Name: Keefe

Meaning (of name): Loveable, handsome, noble

Age: Adult

Pack: Feanaro and Kahlaria's pack

Rank: Beta

Parents: Notoka (father) x Silvamord (mother)

Siblings: One brother (Ronan), Two sisters (Fleur, Asylie (sp?))

Physical Description: Keefe is a mostly purple wolf though he has a bit of black on him as well. He shows the begining of black on his legs, snout, ears, his back, top of his head, and a 'v' on his chest. His tail is tipped with a silvery gray as is te fur inside his ears. His eyes stand out the most on this pup; they are a deep amber. Keefe resembles his father Notoka quite a bit.

Personality: Already, Keefe shows signs of being quite a dominant pup. He was the first born of his litter and he is quite a tough guy so far. As Keefe has grown he's maintained his dominant personality. He's become much more serious and thoughtful. Keefe rarely speaks to other wolves except for Naf. He likes to think a lot and wants to prove that he's good for something.

Silvamord is Keefe's mother. He loves her dearly and hasn't seen anything but her and his siblings for weeks since he has been in the den. His mother is a source of safety and love for Keefe.

Notoka is Keefe's father. Keefe has only met him once since his birth but loves him already. He seems Notoka as a strong male worthy to be a leader and his father for sure. Keefe wants to be like his father someday; a strong and noble but loving leader, as any young pup does.

Asylie is Keefe's sister. He doesn't know her very well since he hasn't spent much time socializing with his siblings but she's family and he still cares for her.

Fleur is Keefe's other sister. As with his other sister he doesn't know Fleur too well but he's had encounters with her more then any of the others. She does serve as a pretty good pillow so she's ok by Keefe's book as well.

Ronan is the last of Keefe's siblings and his only brother. Keefe hasn't socialized with him but already feels a bond there; boys have to stick together after all! Especially in a den of girls.

Faeolan is one of the pups that Keefe met during his first venture outside of his den. The older pup is pleasant enough and seems to let Keefe have things his was so far which is quite wonderful in Keefe's mind. Though recent events have changed his view on the shy pup after he ran off; Keefe isn't so fond of him anymore.
Kamali Keefe met this pretty green pup while following Faeolan. He was nice at first but then ran off with Faeolan to hunt and didn't come back. Keefe feels quite a bit of resent towards this one.
Feanaro is a wolf that Keefe met while bumming around in the woods one day. The wolf seemed quite distant but impressed the pup with his brave and noble stature. He also brought a two-leg with him which confused the pup at first. As a pup, Keefe embarked on a journey to once again meet the masked wolf and he found him at last. Keefe has joined Feanaro's pack and intends to stay and fiercely protect his new home.

[Nafeeza (pic soon)]: Nafeeza is a female that Keefe met when he first left to find Feanaro. They are both just about the same age and both are purpley; those facts alone were enough to start a close knit friendship between the two. Together, they made their way to Feanaro and joined his pack. Keefe is rather protective of Nafeeza. He's always keeping an eye out for her to make sure she is safe; he doesn't want to risk losing her to anything.

Image hosted by Photobucket.comKahlaria is the alphess of the pack Keefe is currently in; she's Feanaro's mate. Keefe hasn't been around her much but from the little he has he knows she's a good wolf. Something about her just radiates kindness and Keefe enjoys being around her.

[Gizmo (pic soon)] Gizmo is a wolf that is apparently quite close to Feanaro. Though he is not part of the pack, Gizmo seems to be accepted there and Keefe is fine with that. In fact, Keefe is quite fond of the mostly silent adult and hopefully he can get to know him eventually.

Hanging out with the 'Fam'

JadeEye
Notoka padded hesitantly towards the den where he'd left Silva, worried at what sort of rebuke he'd get for taking off again. Honestly, it had been in the she-wolf's best intentions....he'd been trying to hunt again. Sadly, all he earned was a kick in the side and a very light gash there from the kick.

Silva?

Sayuri_Nitta
Silva blinked sleepily, stirring slowly and looking towards the entrance. The pups were pulling at her side, and had grown well in the time since she had given birth. She had left them once, hunger forcing her outside where she had lucked upon a half-eaten abandoned carcass. She growled menacingly, not awake enough to recognise Notoka.

JadeEye
Notoka hesitated immediately, a forepaw lifted in the air as he considered taking that step forward. He'd never heard her growl quite like that before.

Whoa.....uh...you okay in there? he babbled nervously. I mean, I know i've been gone but I was trying to hunt for you! Trying being the keyword...

Dagi
The young Keefe had taken a short nap after feeding his fill earlier but a sound had roused him. This whole 'sound' thing was new... But enjoyable. His newly opened amber eyes gazed up at the large purple wolf that had entered the safety of the den. He cuddled close to his mother; not too sure of what to think of this new wolf. The wolf smelled familiar though; kind of like mom so he wasn't that worried. He let out a tiny yip and peeked out from behind his mother's fur.

Sayuri_Nitta
Silva licked at the little male that had stopped feeding, before turning her head towards the entrance again;
Notoka? she called, not wanting to move and disturb the rest of the litter at her side.
I thought it was someone else...come inside

JadeEye
The male shifted into movement again, blinking as he tried to peer through the darkness of the den. He smelt the air. Wha...?

...Pups?!

Dagi
Keefe closed his eyes momentarily and smiled as his mother licked him. They then peered up once again; the new wolf was advancing even farther into the den! His amber gaze dashed to his mother; she wasn't worried. Infact she seemed quite happy with the fact that this wolf was coming in. Once again curious eyes zipped to the purple wolf; he seemed surprised... Had he never seen pups before? Keefe looked happily up at Notoka; if mom was happy with the wolf then he would be too.

Sayuri_Nitta
Silva finally stood, a tightness in her legs allowing her to do little else. The other pups yelped as their mother moved, and they started whining a little.
Yes..pups, she said, smiling a little.
You are a daddy Notoka.

JadeEye
..But...but WHEN? he whined, pushed forward to look over the little balls of fur with an expression mixed between anguish and complete-OMG. How old? How many? Are they all okay?

He started nuzzling over each body as if inspecting them for extra legs, not enough toes, etc.

Dagi
A look of total surprise came onto the pup's face as his mother stood up; his warm, toasty spot had been suddenly taken from him! He grumbled in protest but then quickly turned his attention to this Notoka character. From teh conversation just a few seconds ago he had found out that this was infact his father. What a pleasant surprise! The tiny pup licked at his father's nose as he checked him over; stubby tail wagging about with excitement.

Sayuri_Nitta
I kind of lost count of how many days ago it was not wishing to start any argument with him about how long he had gone; after all he had gone for a good reason. She went over and licked his ruff, watching in the gloom as he inspected the pups;
Four, two boys and two girls she said.

JadeEye
The alpha kept nosing through his "brood" but paused as one licked his nose. He looked like he could melt into the floor right about then.

