ok i know i made a post about this before, but i couldnt seem to find it. I probably skipped over it a dozen times trying to make sure i didnt skip it sweatdrop
But it seems there is a way to do this, altho everything i have seen requires downgrading your firmware, i am almost positive there is a way to get around doing that. I ripped my own copy of Final Fantasy Tactics (yes it is my own copy) and i tried copying it over the obvious way by putting it on a USB flashdrive, but the problem that im having is getting the PS3 to recognize it as an ISO file, and not look for AVIs/JPGs. I read one such suggestion was to burn the ISOs on a DVD-RW as files, and to feed it into PS3, but im not sure how you would go about copying it over.
Im not sure if im missing anything simple, or if im just going about this wrong way, but does anyone else have any ideas???

TBH no one really bothers with trying to hack the PS3s default OS. Since you can put Linux on it with just a click or two there is no reason to go about hacking it.
If you are really interested in playing PS games on the PS3 without the disc you should look into getting a larger HDD maybe 200GB+ and partitioning like 10GB or lower (whatever they require) and just using it for the PS emulator.

Torrenting? Can't you just go to the official sites and download it?

Linux is open source so it's free. Some may charge but their not worth the time IMO.

Look at those links.
