the same water temp should be fine and of course its ok if he eats flakes! hes eating. always a good sign. i dont know how long he will take to grow. seems to me egg laying fry grow a bit slow.

oh ok that makes sense hmmmm he will fit in almost everyones mouth but he has survived all this time until i found him today but i want to raise him so i guess keeping him in his own tank for a while would be best. correct?

if you want him to live then yes raise him on his own.
he may have survived till you found him but im sure he would have gotten eaten eventually in the main tank. fish eat anything that they can fit in their mouth...and if he fits...he would have ended up a snack.

Lucky find! Generally the only reason people feed fry different food is because it can be tricky to get them to eat since they're so small and some fry need moving food. That's why it's okay to feed him flakes. As long as he'll eat it and it's fish safe, it's perfectly fine for him. Same with temp, whatever the adults are good with, he should be fine with. Times to raise the temps are when you have a sick fish on your hands usually.

Well, do you know what the eggs look like? Probably little jelly blobs like most other fish eggs. Keep an eye out for them! Or they could be livebearers, so you'll just get babies and no eggs. It's worth researching if you wanna collect the babies.

UPDATE
ok he is doing really good still in the 5 galleon all a lone he is eating bigger food so i am happy and his strip is fully noticable now i think he might be a boy but i have to wait for his to mature (males are red where-as females are brownish) he is slowly getting bigger so now its a waitinggame
as for the other pregant barbs goes i cant find a pic of their eggs to save my life so i am going to guess they are like the other ones and i am keeping my eyes open cuz i want to save them and raise them then just give them to my local pet store, its family owned so they take fish

Congratulations on everything going so well!
Though if you are really serious about breeding I'd advise you to set up a special breeding tank, since breeding egglayers in a community tank really is hell. Not many survive then, and transferring eggs is also pretty hard.