Awr....you look like me! he commented absently, peering at the purple-toned pup closely, grinning somewhat.

Dagi
Keefe smiled up at his father; this guy wasn't as bad as he had been a few minutes ago. Infact, Keefe kinda liked him. Indeed the big male did look like him. Keefe beamed; looking like an important wolf like his father was quite a joy to a pup as young as he. The pup smiled and pondered for a moment; his rarely used vocal chords straining to speak to this male but when the word Keefe had worked on for so many seconds finally came out he was quite proud of himself,

"....Dad!"

Sayuri_Nitta
Silva nodded;
This one looks a little like me, she said, nosing one of the females out of the pup-pile.

JadeEye
The female that Silva nosed made a faint mrrrrr noise and cracked an eye, then tried to drag herself back to the warmth of her brothers and sisters.

Notoka glanced over to see this mini-Silva and grinned. Got your little green markings...was wondering if any of them'd have it.... He puffed up with pride as he looked his children over, then turned his attention back to the purple male pup just as it managed to squeak out "Dad!". Awwwr....Notoka was positively whipped, or so it looked as his eyes sort of misted over.

Sayuri_Nitta
Silva forced a smile as the pup spoke to Notoka - I give birth and nurse them and his first word is 'Dad'?, she fumed inwardly a little - she roughly washed the little purple pup across the head before curling up again around its siblings. Maybe she had been cooped up too long, and she yawned widely.

Dagi
Keefe grinned happily to his father and then turned to his sister who was crawling her way over. He yipped and nuzzled her lightly. He was ok with her being there for now but later she'd have to go find another daddy for Keefe had claimed this one his. The pup's stout legs scrambled about under him. He had been trying to do some of that walking or even standing as it was called for a while now but things just hadn't been going his way lately. Keefe didn't get too far with 'Project Stand' but he did heave himself up to a sitting position. His muscles were quite useless when it came to moving about like a normal wolf. He let out a soft sigh; he'd be scooting around for a little while longer.

A sound stirred about behind him and his neck craned around to see. His mother had layed down again! Here was some good news; he had been getting cold. He flopped back down to the ground and wiggled his way over to his warm mother and nuzzled her lovingly. He loved his mother no doubt but the surprise of seeing a new wolf enter the den was quite great. What a tiring experience.

Sayuri_Nitta
Silva shifted slightly so that if they wanted to feed they could, and turning started washing them all once more, pulling each pup towards her and cleaning it from nose to tail tip.

Dagi
Keefe's eyes lit up at the tought of food. He scooted towards mom faster and dove right in; pawing at her underbelly and drinking away at the milk that had made him so healthy already. He had no worry about what his siblings thought of him just shoving himself in there; he was first born so in his mind he was the best. Ah lunchtime...or was it dinner... snack? Keefe decided not to worry about this; he didn't have much of a sense for time just yet.

Sayuri_Nitta
Silva left off cleaning finally, and the little lavender female yipped with relief, scrabbling to her mother's side and latching onto a teat besides Keefe. She stood on him a little as she squeezed between her brother and sister.

JadeEye
Notoka settled down to watch, his head lying close to the wriggling bodies of his offspring, taking in their familiar, yet also distingushed different smells.

Dagi
Keefe wriggled about as his sister stepped onto him; trying to free himself from under her paw. Things always got so croweded during feeding times. Still latched onto his mother he gazed sideways at his lavender sister and gave her a stern look that said 'Watch yer steppin'. He quickly forgave her though as he drank on.

Sayuri_Nitta
Silva slipped into a sleep again, lulled by the kneading at her side. The lavender female let go of her mother's teat and fell asleep also.

Dagi
Keefe had felt his mother's body relax and decided it was time for a nice long nap as well. He let got of the teat and rolled onto his side; belly as taught as a drum. He looked over at his sister and cuddled up by her; keeping as warm as he could. With a finaly sigh of satisfaction Keefe fell into a deep and very comforatble sleep.

Playing with Brother Ronan
Dagi
The small purple pup wasn't as small as he had been just a few days ago; he had grown considerably on his rich diet and loving care. He had been working on this walking thing over the days and was getting pretty good at it. It was nice to be able to stumble around the den instead of having to scoot around. At this point he actually started to recognize his siblings as more than things to cuddle up with. Keefe had awoken with a big puppy yawn; lifting his head and blinking his amber eyes to look around the still den. He seemed to be the only one up; that stunk; he wanted to play! After a few good tried Keefe was on his wobbly feet; sniffing around his mommy and falling every once in a while.
lilwerewolfgirl
*Laying down upon the ground quite snugly the dark green male wold didnt want to move.... he knew he had too, but he rather prefured to try and stumble around on his own. Recent he had opened up his eyes lids.. only to find the world exactly as dark as the insides of his eyes e.e. what was the point of opening them again? He pondered to himself silently. Lifting up his eyes heavily Ronan sniffed silently into the air, listening. their was movement... proberbly from one of his siblings. His mothers milk had been very nourashing for the pup and edged his growth along rather rapidly. Deciding that even though he'd rather learn to walk alone.. it was best to try. Heaving up onto his wobly paws his body weight at first held him down, but eventually he started to walk.. or.. rather stumble. He did this for a few seconds until he axidently stumbled into something about as big as himself.* o-o

Dagi
Keefe had been snurfing around the den and settled down at a spot; pawing and digging at a patch of dirt. This was quite a relaxing activity; he hadn't noticed any going ons in the den for that time so the collision was a surprise. He let out a high pitched yelp and jumped clumsily around to face a dark green pup that he recognized as his younger brother. Keefe quickly regained his composure and looked seriously at his brother... As seriously as a puppy could that is. Keefe let out a playful growl; bareing his rather useless puppy teeth.

"Hey watch it thewe bwothow!" (aka watch it there brother xD)

lilwerewolfgirl
* Stumbling back and falling back onto the ground with a small 'ommf' emerging from his muzzle Ronan stared up at his brothers gaze.* "Brodah gots innzz mi way." ((AKA brother got in my way))* Stumbling back onto his shaky limbs the deep greenish male returned the playful grown with a funish-snarl, baring his new small teeth. Ronan felt like playing o-o*

Dagi
Keefe nodded harshly and added with a yip,

"Das wight! 'E did!"

