mud. I'm surprised you came in! I thought you might not really do it." Silly, really. She didn't know him at all- maybe he loved to take dares. Getting off her stomach, she walked over to him, rubbing against his body just to rub off some of her grim onto him. "Most of it chips off once it's dry, anyway."

"But it is the feeling of it drying that would seem to bother me, Rai. It isn't the fact that it is sticky. Plus, there is the whole cleaning thing," he answered, shaking himself violently to get her back for rubbing on him. Unlike her, he had more mass and muscle, plus a mane to throw this mud around if he so choose. After the violent shaking, he turned to her with his mane over his face with a 'gotcha' grin.
He had to agree that her behavior is not of the female's norm, but that did not matter to him. His plans simply required a female.
"Do you even know who's been in this water?" He asked, lifting his paws again. The thought ran through his head. Then the mental images. Slowly his face went from that grin to a disgusted frown.
"Where's the water hole?..."

(9:22:38 PM) Cajanic: She laughed, shaking off after his attack. It didn't travel nearly as far, her much smaller frame not as forceful and not such a fine weapon for mud slinging. She wasn't aiming for him, anyway. They were even for now. "you make such a big deal about cleaning!" she commented, "I think that's the best part!" Aside from feeling all nice and cool just lying in the mud, of course.
She couldn't help but laugh again when she saw his face.
"So! What makes the watering hole any better? Do you know what's been in THERE?" it was all the same to her. Still, she climbed out of the mud. "Come one, I'll show you where it is."
(9:26:00 PM) PhiferWolf: Valse laughed at her shake. Pitiful. but it was to be expected from someone like her with such a small frame. "Of course I do, my appearance is what attracts females, and it is my personality that keeps them around for a while. So it helps if I was actually clean. Plus I like to be clean because it makes me feel extra pretty."
The male narrowed her eyes at her comment, getting up out of the mud and moving toward her.
"You are slowly ruining my day, you notice that?" He said with a grin, giving her a quick lick on her clean cheek before pushing past her. All he needed was the general direction of the water hole. He couldn't wait to be cleaned off.
(9:33:18 PM) Cajanic: "Oh, I see," Rai purred, "so you've dealt with a lot of females before. Know how to talk to them. And don't you tease me! Maybe you only attract females because you act so much like one they relate to you!" She didn't really think so, though. She felt like he knew what he was doing and it had nothing to do with being girly.
On the contrary- he seemed like quite the tough male.
She grinned up at him, not minding how much bigger he seemed to be now that she was beside him. "That's what I'm here for!" She led him over a ridge, the mud puddle really not that far from the watering hole. "There, see? Now you can feel extra pretty again."
(9:36:41 PM) PhiferWolf: "Well, maybe I have, maybe I haven't. Then again, I am talking to you aren't I?" he grinned. He was by no means like a female. The only aspect was his ferocity and his capabilities of hunting and providing food for himself. Usu helped, but he did most of the hunting in his own opinion.
"Good, a nice bath would do wonders right now," Again, he sank in without needing to jump or run. As he submerged, the mud rolled off of him like dust and the clumps just fell off. Oh how cool the water felt. It almost made him forget what has been in it all day and the days prior. "Going to join me, tom boy or are ya going back to the mud hole again?" He questioned, carefully licking his paws.
(9:45:49 PM) Cajanic: She rolled her eyes- at least he spoke like a guy. An apparently cocky one at that. But, hey, wasn't like she wasn't cocky herself. She knew what she was doing. At least, she liked to tell herself that. In the back of her mind, she was still a little unsure if she needed to be talking with him so much.
She followed him into the water, moving slowly this time to mimic him. Didn't want to look like the young, foolish lioness now did she?
"I guess I'll be joining you," she replied lightly, "girly-boy. She moved over to him, licking some of the dirt from his mane where she had flicked it onto him. She had to admit- the water did feel a lot nicer than the mud, but feeling the clumps come off her fur helped with that.
(9:50:49 PM) PhiferWolf: Valse looked at her carefully. She was cleaning him. Well, that was a good turn for him to repay that favor. While she worked upon his mane, he boldly reached his head around to the back of her neck and shoulders. Such a small body, seems like he got to the good end of the deal. Less to clean and she had his body to work with.
"You can call me girly-boy, but that is just asking me to show you how male I am, you do realize that..." he murmured between licks, working hard into her shoulders to actually get any mud out of her fur that managed to get down to the skin. Knowing this mud loving girl.
(9:54:08 PM) Cajanic: "Oh really?" replied the female lightly as she worked on some of the other messy areas of fur that the water hadn't quite managed to clean off completely. She had to admit, it was very strange to be cleaning off someone else. Something that she'd never really done before. But... she liked it.
And liked knowing that it didn't have to mean anything, even if it went... certain ways. "I think I would like to see that," she purred, stopping a moment to look at him challengingly, "show me how male you are, then. I'm game."
(9:57:16 PM) PhiferWolf: "Are you sure? You're really asking for something you can't handle," he smirked as he pulled himself away. Maybe she was too young to get what it meant, but it would be her undoing. Then again, it would give reason for him to visit her again and it would also be payback for the mud and the rubbing and the splashing... but it can also be thanks for the cleaning so either way he looked at it, she deserved it one way or another.
Then again, it probably meant he'd be her first in the subject.
Valse cocked a brow and the smirk remained, waiting for her answer. "I won't be going easy on you because you're a girl, y'know."
(9:59:46 PM) Cajanic: "I think I can handle it," replied the smug female, knowing exactly what she was asking though she wasn't sure he was getting the same message. The way he had worded it seemed to suggest that they were on the same page, however.
It was so cool.
And so scary.
"I don't expect you to be easy! I think that wouldn't really prove your manliness anyway." She moved out of the water slowly, looking back over her shoulder at him. "Coming?"
(10:02:17 PM) PhiferWolf: Valse smirked as he lowered his head, a soft growl emitting from his throat. "Oh, this is gonna be fun," he whispered to himself, flexing each toe before stalking after Rai as if she were prey. Maybe it was wrong to do this, but he did like her as a friend and what better way to start a relationship than a long time bond as cubs and, well, being the first?
Valse hurried to catch up to her to wherever they were going. Too bad he'd have to leave to find Usu.
