The months of living alone had sharpened him in more ways than he could have hoped. He had refined his technique, become a deadly hunter. He was right, abandoning his family had given him the opportunity to become something more. He had been soft before, and now he was not. A pleased snarl escaped his lips. He had embraced what his father had feared. The only "weakness" left in him...why that was his own family. He harbored a love for them, even his father, that caused him to remain somewhat soft. He could never really be a cold-blooded killer so long as his love for them remained. He hadn't yet decided whether or not that was a good thing, though he knew he would never try to change it. He liked loving his family.

But outsiders....no, they would feel his wrath. On most occasions, he was bored with those that wandered into his borders. He chased them off with snarls and flashes of fangs. On other, more rarer occasions, he found someone worth conversing with, who was intelligent, astute, and, most importantly, interesting. On the whole, he was surprised at the amount of Soquili that came upon his lands. He was unaware that there were so many travelers about. Perhaps they saw some beauty from roaming the world. Or perhaps they found some new sort of strength. Paradox frowned. If that was the case, he should travel as well. He still wasn't strong enough to confront the Kalona. His father's taint prevented him from being truly wicked, and as he wasn't willing to remove it, he would have to find a way of being stronger by some other means.