His amber eyes narrowed as he picked up his brother's playfull response. And though he was still shaky from the collision he pranced toward his brother in wobbly steps and latched onto one of Ronan's green eyes; falling to the ground and taking his brother with him as he did. He let out another happy growl; little stubby paws and legs scrambling to stand up and regain their balance once again.

lilwerewolfgirl
* A playful yip emerged from his muzzle as his brother fell upon the ground and decided to take Ronan with him. o-o. With another solf 'ommf' Ronan found himself sprawled on the ground for a second, looking rather dazed as well. Placing his front paws on the ground he pushed himself once again onto his shakey limbs. This time, as sort as a... offensive approach, Ronan stmbled forwards towards the other pup. Tripping over a rather raised chunk of earth, the green pup stumbled into the purple males back fur giving him a playing n** and nibble on him.*

Dagi
Keefe had clumbered up and was recovered and ready when his brother charged at him; amber eyes met mossy ones as Keefe let out a playfull glare. Out of nowhere his brother ducked out of sight and suddenly Keefe himself was down with him! This was another surprise! The purple pup let out a yelp in surprise; his tounge lolling about in all his joy. He hadn't played like this... Since ever! Little did he know this was going to help him be a lethal killer when he grew older but for now it was just good old fun. Keefe twisted about as he felt his brother's teeth on his scruff. He let of a happy yip and bent his flexible puppy bones over to reach his brother's tail and latch onto it; determination in his young, amber eyes.

Out of The Den

Dagi
A small orange figure once again had made his way through the woods; he had found the previous place where he took residence to be quite boring so he had movied on in hope of finding new wolves and new adventures. On his trot to a new place he came upon a den; he was just about to waltz in there when a scent of wolf beat him back. With a careful and very wary eye he peeked in to find a resting mother and her pups. The fox's little eyes bugged out and he backed away quickly. That was seriously stupid... Mother wolves were more dangerous than any of the other wolves he had encountered. He sat down not too far from the den and stared at the entrance for no good reason at all.
A purple pup stirred from inside that same den that the fox had just peeked into. He hadn't seen anything but he had smelt something new and this interested him. Keefe stood up onto his now strong legs and shook and stretched. He looked behind his shoulder to find the rest of his familt sleeping. He grinned and decided to sneak out; mom would never know! Carefully and quietly the brave pup slinked out of the safety of his den; for the first time exposed to the big and new thing that was the outdoors.

Dagi

The fox's ears perked; something was up and about that was for sure! He stood quietly and moved forward. He wanted to make sure it wasn't one of the parents from that litter of pups; he didn't feel like almost being puppy chow today. He took a few good sniffs and crept forward still. All his carfullness was in vain... Or so it seemed for it was only a strange purple pup that had made his way out. He grinned,

"You there! Pup!"

Keefe whipped around; hackles raised already. Something had said... Something and it was a something he didn't understand. He lowered himself to the ground and growled; staring that the orange beast that had just spoken. What was it? It looked like a wolf... But was obviously stupider since it couldn't speak and intelligent language,

"What do you want beast?"

Dagi
The fox was quite surprised by the pup's reaction. He tried to decipher what the thing had said but it wasn't clicking. The good thing was that he was bigger than this wolf.... FOR ONCE! With a sigh of relief he rose his small hackles as well; a low growl rumbling in his throat. His blue eyes narrowed on the over confident pup,

"Back down buddy"

Keefe tweeked an ear to listen but didn't pick up the garbled yips. He didn't need to listen anyways; what if this creature wanted to eat his family?! Keefe wouldn't stand for that. He snapped his tiny jaws out at the fox; brushing the air infront of him and growled again.

"Why don't you get out of here stupid orange thing; you can't even talk normal!"

This conversation wasn't going to go anywhere; neither could understand one another and both were acting quite volatile. One was going to have to back down... It wasn't going to be Keefe.

lilwerewolfgirl

*What to do.. what to do... its too crowded in here! The male pup thought inside the den from which he was born. He needed to go outside.. and get some fresh air.. and clear his mind. Lifting up his body he sould now walk strait, yes it wasnt a very... good walk, he would stumble every now and then but he was doing pretty well. As he was getting ready to exit he saw something! His brother he guessed also wanted some fresh air. Moving out with him Ronan decided not to make his presence known at first. He followed him a little ways... but then he stopped and heard something moving around. What type of wolf was that? It was tall.. pure red.. and looked funny. Coming out of hiding the deep green pup waddled over to his older brother.* "Who's the fat and ugly one?" *He said looking towards the fox.*

Dagi
Keefe growled as his brother crept near. He had smelled the other pup a while back when he wandered out. Well it was two to one now so things were on the side of the small pups. Keefe took a moment to whip his head to the side and stare at his brother with those amber eyes of his,

"Stay back Ronan, I think this guy wants to eat us or something... I've got it under control... Look how scared he is!"

Things couldn't have been any more different. Conroy wouldn't have been scared if the whole litter had toddled out to face off with him; as long as is wasn't the parents he was fine. His eyes dashed to the new pup that emerged from the den; a sibling to the one growling at him no doubt. He stood quietly; only a rumble here and there. His eyes were narrowed at the two; he had meant them no harm but if he was to protect himself... Well then things would be different.

JadeEye
You're gonna get in trouble~ a light, almost whiny voice whispered from the darkness of the den entrance where a pair of eyes shined through the dark, one of which was wrapped in green markings like Silva's.

Asylie poked her muzzle out slightly from the safety of the den shelter and gave her brothers disapproving headshakes before again making a whiny snort.

Lauryn de Vampyre

Faeolan sauntered foreward, his green and black head hung down because the muscles in his neck didn't want to work. His entire body felt tired since he had spent most of the day chasing a few rabits around, and all but one getting away. The rabit had satiated his hunger then, but now he was hungry again and knew it might be a while before he had enough strength to hunt again.

With his spirits low, and the lonliness inside of him growing, he tried to think of how it was he came to be all alone and fending for himself. He knew just enough from instinct to hunt the lesser animals and had survived from meal to meal, and had roamed the land because he did not have a den to call home.

The green and black pup knew that he was greatful to be alive, but wished that he had someone to be with, someone to teach him how to hunt properly...a friend.

Faeolan walked foreward, because he knew if he stopped he wouldn't have the strength to get up again. The pup knew that he must be making lots of noise, but he didn't care.

lilwerewolfgirl

" Ide think not..." *Said Ronan to Keefe in a sly tone. Ronan knew he was just trying to be the big brave one, but in reality he was proberbly also scared.* "You just want to think you are. Naw im joking, i personally think think that red things the uglyest thing ive ever seen." * Green eyes swiveling back to the den entrance as his sister made a appearance he gave her a puppy smirk.* "Afraid to come out?"

Dagi
Keefe's eyes zipped to his sister as he glared at her and hissed from inbetween his teeth,

"Asylie, shhhhhhhhh! Mom might hear ya! If you're gonna talk come out here where she can't hear ya, duhh!"

He huffed and grinned at her; mocking her to come out of the den in a way. He was about to turn back and insult the orange critter with his brother but something else entered his nasal passages. It was the scent of another wolf,

"Smell that Ronan? Think he wants to eat us too?"

Keefe chuckled and sniffed about; his snout high in the air; forgetting about the fox for the moment. Before long a green and black pup entered his sights. He had never seen a wolf other than his family but even other pups may be threats. He growled quietly to establish his presence,

"You there, who are you?"

The pup didn't too threatening; infact he looked pretty bad. Where was his mom? Maybe he was lost or something... But it was better to be safe than sorry in Keefe's mind.

