One of my favorite places in Portland is the Oregon Zoo. I'm a Zoo member and sometimes volunteer at zoo lights.
I'm really excited about the new Predators of the Serengeti exhibit that will be opening up in September (hopefully).
My favorite exhibit at the zoo is Stellar Cove and watching the sea lions. It used to be Alaska but they took that out to put in the new Predators exhibit. *Sniffle*.
Does anyone else frequent the zoo?

I should probably try to go out there a little more often. The polar bears make me smile. I haven't been there since my high school choir sang for zoo lights my senior year.

Oh really? What year was that? I may have seen it?
I love Zoo Lights!!!! I go just about every year.
There is talk about remodeling the polar bear exhibit. during the summer the concrete in their enclosure gets really hot.

I believe I went from '04-'06. We normally went every year. I don't know if they still do.

the zoo has changed a lot since 06. we have a new baby elephant, of course he doesn't look like so much of a baby anymore. Lions and Cheetahs will be coming to the zoo in September. I mean, I think they are technically already there but they aren't out on display yet.

Friday is member appreciation day at the Zoo. Zoo member get to see the new Predators of the Serengeti exhibit on Friday. Everyone else has to wait till Saturday.
I'll be there and I'm bringing home made pumpkin scones!

I'm on my way to Zoolights at the Oregon Zoo! It opens tonight (although technically they had member only nights the last two nights.) So excited. it's not raining and the weather isn't too cold!

Glory Halleluja! The glitch is fixed! Wow!
So Zoo lights was awesome. I didn't get a lot of time there because we got there late, but I did get my picture taken with a goat! Is anyone else planning on going?

My high school choir got to perform at zoo lights last year. It was amazing!! I had been to the zoo a bunch of times but never to zoo lights
