Through this pass month I had nearly forgotten the Greatest Commandment. There is a quote from St. Augustine I had heard today at Mass, "Without God we cannot, without us, God will not." God is in all of us and it takes each of us being a part of our community for us to share God with others. It only takes 5 loaves and 2 fish for us to feed 5,000. What we share, no matter how small it may seem, that is backed with God's love that we know of through Christ, has a large impact on all around us, even if we are not completely aware of it. I know that each of us that are Christian may have varying ideas about the nature of God and humanity but through Christ, one thing we do hold universally is that we are all called to love our neighbors as we do ourselves. Life may be hectic and we get lost in our own needs but let us not forget that those around us have needs as well and some of they're needs may be even greater than our own. We are in the world but not of the world. Let us all not forget that.

Amen. smile
Ya know, I've wondered for a while how we can be so close to a perfect world, yet so far. I mean, everyone I've had a serious, deep conversation with all have dreams of success, love, and generosity for and by all. But then you look around you and you see that there's still hate, greed, and corruption in almost everything.
Very peculiar how what we dream isn't always what we live. :/

People do not want to change. Until people see a reason to do so people will not. People suck.