JadeEye
Asylie's eyes narrowed at the challenge and she huffed indignantly, the fur on her neck bristling.
I'm not scared at all, she grumbled as she slid forward slightly so she was half in, half out of the den. She wriggled her forepaws against the slightly slushed snow and pulled her ears back.

It's cold out here...and smells weird.

She was complete oblivious to the fox or the other pup.

Lauryn de Vampyre
Faeolan had been so intent upon his own thoughts that he almost hadn't even heard someone speaking. When it finally did reach his ears, the first few seconds he tried to convince himself it was his immagination. Surely there weren't other wolves around here...were there?

Curious, and now hopeful, he lifted his head and gazed around. He stopped walking suddenly, amazed at what he saw. It was another wolf!

Faeolan was so stunned at seeing another being that he didn't even think to speak.

lilwerewolfgirl
"Naww your scared, see your bodies not all of the way out. But i will give you the smelling weird thing..." *Ronan was just meaning to teese her as a lil joke, even though the smelling bad thing was true >o>;;*

*Eyes rounding back to his brother he couldnt help but see his eyes widen.* "Keefe! Dont wander to far you'll get lost! Whats that horrid smell?" * The green male wasnt used to the smells of the outside world.. so EVERYTHING smelt bad to him.*

*Eyes looking around he gave a short eye roll and headed back for the den. He didnt really like exploring all that much.... being more of a pup that liked to stay in small area's.*

Lethrossen

Kamali had walked a long time, finding no suitable place to rest and finding himself slightly confused, he was not sure where he was in the forest. His fur was the lightest bit damp still, and he'd schooled his shivers to stillness, he would not be surprised if he got a cold, though. And I'd probably deserve it, too. Doing such a stupid thing... It was true that he was growing, but he hadn't grown enough yet, and he shouldn't of tried to brave that river with out aid.

His lids drooped slightly, he was still tired, and lonely. And worried. He should have told Haku or Lera he was going.. Or Tobias.. what if Tobias learned that he was missing? Would he worry? He whined lightly, feeling rather guilty, and defeated.

JadeEye
There was a loud grunt from inside the den, most likely from the pup's snoring father. However, it was enough to spook Asylie to retract back into the den except for the tips of her paws. She blinked demurely at her siblings.

Well...so what if I don't wanna come out. I won't get in trouble at least!

Lauryn de Vampyre

Faeolan had been so startled at seeing others, that he had forgotten his better judgement for the time being and had taken off running away from them. The trees and shrubbery was a blur as he sped past them with a speed that he didn't realize he still possessed.

Finally, when he started to come back into his mind he realized what he had just done. Finally, FINALLY he had met other wolves which was what he had wished for. And when he finally found some, he freaked and ran off. Faeolan growled at himself and stopped in his tracks. He stood there, thinking about whether he should go back there or not. Surely they would think ill of him now...

Lethrossen
Kam could hear the tromping of the other male pup, and looked up just in time to scramble out of his path, with a light, almost unheard squeak. Eyes wide in surprise he stared to the other pup, head tilted. He was green, like Kam.. only much different at the same time. He took a slow step backword, "hello?" He whispered.

Lauryn de Vampyre

Faeolan had been yet again so deep in thought he hadn't realized that someone else was nearby, and was once again startled when the wolf pup spoke to him. He turned around and looked to see who was there, and was releaved to see that it was another pup like himself.

The pup could feel himself wanting to run, but he longed more for company and told his body to stay. "H...hello." It had been a long, long time since he had spoken to another being. He didn't even remember the last time.

Dagi
Keefe huffed as both his sibling retreated back into the den; what whimps!? Was he the only brave one in this family? He shook his head and made a face at his sister,

"Who cares about trouble... No one'll notice anyways; they're both snoozin' away in there on any note"

His ears pressed back to this skull as he saw his brother leave as well. the pup frowned; his own brother, leaving him all alone! Shameful! His attention quickly shifted from his siblings to the wolf pup that had just appeared. Before even saying a word that pup had run off too... Well this was no fun! Keefe grumbled and plopped down; no way was he going back into the den just yet; he had been stuck in there for weeks!

Lethrossen
Kamali whined slightly, looking around frantically. He was worried about what was making him so worried, not realizing it was Kamali himself. He slowly calmed himself, still speaking rather quietly. "Do you.. perhaps know where we are located?" His head tilted, golden orbs flicking slightly around again. "Oh.. I'm Kamali.." his tail gave a few swishes, trying to prove he was harmless.

Lauryn de Vampyre
Without realizing it, his tail and lifted itself showing that if a fight was about to happen, he'd be ready for it. After the pup had introduced himself, he realized what he was doing and lowered his tail as well as relaxing his muscles. Faeolan took a deep breath to calm himself down.

"Sorry, but I don't know where I am. And...and I'm Faeolan." It felt strange to him, as he sat down on his back haunches, that he should know his name but nothing else about his past.

Dagi
Keefe... Being Keefe decided not to stick around and wait for his brother or sister to come back out and play with him but to go out and pursue that wolf that had run off. He took a final look to the den before speeding off as fast as puppy paws could take him; he'd return soon enough though. It wasn't long before he cam across the pup... Talking to another pup of all things! This was new to him seeing as how he had never seen other pups that didn't live in the den. They did smell strange; Ronan had been right. He was used to have everything smell like his beloved mommy but this wasn't the case out here. His ears perked to catch what the two had been talking about. is chest poofed out as he moved to stand near them,

"Don't know where you are?! You're on my father's territory; watch your step!"

He narrowed his eyes; trying to look as tough as a little puppy could in his father's place. Keefe wasn't sure about what to do with outsiders but he'd let them stay... If they were going to keep him company that is.

Lethrossen
Kamali sighed lightly, perhaps he would run into some one who did know.. but for now he was just as happy to chat with Faeolan. "It's nice to meet you..." he trailed off. He was not sure what else to say, usualy he met outgoing pups, and even though he was shy he seemed to find it easier to hold conversation. This pup seemed almost as shy as himself! Or maybe uneasey..

edit Kamali jumped a bit, ears flattening and tail tucking in surprise as his gaze jerked to another pup.. and he realized the other pup was about the size of Lera's own litter, smaller than him, but big enough to move about and not need his mother constantly. He tried to rack his brain for any metnion of the other wolf, his hackles slightly raised, tail coming untucked. "I do not mean to tresspass.." he murmered, stairing at the younger pup. He was not so afraid.. but he did look about wearily.

Lauryn de Vampyre
Faolan watched the pup with great interest, still unsure whether or not to give his trust to him. Being cautious was one of his greatest talents, even though it seemed to stunt him socially but proved to be useful out on his own. Slowly, the pup began to feel his uneasiness melting away.

