User ImageTauro was a family kind of girl. She loved being with her sister, and her sister's pups, and her now-grown adopted "son." But sometimes the clamering pups were a bit much, and Seiphyr was spending more and more time away from the den (with a girl, apparently, but he didn't tell her anything,) and she longed for company outside the stifling confines of Gomorrah. She tolerated Gerda's other daughter, the alpha, and had grown used to living within the pack, but there were occasions when she felt it all closing in on her.

She reveled in her freedom to race outside the borders, though she rarely spent more than a day away from Gerda, and she often returned with a special treat for the family, perhaps a duck from a pond. Today she wasn't looking for prey, though, she was searching for company, any company, a wolf who wasn't related to her by blood or proxy. It had been a long time, and she needed a change of pace.

User Image "Oh." Angelo cooed, shifting out from beneath the foliage. He routinely woke to a traditional silence, one left for the lonely and bitter but was welcomed by the male. There were ways of going about the solitude one had to live, and for those with a family tree such as his well; the need to be as active both mentally and physically was high. There were bits of meat left from a previous kill near his spot of resting, and in his time between eating and relaxing he had dozed off and dreamed of young ones running rampant along the fringes of a wild flower garden.

There was little to do in the dream, nothing but pups and their guardians and of course the curious Angelo, who loved to watch the young at play. It was odd, yes, but his passion was left for very few things and puppies had always been one of them. The only thing that brought him unwillingly out from the slumber was the feet that crushed leaves and grass beneath them.

She was still far away, but he could see the joy that resonated off her person and was eased from the tension of being brought to a real and rather lonely world. Company was company, and if he could capture her attention for even the shortest amount of time then he'd be rather content. Throwing away the fatigue as best he could with a shake of his head and a lift onto his paws, Angelo waited for the female to reach him, if she even would, keeping his eyes on her remarkably similar form.

User ImageSilas had lived alone for a long time. His parents pack had split when he was young and he had lost them and his sister. He hadn't a clue where they were or what happened to them. All he knew was that they had gone and left him. It didn't bother him much anymore, though once it tormented him and confused his perceptions on family and what it was. He had pushed it from his mind a long time ago and so now it was just him and he rather liked it that way.

He had been wandering for a while already, he wasn't one ot stay in one place for too long, he liked to be on the move mostly because he had no reason to stay in any one place. It just made sense for him to keep moving.

As he moved along, allowing his paws to carry him he spotted a female. He could smell another in the area but they weren't with her. He did a quick calculation in his mind about the risks of talking to her and within a few seconds he was moving towards her.

"Hello!" He bowed his head politely as he spoke, also showing that he was no threat and had no intention in the slightest of hurting her. He had learnt the hard way to make sure it was known he wasn't a threat.

At first, Tauro was overwhelmed by wolf; first a scent that drifted on the wind coming from before her, and then a male who loped up from her side. First she thought, are they surrounding me? and readied herself mentally for defense. If they were hoping she'd be an easy target as an older female, they were wrong; she had never been used to rolling over for anyone or anything. But as soon as she began her preparations, she realized her hypothesis was faulty; after all, someone planning an ambush doesn't stop before you and give a cheer hello, unless he's being very sneaky.

She skidded to a stop from her run, turning to face the one who had spoken to her. She took in the bow and reciprocated, hesitantly, as manners weren't her strong suit and such greetings weren't her way, but she didn't wish to offend. She did that often enough on accident.

"Good day," Tauro answered. Her tail was held just a bit higher than her back, the tip turned up in polite curiosity. They were not far from the other wolf in the foliage; he could probably hear their conversation. The two males looked alike; were they related? "I didn't know anyone lived in these woods; are you and he here together?" She nodded toward the silent stranger, wanting him to make sure he was noticed, if only so that he would reveal his intention rather than skulk in the shadows.

He didn’t feel quite as oppressed, but whatever tension passed through the air was grasped by Angelo in his place of hiding.

There were no traces familiarity between the two, his exchange of a cordial greeting to her unsure acknowledgement, Angelo figured mates was out of the question…even friendship seemed farfetched at this point…

Her head moved, and soon her eyes were on him in the darkest part of the foliage. She laid him in the spot light, and forced him out.

“Ahh, noo.” His words were firm, a bit stronger than was probably necessary and in response, (and almost submission to her motioning of him) he moved away from the thicket and into the light of day. “Awkward a bit, isn’t it?” The long tufts of fur on his head threw themselves over his left eye, a crooked grin spreading on his features. Forced confrontation sometimes left him a bit distraught.

And before him was the other male. Strong, older than he but handsome in his own regard. There was almost a threatening way the other male stood, not so much out of intentional aggression perhaps, but something within Angelo told him he shouldn’t be so kind to the stranger. Bowing his head, if only to show a brief awareness the brown and silver male grind his teeth together.

“My what a day to have three nomads meet, aye?” the thickness to his accent, and the grit to his laughter were made known in the presence of the others.

He was about to say no but as the other did it rather sharply he just stared at the other male for a bit before turning back to the female. Maybe it was due to the fact that there were two males and a female but Silas didn't like the other male being about. This wasn't his territory any more then theirs, his home was a long way from here.

"Hmmm." Was the only reply to the males 'nomad' comment. He didn't really like the term and it didn't help him feel at ease with the other male either and so he turned back to the female.

