Physical Description: As blonde as his twin sister, Kesslan, Kor's hair is cut to his jaw and somewhat curly. Playful dark eyes, a wide mouth, long nose, and a light smattering of freckles on his pale skin reveal a surprisingly masculine boy. In fact, it is next to him that Kess really shows that she is the sister of the pair. His broad-shoulders and lean build show that despite his aptitude for music, he is no stranger to labor and the 5'8" boy is quite the looker, with his easy, lopsided grin and happy laugh.
As for clothing, in the warm weather of Ista Island, he subscribes to the 'less is more' belief, and shows off his fit body in a way their mother wishes Kess would.
Personality: Honest, cheerful, and fond of good company, Korist is a charmer. He adores his family [particularly his soft-spoken sister] and enjoys his craft though he was disappointed to be separated from his twin.
Quite willing to be the voice for others, he takes other's advice and trumpets it if he finds it sound. Kor has almost no hesitation when he makes a decision [which he rarely deliberates upon], though he does have a surprising amount of patience. Unfortunately, the boy often gets into trouble [especially at the crafthall without his more observant twin to watch out for him], though his charming smile and disarming intentions usually manage to save him from the worst punishments.
History: One of a set of twins [a sister, Kesslan], and older brother to a much younger sister, Korist never had much responsibility in his early years, his serious older twin handling most issues for him when he got into trouble.
When he was a young child, they were both recommended to become harper's apprentices, however his sister decided to stay at the weyr, for hopes of becoming a Candidate when she was of age. Never one to sit idle, young Korist left the weyr to go to a crafthall in search of adventure, only to have quite the rude awakening. Without Kess around, he found himself bullied and punished quite often.
Roughening the blonde up a bit, he learned to rely on his charm and wit and eventually returned to the weyr... In time for his sister's fifth hatching.
Watching in the sands as she was trampled by her friend's Queen, he found himself searched by a nearby rider/dragon pair, and decided to stick around the weyr as a candidate.
After all, a harper is welcome to stay where he likes, no? The weyr also appeals to him as it is full of children and if he fails to impress, he will simply continue his studies.

Other/Talents: Singing, instruments, lying, driving Kess up a wall. Korist is especially good with children and young animals, and has found a niche in teaching ballads, as well as other harper tools for instruction.
Will this character be a candidate? Yes.
Note: I realize he's a little barebones, but there's plenty of time for next hatching and I plan on developing his character more via RP.