He sniffed the air, making a note to memorize the scent of this pup should they ever wish to meet again after this. And for the first time in ages, Faeolan smiled. "It's nice to meet you too. I've been wandering, alone, for a long time and am relieved to meet someone else."

Lethrossen
Kamali turned his attention back to Faeolan "Yes, I felt that the first time I met another after my own wanderings.. " His smile was given after the others, it seemed contagious. "I am just journying now. But again, it is nice to meet others any time. Though a place to rest might be nice.." he looked a bit sheepish, and shrugged.

Lauryn de Vampyre
Faeolan nodded in agreement with Kamali and sighed wistfully. "Yeah, a place to rest would be really nice. I found a few caves before, but I'm sure we're a long ways away from them." He hung his head, feeling his stomach growl loudly while his muscled cried out for rest.

"Wanna go look for somewhere to rest?"

Dagi
Keefe beamed once again as thisnew minty green pup spoke. He grinned at both of them infront of him,

"Well be happy that I found ya... Not my dad... Who are you guys anyways?"

Keefe wasn't sure if his dad would do anything to these pups but in Keefe's mind his dad would take down any opposing force. But these guys were alright so far. Might as well buddy up while he had the chance.

Lethrossen
Kamali nodded slowly, ears perking and hearing the other's 'cry of hunger' which was involintary, obviously. "And after we find a spot.. before I rest.. i think I will try to find some small game. Maybe long ears.. Im sure there are some around. I am.. a little hungry from my struggle across a large river.." He glanced to the other pup again. "Excuse us, we will be leaving... I am sorry to have tred upon your father's soils.." Kamali shifted a bit, looking to Faeolan. Then the pup began to question, and he did not want to be rude! So he turned, letting himself sink to a sitting position. "Im sure finding a resting spot can wait.." He murmered, the comment directed at Faeolan. "I am Kamali. What is your name?" His head tilted lightly. "If I may ask.."

Lauryn de Vampyre

Faeolan had been suprised to find that the pup he had seen before had found him, had gone looking for him. He was kind of glad though, because this gave him a chance to prove to the other that he wasn't the weirdo running off might have made him look like.

"I...I didn't know I was trespassing." The green and black pup worried for a moment about what the pack leader could do to him, before realizing that this was the leader's son...

"My name...is Faeolan."

Dagi
Keefe's tiny spirits sank as he heard that the two were going to be moving on. This was the first time he had met wolves outside of the den and they decided to run off! He huffed and partly regreted blabbing about these being his father's lands... Even though they were and as his first born son Keefe had appointed himself to look after them. He smiled though and shook his head,

"You guys are ok... You can stay for now I suppose, the might Keefe shall let this one slide"

He nodded roughly to confirm his comment. The purple pup's head moved back from the minty pup to the olivey one; absorbing their names into his freshly fresh brain. He looked up to them,

"Well nice ta meet ya guys; I'm Keefe... Remember that k?"

Lauryn de Vampyre
Faeolan grinned at the dark purple pup, feeling refreshed by his cheerfulness. Surely things wouldn't go back to the way they were before now that he had met other pups. Right?

Faeolan looked to Kamali. "Maybe we can stay. All I know is I'm starving, and I"m not sure I have the strength to hunt alone."

Lethrossen
"Keefe, it is?" He tested the sound out on his tounge, and nodded slowly. "Oh, we can stay.. perhaps for a bit.. But i am exausted." He mumbled, ears slightly lowering in a guilty manner. It was not that he wanted to leave! On the contrary, he enjoyed meeting new pups, and other wolves for that matter. " He glanced to faeolan. "Well.. I know a little of hunting.. and perhaps you two can get aquainted and I will be back in a bit?" He started to stand again, if they were to chat Faeolan at least needed some food. "I will be back." He smiled to both, starting to slip away.

Lauryn de Vampyre
Faeolan watched as Kamali got up to leave and quickly got up as well. "Wait! Things might go faster and better if we hunt together." For a young pup, he had to become very adept at using common sense in order to survive on his own. "Let me go with you. Keefe, if you want to come we could use the help."

Dagi
Keefe's eyes got wide; hunting... That was what dad did and then he gave what he got to mom. Keefe hadn't had much meat in his short days and wasn't really planning on it just yet. He had eaten not too long ago on any note. Keefe didn't know the land at all; he just knew it was his father's but he had never been out of the den before so he had no idea where anything was. If he did he'd bring them to a den or cave or something... He surely couldn't bring them back to his den; no way jose. Mom would kill him... And then go after his new companions. He tilted his head to Kamali as he said he was off to hunt; it was fine by him. Seemingly Faeolan was to join him too. He shook his head at the propsal; he'd only get in the way; he knew nothing of hunting so far.

"Naw, you guys go ahead... I'll wait for ya, good luck though!"

Lethrossen
Kamali nodded lightly. "We will be back, Keefe. It shouldn't take too long.." He winced a little despite himself. How he hated blood.. and blood would needed to be spilt, if Faeolan was going to get something to satify him. He started toward the woods, glancing to faeo, making sure he was following.

Lauryn de Vampyre
Faeolan nodded to Keefe, singaling that he understood and that they would return, then followed beside Kamali. Although he couldn't place what exactly it was, he could tell that the minty puppy was uneasy about something. He hoped it wasn't his pressence.

"Are you alright? We don't have to hunt if you don't want to. I can do it myself." He could...but he knew it might take him awhile before succesfully catching anything.

Lethrossen
Kamali shifted, glancing to his new companion. "I am fine.." he reassured the other, but lying was not his way. "Blood just makes me a bit uneasy.. it does not, how ever, disable my ability to hunt. And like you said.. it will be easier with two of us. I know I could barely catch anything when I was by myself.." he murmered. "But then Carmen taught me to hunt.. " he glanced sideways at the other. "She is in my pack." He infromed, giving a sheepish smile. "But uh.. Im talking to much.. if we want any luck we should be quiet, yes?" And with that he fell silent, body dropping slightly to the ground, ears up and aleart, tail down, in a stalking manner.

Lauryn de Vampyre
Faeolan listened and understood. "I was never taught to hunt, so I guess I've been lucky with what I've caught already. How about this, you just help trapping the animal and I'll strike the killing blow." After that, he shut his muzzle and agreed silently that they should be quiet.

The pup listened to the music of the forest for any signs of prey nearby, such as snapping of twigs or the running of feet.

Lethrossen
Kamali nodded, that sounded like a good plan. After a while his nose pricked a bit, he was aware of the faint sent of long-ears, and put his nose to the ground, heading a ways, the sent getting some what stronger. Perhaps they were now onto something! A trail!

Lauryn de Vampyre
Faeolan had been walking alongside Kamali when the other pup seemed to speed up while he put his nose closer to the ground. Could it really be that he had caught a scent so fast? Hope flared brightly inside of his being and he too started to sniff at the ground. It took a moment or two, but finally he caught the scent of a long-ear...and it smelled nearby!

