With her mother repainting the House and the smell of paint unpleasant even with the windows open Bishop was finding herself out visiting local parks more and more often. The owl like child was once again was one of the sources of safe play and fresh air. She skipped happily keeping track of her jumps and singing a catching skipping tune at the same time. Skipping was a fun little thing that was able to hold Bishop's attention for quiet some time, plus it kept her healthy or so the doctor had said at her last checkup.
Either the sun was shining, a nice breeze was blowing and birds young and old were chirping happily in nests. It was just a good day to be out and about.

Miles had been walking towards the park. His infant sister, Ellie had been having temper tantrums lately. Meaning screaming. A lot of it. The little oracle had found that even ear plugs didn't help. So he found himself outside in the summer weather. Becoming even more freckly than he already was.
He wasn't watching where he was going--mostly he was watching his shadow on the dark pavement. It amused him to see his shadow as so tall. His head down, he nearly bumped into a skipping girl who appeared slightly older than he was.
"Hi." He managed, recovering. "Are you alright? I didn't bump into you, did I? I'm sorry I interupted your song.."

Bishop smiled and laughed as she regained her balance " No I'm fine and it's ok." Better to be interrupted and have company than to be alone.

Miles smiled, glad the girl was alright. "I'm Miles. What's your name?" He asked, with a slight tilt of his head. If he'd paid close attention, he would have realized that Bishop was one of the friends his cousin Joshua had described to him.
"You want to play a game or something? It's too nice out not to." He shrugged.

The amber eyed girl nodded " Sure what sort of game? I'm Bishop by the way" she held out a hand to shake. A small picture of a fox popped into the girl's mind as she thought about the boy's name, the flying fox from the sonic games was named Miles. This boy however looked nothing like a fox and she didn't think he could fly either.

"Bishop?" Miles repeated, blinking. Where had he heard that name before? He seemed to think about it for a moment. "Do you know my cousin, Joshua?" He asked, with a tilt of his head. Josh had mentioned a Bishop--and there could be only one person with that name, right?
He paused again, thinking. "You can pick the game, if you like," He said. After all, it was only proper to let a lady choose the game.

Bishop nodded and grinned " I know Josh he's really neat, I gave him a sword for Christmas last year." Maybe she should get him a present again this year but as a friend and not just a secret santa. She looked curious " what did he say about me?' Bishop was starting to get to that age where people's opinions about her mattered more.
" We could skip together" It was a bit weird but kinda fun. One of the owl girl's head wings twitched. " Or we could play pretend or something or" there was a gleam in the girl's eyes. " We could lasso each other with the skipping rope. Andrea showed me how it's really neat" There was no real practical use for the skill since they were city dwellers and not crime fighters but it was kinda cool.
