It had been raining for almost two days since the two Soquili arrived, but it was seeming the worst was long over by the time the two had awoken the day after their arrival in Cuauhcoatl's Longhouse. Looking out the open frame in the entrance of their shelter at white-gray skies, cold, thick droplets of rain splattering across his muzzle, the angeni's skin shuddered slightly as he shook his head with a snort, "Hmn. Still not good weather for us to go out -- you're likely to get hypothermia in this sort of weather or at least catch a horrible cold."
He sighed slightly -- being cooped up like this was worse for him in his current form, as large as it was it made the shelter seem much smaller then it was, and he longed to stretch his wings out for a little exercise, rather then keeping them close to his body like he needed to while still inside the confines of the indoors. At least it's better then being in one of those teepee's the Kawani use, he mused silently before looking down at Ikinya, "I suppose we can entertain ourselves..."

Two days. Two long, drawn out days. Ikinya lay by the door to the longhouse, flattened against the ground as the stray droplets of water from the rain splashed against her nose. She thought she had gotten away from the rainy seasons of africa...but she was wrong. So much for her land of dreams and sunny skies. The rain had ruined her hair, making the braids poof and curl out, completely frizzy all over her head. Ikinya didn't mind though, it wasn't like she was out and about and Cuauhcoatl didn't mind.
"How long do you think it will last?" She asked, looking all the way up at him. She was getting restless and well...bored of being cooped up. She wanted to run, wanted to feel the wind in her mane, the trees below her hooves....wait, what! She was dreaming of flying again? She really was going insane...
"What do you suggest?" Slowly moving to her hooves, the little mare shook out her pelt and turned towards the large male. Curiosity written all over her face as anything would be better than laying around all afternoon!

Looking up into the hazy skies, Cuauhcoatl calculated the air pressure he could fee, "Hmn... It shouldn't last too long. A tropical depression that's now just a big cold rainstorm, especially up here in the mountains. May end today, may continue on for a day or three more."
The Mesoamerican looking Soquili sighed, looking down at her before he headed back into the room, "Well.. I suppose I could read to you.. hmn. I'm quite sure both of us could use some grooming in this humidity." he paused, looking over the brushes, "Hmn... I suppose that means I should try and turn human again.. You wouldn't.. Ah.. Mind would you? I'm rather out of practice, really, its much easier to carry supplies and fly to travel around then to walk on foot."

"3 Days!?!" She gasped, feeling her frame slump in defeat....how on earth could she last for three more days? However, at his suggestions she felt a little more eased...he really was trying to make the day less boring...and she would love to hear his stories he'd collected! Blinking not once, but twice...Ikinya tried to imagine him as a human but found it so difficult. Would he be the same?
"It...w-would be nice..." Admittingly, she hated her hair like this. Yet what if something happened since he hadn't changed in a while....could she even help him if something went wrong? She wasn't some beautiful, elegant unicorn....she was but an Usdia. No powers, no special appendages...just small. "I don't mind....but....what if something goes wrong?" A worried look crossed her face, before dropping her head slightly. "Can things go wrong in a transformation?"