Speeding up, Faeolan followed the scent and made sure to keep soft footfalls and to watch where he was going. One wrong snap of a twig could send their prey running away too fast for them to catch it. After a few minutes of following the trail, their noses had paid off. Before him he could see the small form of a distant long-ear, hiding under some bushes.

He looked to Kamali as if to ask what next. He had always just run in after located his prey.

First Meeting: Feanaro and Hinto
Dagi

The purple pup huffed and he heaved himself up. After a quick few whines and yips he found no reply. Looks like those older pups had found something better to do. He frowned and looked around; pacing a bit in his little fury. Keefe growled absent mindedly and started to make his way to the den; maybe he's pick on his siblings to make up for this. Something stopped him though; it was the scent of another wolf... Not one that he had ever encountered before though. This new wolf also brought the scent of something the pup couldn't quite put a paw on; it was foreign and strange. With his frown still inplace Keefe broke into a slow trot; hoping to catch a glimpse of this wolf and whatever it had with it.

Thalion
The black cloud would probibly be the first thing the pup noticed raising in the distance, the air full of frantic caws and the clapping of a multitude of wings. A rusty earthen figure soon raced beneith the cloud of black, his ember eyes burning as he raced forward. These lands were a new detour for him but the crows knew the roads best- the other paths were no doubt hindered by mounds of snow or the storm itself. Either way he continued on, the snow being kicked up in white flufs behind his racing form, clouds exploding from his maw and nose as he panted, taking heavy gulps to keep on his paws.

Dagi

The purple pup's ears strained forward to locate a distant sound. It was a new sounds like everything else but it was coming closer quickly. Before he knew it an enornous black cloud was fly towards him. He had no idea what this was but his nature wasn't about to let him run away from it with his tail between his legs. The fur on his back bristled up as the sounds of paws running toward him join the calls of the black cloud. A low growl rose to his throat before he started barking as fiercely as a young pup could. His amber eyes narrowed as he turned his course and headed right in the direction that the looming cloud was coming from.

Thalion
Feanaro looked ahead- noticing a waddeling ball of black against the pure white of the snow. It was barking to him- almost as if it were going to attack him. He almost wanted to laugh at this but managed to choke it down with his panting, slowing himself down into an easy walk to let the little one approach at his pace. The crows above circled, some branching out to land in the naked fingers of the trees and rest their wings for the time-being. Suuru circled lower than the others, eyeing the new pup carefully with narrowed eyes. The man-pup spoke again, no doubt in question as to why they were slowling. There was no understandable answer that Feanaro could give the boy so he simply pressed on in silence.

Dagi
Keefe's yapping stopped abruptly as the form slowed. It was a monster! Simply something he had never seen. The bottom looked like a wolf alright but there was a parasite of sorts on the animals back. It was pretty ugly too... Pretty bald and long. The purple pup slowed and gazed at the sight with a hint of fear but more curiosty; there was no turning back now. He came near the beast hackled bared and head low. He was still trying to figure out what it was... A chimera of sorts. He decided to see if the wolf part of the beast could understand him. The cloud about him has disperssed into what were individual black birds. Keefe's day just kept getting stranger and stranger by the moment. His intense gaze settled on the brown wolf part,

"What are you?"

His question was outright and blunt but he had no patience for courtesy. Keefe didn't let his guard down just incase if the bald part had wanted to lunge at him or something... They didn't seem very closely bonded the wolf and this bald critter...

Thalion
Feanaro slowed to a stop in the snow, his large chest puffing in and out quickly as his lungs began the painful process of returning air to them- cold air to make it even more of a hassle but the wolf's face remained calm, his maw only slightly parted. As the pup approached he assessed the look in his eyes- the dark orbs moved from the crows to the two-leg, to him and back to the two-leg, finally coming to rest on him as he spoke. What was he? What did he look like? Perhaps he'd never seen an adult before- or a man pup. The second option was far more likely, "He won't understand you...", he said quietly, slowly glancing back to the two-legged who had his head tilted slightly to listen in to the wuufs, no doubt trying to assess the situation for himself, "Two-legs do not speak... as for me I am a wolf- same as yourself but much larger if that's your question... I don't think I need to explain my birds."

He took a step closer, eyeing this pup carefully, "You're a bit young.... to be out by yourself."

Dagi
Keefe's amber eyes blinked in slight confusion. His head titled to the side as the adult wolf spoke. He frowned again. Did this adult think he was stupid? of course he knew what an adult wolf was; it the the creature on his back that troubled him. He tiny paws shuffled closer to the dangling feet of the supposed 'two-leg'. Keefe sniffed at it carefully and took a bite of it to test it out. He quickly spit it out and backed off; no good. His eyes met those of the wolf's,

"That's a two-leg? I've never heard of that kind of beast... Are you planning to eat it later? keeping it alive to keep it fresh? It looks to stupid to be able to speak if you ask me..."

Keefe glanced the wolf over; he looked pretty worn; he had proably been traveling for a while.

"I didn't want to stay in the den any more.... But that dosen't matter; who are you?"

Thalion
Hinto whiriled his head around as another cold nose touched at his foot- then teeth. A shrill cry sprang from him and he nearly leapt from the wolf, gripping desperately to his scruff to alow a more gentle fall to the ground. Great- the cold wet again, no doubt it would soak into his clothes and make the mysterious trip all that more "fun". Where they were going and why he had no clue- all he could hope was that Lone Brave wasn't taking him back to his village- or the one accross the water. Surely not, the wolves feared man as men did them. The boy fingered over his foot, cursing under his breath. It hurt but thankfully there was no blood drawn from it. "Curious enough... little beast taking a chomp at me... how do you like that?"

Feanaro growled a bit of a warning to the pup, turning to make sure that he little man-pup was well after his fall. When the pup began speaking to himself he turned back to the new pup, his head turning slightly to inspect this little one. He smelt like other wolves, young ones like himself. Perhaps his pack was nearby, he'd not beein in this area berfore. "My name is Feanaro...", He rolled his shoulders, easing a crack out of both of them, "I'm taking the two-legged to others like himself so they can raise him properlly.... a lone wolf such as myself has no business even trying, it's too dangerous.

Dagi
Keefe hads gotten quite a bit of amusement from the strange noises that the two-leg made. He erupted into a string of deep giggles and then padded to the two-leg on the ground and sniffed at him; not wanting to bite again. His ears pressed back as the wolf growled at him; sure was protctive over his two-legs... Keefe couldn't care less for the fate of this beast whether it was to be brought back to its own pack or not was not his to worry about. He stood his ground near the boy and looked to Feanaro,

"Feanaro eh? Well I'm Keefe, son of the alphas of this land. Nice to mmet you and erm... the two leg... It have a name?"

Keefe went back to his inspection of the two-leg. He licked at at its face and grinned in a puppy way. Something was strange about this creature. It didn't seem to be able to see at all for it was pawing around the air like it was looking for something. Strange... Maybe they were all like that?

