Lumi layed panting desperately in the shade, her scarf discarded half-hazardly to the side of her. She was miserable, and hot, and sweaty, and miserable, REALLY miserable. It was too hot for her, it was almost hard to breath. She could barely find release. She was sick all the time and even the water in the stream that had once been frigid didn't seem to offer any releif to her. She hated it. She'd begun to think maybe THIS was the reason why she had been so depressed, her body just couldn't handle the heat down here. What made it worse was when Heret would try to come and snuggle near her, or simply lay near her. His extra body heat would make her feel like she was on fire and she couldn't simply move away from him. She'd know it would hurt his feelings, especially since she'd stopped crying now and he thought that everything was alright. She sighed, fluttering her wings in a desperate attempt to cool off the rest of her body.
She had come to the firm decision, that she needed to go back north, to try and cool down, other wise she would most likely die of a heat stroke out here. This was something she'd done every year, the only reason why she hadn't already done so was because she knew Heret's fur was to short to be able to handle the cold.

"Lumi darling? Are you okay?" Heret asked softly as he approuched his mate and dipped his head to nuzzle her. She may think that he was ignorant to her sufferings just because she'd stopped crying, but Heret knew better. He could hear her panting and her wings fluttering as she struggled to keep cool and it worried him. "Lumi, I've been thinking... Maybe you and I should head back north? The climate that I came from was a lot cooler, maybe it'd be enough to make you comfortable?" The only problem would be the higher risk of running into his father... "I don't want you to be miserable anymore."

Lumi immediately lifted her head up to lick his muzzle and nuzzle him back happily. "Of course Heret~" She lied trying to keep the struggle out of her voice, trying to keep her breathing regualr. Begging, PRAYING, he wouldn't decide to lay down next to her. "Why would you think I wasn't wrong?"
Why would she tell him she was sick? That the heat was making her that way? How could she tell him she.... "No. Absolutely not." She stated firmly as he made the suggestion. "It's too dangerous Heret.... It's dangerous enough when you have all of your senses.... I couldn't... I wouldn't.... I don't want to risk getting you hurt, just to provide myself with some small amount of comfort."
