The LaVey Family
It's interesting to think about how Satanism really started out - how it was discovered, codified, and furnished into such a powerful force. In essence, how Anton LaVey discovered so much about man's animalistic nature parallel to the qualities that identify the Satanist. It took many years of research, self-discovery, and patience to compile such wealth of humanly treasures and instruments - all inscribed within a few "blasphemous" pages. However, behind the scenes of this great act of discovery and magic, there was plenty of real-life drama going on within the LaVey family. After his first relationship with Carole Lansing (having given birth to the eldest of the 3 children - Karla Maritza LaVey), LaVey's second commitment (and mother to Zeena Galatea LaVey) resulted in a disaster where Diane [Hegarty] LaVey sued him under a non-marital relationship contract established between them - otherwise known as palimony. The separation was resolved under civil jurisdiction rather than in a regular family court case. Years later, his last companion - Blanch Barton - was the mother to his third and final child - this one being the only male of the three - Satan Xerxes Carnacki LaVey. LaVey has one grandson by the name of Stanton Zaharoff LaVey (son of Zeena Galatea LaVey; father unknown).