"I am Silas." He smiled his greeting though he was constantly aware of what the other male was doing. He wasn't even that the other male was being threatening it was just something in the air that made Silas more alert then he would normally be.

Tauro smiled a bit and shrugged at the first male's comment. "I suppose it's as good as any other day," she answered. He didn't seem comfortable, which was probably why he was in the shadows earlier, but that was alright; he was, of course, free to leave, and Tauro didn't care for the comfort of others beyond her own family.

So they didn't know each other, but they didn't seem comfortable with each other's presence. Interesting. Probably the influence of testosterone; Tauro was glad she wasn't male.

"Hello, Silas," she said. "My name is Tauro. And you are…?" If the long-haired male was going to stick around, he might as well participate fully in the conversation. Her legs were aching from her jog, so she sat down, but didn't fully relax her posture. She still didn't fully trust these strangers, though she wouldn't expose them to any animosity. It was simply her nature to keep others on the borders of both her physical and mental territory.

“I don’t know,” Angelo protested, tilting his head up toward the skies with a cockeyed peripheral view of the two opposite wolves. “It is one of the better days I’ve seen this week. It’s always nice to meet when the weather is a bit kinder than most.” and it was, to him, a better day and a kinder way to make acquaintances. Once he had finished off his words he drew in a breath, a calming falling over him even with the rage of hormones threatening all sanity he had.

But then he spoke, the other male and Angelo was forced to simply listen. He had no dispute with Silas, as he now put name to face, and he knew pretty much why he felt so irritated with the presence of him, but this was all not to say he had any right to be rude. His mother had taught him though, and unlike his siblings he would not rebel against manners. Smiling widely, almost going beyond what was necessary Angelo looked to be marking the names in his memory, finally noting Tauro’s inquiry of him. “My name is Angelo,” he began, tipping his muzzle slightly. “Pleasure to meet you Tauro, and you Silas.”

Angelo. "A heavenly name," Tauro joked lightly. That was about as good as her humor got. She was warming up to this male, now that it seemed he had nothing to hide. Besides, she supposed it was a nice day; perhaps it would keep them both in a better mood. "Where are you from, then? I know you're not from the nearest pack." There was her roundabout way of saying she lived in Gomorrah; she wasn't exactly willing to admit to being under Piper's jurisdiction. Maybe Angelo had never even heard of the pack, though he was awfully close. Was he scouting from another pack? Tauro knew little of her neighbors, other than one of the packs was rather secretive and violent--not her type. Apparently Piper found a way to keep the peace. Tauro began to relax a bit, her head tilting to one side as she awaited Angelo's response.

A small joke, how adorable. But it did not deter him from her following question, only allowed for a quick chortle to pass.

“No, I’m afraid to say I’m not. I don’t come from any pack, haven’t been in one for quite some time. Apparently, the one I had been apart of dispersed shortly after my disappearance, though there is no real correlation to my leave and its fall; just coincidence.” Angelo, often well spoke, had the tendency to rant as well. He chuckled smoothly to cover up the ramble just a bit, flicking his fiery gaze off and away from Tauro, capturing a glimpse of the opposite male briefly. He wondered what passed through the males thoughts; jealousy perhaps? If so, then good. He ought to feel jealous.

It was but a surprise meeting; there were no hopes of anything more for Angelo—he just enjoyed the company from time to time (being the socialite he often was when not spying on others). There were possibilities, however, and if this chance encounter were purposed with potential for either Silas OR Angelo, he assumed neither would deny. His earthy muzzle wrinkled slightly as he changed glances again, knowing she may catch the distraction he had, and smiled toward the female in question.

“And you? Where is it do you come from?” It was not wise, nor polite, to mention the other smells on the pelt; you might as well say ‘damn girl, you stink.’ for it'd get the same message across.

Silas was more then happy to watch the exchange, when it came to females he wasn't exactly the most prepared male. He was also happy living on his own but he wasn't about to leave either. He could learn a lot from just listening to their conversation, he had already found out that the male was a rogue as he was, wandering around on his own. He believed the opposite of the female but while he was being ignored he would just pick up the information as he could. You never know when such information could become useful.

To disappoint the other male though he was not jealous. He learnt some time ago that it can be easier to watch and learn then to converse. That and he wasn't overly sure what he thought of females and this one seemed a little strong willed for his liking but he would not leave, not while he could pick up something useful.

Now out of the shadows, Angelo did seem to enjoy the sound of his own voice. That was fine; it was pleasant enough, and if left on her own, Tauro could make for some very awkward conversations. She just always forgot that there was an even exchange supposed to be going on, not just a question-and-answer session--good thing right now she was interested enough to also ask questions.

"There's a pack not distant from here; I live there with my family," Tauro said, unable to keep a bit of pride from leaking into her voice as she spoke the word 'family.' Her greatest wish had always been to have one, and now it had been pieced back together with a few new additions. To her, obviously, it was herself, her semi-adopted son, her sister, and her sister's sons... not the four females who had been birthed by her sister but took little interest in her life.

Now the other male seemed to be sinking into silence, though he was listening intently; Tauro was determined not to let either of them lapse into absent gazing. "What about you, Silas? Are you a wanderer?" She didn’t mean to be rude; there was nothing wrong with wandering. Tauro had done it for years, searching for her siblings, but without any clues, it had morphed into vague rambling.