Thalion
"No name actually... not that I can understand and I never did get around to naming it...", He slowly seated himself, allowing his haunches a bit of a rest from the run, "It came with another- a female- and a pup of our kind. The pup claimed that they were wolves, just a different kind but I know better. I'd say he fancies himself a wolf. He tries speaking with me often, they seem to speak only with words but this one-unlike the female he was with- is blinded. That stick," he nodded towards the stick that the boy still had nessled in his armpit, "Is what he uses to find his way around, as you can imagine such a silly creature with no tools of fighting is worse off already, a blind one is surely one to die quickly... That's why I have him..."

Hinto laughed a bit, reaching up to feel at the pup. His fur was soft too but damp and cold, he must have been out in the snow for a good time. His hands gently moved to the wolf's head and began scratching behind its ears, it seemed that soft fur enjoyed that- perhaps this one would too, "Well if that's how you're saying that you're sorry for the bite then all's forgiven. Are you a friend to Lone Brave here? His child perhaps?" Maybe this was Lone's lands that he had taken him to... perhaps he had a mate and pups- or a pup. He couldn't hear any others around.

He chuckled a bit, watching the two-leg try to communicate with the pup, "He's a friendly one... I think he's trying to say that he likes you." He sank into a bit of thought while the two inspected eachother... the son of an alpha? He was right about his assumption of this being another pack's lands... one that he'd not met. The smell was new to him but had his terrible reputation spread this far too? Perhaps it was wise to move on- more for the sake of the two-leg than anything.

Dagi
Keefe grinned even more and mrrr'd; his hind leg twitching around randomly. Whatever this two-leg was it was a good thing and ok by him. He listened intently to Feanaro's story as he was scratched... It was a strange one and he had been right; the beast was blind and the fact that he used a stick to get around was even stranger. He also mentioned something about it being with a female. Keefe hadn't thought about it before but it was logical for there to be more of them... Animals don't just come as single beasts from the species or so he figured. But they sure as hell weren't wolves...
If Keefe wasn't going crazy he'd say that the scent of this two leg was familiar... Smelled somewhat like his father. Maybe his father knew where some of those two-legs were hiding... Maybe that's where Feanaro was taking this one! He licked at the boy's hand before looking to Feanaro with serious eyes. Keefe had never heard of this wolf he wasn't in trouble here but still he seemed worried.

"I suppose I like him too... Where did you say you were going again?"

Thalion
Feanaro shrugged slightly, his massive shoulders pushing up into the scruff of muscle around his neck to make him appear a bit chunky for a moment, "I'm not quite sure... I smelt two-legs by a dangerous packlands not too long ago. I'm hoping to find their scent again and track them so I can at least try to find it a home... I'm not sure that's even all that good of an idea." He sighed, turning his head to look at the boy. Having the pup leave he returned to gripping his stick and turning his head now and then to the sounds of the woods- a snow clump falling from the frail hands of the trees, a crow darting to a new perch, or a squirril scampering back into its hole to name a few of them. He was a curious one that he was... always snapping his head around at any sound that seemed suspicious.

"I just don't believe that his place is with me...", He'd not explain why... it was painful for him to even recal without explaining it for a stranger to understand.

Dagi
Keefe nodded and wagged his tail a few times. He supposed the male was right; the two-leg didn't belong amonst wolves... They shoudl stick to their own species... It was just ment to be that way. Dangerous packlands were they now? Keefe dismissed the thought; to think of more lands outside this one was quite crazy. He did long for adventure though; to not be cooped up in that den with his family would be a pleasant change for the better in his mind. His gaze trailed off as he pondered to watch the boy. He sure was attentive for a blind creature. Everthing seemed to catch his attention. Keefe couldn't blame him... If he had been blind he supposed he'd act the same... Possibly. The pup sat and looked longingly to the male; he'd kill to follow along with him but clearing that with his parents would never fly. Plus he'd die... He was weaned from his mother but this male wouldn't feed him; yet he longed to get away. His expression became quite perplexed,

"I wanna come too..."

Thalion
He starred at the pup for long, silent moments, his ember eyes studying the pup's face. He was young and sought adventure, sought after the "glorious" life of a lone wolf... silly fantisies and ideals glorified by stories told within pup groups and played out among their pack lands. Thoughts of being a hero saving the wood alone single-pawed and living in the wilds as a noble rouge... all no more value than a snort to the wind in Fea's mind. "Understand that if you come... you can't come back for a long time. If you return to this packland- with my scent especially- they'll see you as a trator...", His expression was stern but somehow demanding, "If you come you also cannot leave me... my scent on a pup is as good as a rodent under the eye of a swarm of falcons. My name is not a fond one among the woods... understand I live in the shadow of hate and fear- wherever I go I'm scorned and driven away... see my scars, notice that none but the black birds follow me. You'd be losing the life that you have here- and any friends that you have."

He didn't quite trust that the pup would want to leave all that, to leave and be forced into loyalty to only one wolf... even the conversation they had might be putting the pup into danger. Half of him wanted to take the pup with him but the logical side reminded him that no pup remained by his side long no matter what favors he gave to them,

"But do know this little one... if you come with me you will be taught the true ways of the wolf, the ways long forgotten by these woods and the wolves within them... you'll learn to trust the black wings, trust the hidden paths and move like a shadow between packlands with only a shadow of your scent to warn them that you passed right under their noses. That will be your only chance for survival... you'll have to learn and learn fast."

Dagi
Keefe kept his serious gaze on Feanaro.; He hadn't been totally serious in his question... Just joking around hypothetically; thinking that the older male would just laugh and run on his way. But he had offered to take Keefe along and this spun a new trail of thought for the pup. He wasn't sure if hw wanted to believe that fact that his family wouldn't want him back here if he took a breather from den life for a while. He'd come back and visit... He could right? Another thought came in; why was this wolf so hated? He seemed fine by Keefe's standards, noble, strong and independant.
His ears flattened back; this wasn't sounding too good but this wolf seemed alright; what was the worst that could happen? He took a look over his shoulder to the direction of his den. A look of sorrow came upon his maw as he looked on what his life had been to this point. It was quite thrilling; all this talk about learning the true way of doing things... These black wings as Feanaro called them; perhaps Keefe would grow to understand them with time. He hoped this journey wouldn't be too hard... Surely if he was to die the male'd bring his carcass back to his family,no? His gaze flicked and his head whipped back to Feanaro; his mind was set; he'd accompany the wolf and this two-leg to where ever they had to go.

"I'll come with you... If it's still ok; I can't promise I won't be a burden though but I guess I can try"

Thalion

Feanaro took a deep breath, following the pup's gaze behind him- it must be where his den was. It would be foolish to cart the pup off without some word of why. No doubt if his father was he alpha there'd be an entire pack out for his blood- that posed a threat to his mate, the two legs, and not to mention his own scarred up hide. He doubted from the beginning that the pup understood the true gravity of the situation, "Are you absolutely sure, pup? Perhaps you should speak with your pack on the matter... I've seen the body of a pup that was charged with trechery- one that I tried to take with me to my lands, one that paid dearly for it. I will not take you unles you realize just how dangerous this all will be for the both of us...and our little friend there." He nodded towards the man-pup, still busy with listening to the sounds around him.

