Rosalind flicked her tail impatiently, staring up at the bright afternoon sky. Her brows were furrowed, her scowl pronounced, and her nostrils flared. She was not a happy camper.
For the past few days, her home had been a warzone. After her older sister Dmitrria came home, everything had been happy, though chaotic, for a few days. But the glitter of the event had been blown away with the latest storm; her whole family, Grandfather Will included, had become irritable and mean. Oliver, her father, eventually decided it was too much, and left home for a few days, leaving behind a message with Will saying he would be back soon.
Now it was Rosalind's turn to leave for a while. She was done hanging out with her sister; it was too boring, too safe. She wanted to do something crazy, wild, out there... and Dmitrria would just hold her back.
So, with a sinister grin and her cocky personality, Rosalind took off, wandering across the Soquili lands until she came to the spot she was at now; on top of a rather high, grassy hill, staring up at the sky, impatiently waiting for nightfall. Nothing good happened before midnight.

Rockstar skipped through the thinning forest. Singing softly to himself. Nothing was insight. No bird, no rabbit, no frog, not even a Soquili. But he did not notice. He sang a song he was putting together in his mind. It made no sense, but he didn't care, he liked the rhythm. It went well with his skip. "Night oh night won't you come? Come to me my sweet Selene! With your star light wonders and the crescent moon so cold. I can feel the water spray on my face, the grass bows to your majesty. Come my sweet Selene!"
He closed his eyes and became absorbed with his babble of a song. He continued to sing, sometimes using words that were not even real. And sometimes going into a loud hum instead of using words. He continued to skip happily, he cared about nothing. He just wanted to sing and let his hooves take him where ever they wanted to go.
CLONK.
He felt to the forest floor in a split second. He had hit a tree. His head throbbed. He grumbled. He tried to get up once more, but his flank hit another tree and he cried out in pain. He looked and saw a large, yellowing bruise.
"Selena..." he grumbled under his breathe. Selena, the only other meber of his herd, had kicked him hard last night after coming home. She had returned to their teepee with her friend Brain and Rock had jumped out to greet her. Selena had never much liked Rock or his constant singing, so she had kicked him back inside. And now there was a bruise.
"I wish she wasn't so strong..." Rockstar liked Selena, as she was one of the only Soquili he knew in these lands, but she didn't seem to return the affection.
He sighed, and continued on his way, walking now instead of skipping, and with his eyes open. He exited the forest shortly, and found himself in the open plains. On one of the hills he spied a dark speck. A soquili? He sure hoped so. So he burst into a gallop and ran towards the speck at full speed, and when he was close enough to be able to see that it was indeed a Soquili he yelled out, "Who are you there atop that hill?"