Dagi
Keefe's amber gaze hardened; he was sure on his decision but worried about what Fea had said. He gulped; he was terrifyed about facing his father on this matter. Surely he wouldn't want his son to run off to hell knows where but what use ws Keefe to him now? Keefe winced as the wolf mentioned the dead pup; he sure didn't want to die early that's for sure. Maybe he should go talk this over with Notoka... But he was scared for the first time in his short life. What troubles this day had brought. He also felt bad for that poor boy... This was too much trouble for one tiny pup. He turned to his den but didn't budge. He was going to go with Fea... How it would sit with he father he didn't know but it would be best to talk it over with him.

Thalion
"Go speak with them...", He said quietly, moving himself slowly to the man-pup to curl himself around him. The cold wasn't going to do him any good in the least, the most he could do was provide the warmth of his body and fur, "I'll wait here for the decision. If they refuse to let you go then perhaps you will need to wait until you are old enough to leave on your own accord. I will welcome you either way but I have warned you of the dangers if we leave unannounced... both you and I will be hunted after by this pack and very likely by the others if they are tied in with this pack. The others will take nearly any reason to put an end to me... and I don't think any of us- my mate to be included- deserve to have to run for the rest of our lives." The man-pup curled himself into the fur, pulling himself into a small ball to keep himself warmer. Fea's head reasted on the arch of the boy's back to cover more of his exposed body, watching the black pup with patiant but demanding eyes, "Go now... Try not to linger."

Dagi

Keefe kneaded the meltling snow beneath his paws for a second; caught in a trance as he looked toward the den. His head snapped back to look at Fea he spoke. He frowned; not really wanting to wait until he was older. Fea would probably forget about him by then. He gave the wolf a silent nod as he started moving; he'd try to be quick. Keefe started in an easy trot; thoughts racing in his young head. Leaving home sholdn't be this hard! He frowned; not liking this having to chose between life or death thing. His trot grew faster as he neared the familiar smelling den in which he had spent the first month or so of his life. The purple pup slowed to a walk and stuck his nose into the den; sniffing about for his father. After establishing his presence Keefe snuck in and sat silently before his sleeping father. It was a good five or ten minutes that he sat there with an intent gaze on the slumbering Notoka before he had the courage to speak up,

"Dad... I need to talk to ya; it's really important"

A Pack of Two Pups

pinkdog
Nafeeza raised her head in surprise at Keefe's reply, tail wagging uncertainly at first and then strongly. She could be useful! Renewed confidence surged within her, determined to prove her worth to the pretty purple male.

"You can help! It will be easier with two of us."

With a little bounce in her step, despite the hunger, Nafeeza sniffed the ground for the smell of small mammals and told Keefe about her plan. The key was to catch them between the trees, she began...

Dagi
Keefe looked down to the muddy ground solemnly; his muddy paws now digging in pretty deep into the moist ground. He took in a deep sigh as his amber eyes zipped back up to Naf full of interest in her plan. It was a good one he thought. Specially since he couldn't have thought of a better one himself that is. The purple pup took Naf's example and stuck his snout to the ground; sniffing around for any trace of the rodents. As Keefe sniffed he wondered how squirrels tasted... He hoped they'd be good at least a little bit. His head and ears perked up at every sound that he could pick up from the tree tops but quickly dropped back down when nothing happened... were squirrels hard to catch anyways?

pinkdog
Nafeeza sniffed about, eyes over the ground, watching for movement. She saw something skittering about out of the corner of her eye and looked in time to see a squirrel racing up the tree, literally for it's life. A small object fell, rolling down the trunk and bouncing onto the ground. The squiirel stayed in the tree, looking suspicious, nose and feet twitching as he apparently tried to decide if the nut was worth it. Tail flicking in a wave, it raced down the tree and back up again, the acorn tucked into it's mouth in a greedy manner.

Knowing that the squirrel was a lost cause, Nafee looked around for more potetial prey. A black bird glided into a nearby tree and disappeared into the leaves, but no other movement caught her attention.

Glancing back at Keefe to see if he had had better luck, Nafee trotted down a little ways to a new patch of trees. She was pleased with placement of these trees, a good amount of distance seperating each one, and again waited for her opportunity. It came at last as a squirrel darted too far out and couldn't reach is destination in time. It paused in between to make a quick decision but was not quick enough. The tan pup was on it in an instant, managing to rip off it's front leg before it's struggle began to fade.

She caught three squirrels that way, waiting for one to make the fatal mistake to dive between the trees and pounced them. Dropping the last one on her small pile, she looked up to see how Keefe was doing.

pinkdog
Keefe snorted his way around the wooded area as well; keeping a good eye on Nafee the whole time. He to had heard the squirrel scramble up the tree so he stood there and looked up at it in wonder. How'd they stay up there? Weird.... He planned to look at it some more but there was a loud stirr behind him and he whipped around to see that Naf had already caught a squirrel. The dark pup hung his head in shame and trotted to the spot. A squirrel zipped by him and he went for it but there was no luck there. He slipped on the mud and ended up belly flat on the ground. He grumbled and stood up; carefully shaking the mud off of his pelt.

He sighed in a dissapointed manner. Before he could start beating himself up for his lack in skill Nafee had caught another two squirrels. He looked to her with wide eyes and whined a bit in pity for himself. With a sigh Keefe trotted to her and nodded,

"You're officially the hunter of the group Nafeeza..."
pinkdog
Nafeeza grinned happily and nudged her pile at him, "I'm glad I am of some use. Here, help yourself."

She turned, trotting back to the triangle trees to catch more squirrels. She wished she could catch something more useful, like rabbits, rather than the squirrels, still skinny from winter.

She came back a while later with only two squirrels this time, dropping them near Keefe and settling down to eat. "I swear, they learn faster than I do!"

Dagi
Keefe smiled kindly at Naf before gently taking the limp squirrel into his maw and watching her trot off; he gave her a nod of thanks and latched onto the leg of the rodent. He shook his head back and forth sharply; resulting in the tearing off of that limb. He licked his chops before swallowing the meat after giving it a good chew. He finished the rest of his squirrel in this manner. He looked over the two new kills that Naf brought him. Two for him and three for Naf; that would work just fine seeing as how she caught them. Fair's fair when it's needed. He licked his jowls all the way around before picking up another squirrel and nudging the others on the ground toward Nafeeza with his nose. He gave her a sympathetic gaze and laid down; holding his squirrel between his fore-paws and chewed away at it thoughtfully.

pinkdog
Nafeeza looked at the kills he nudged toward her and shook her maw gently with a tenative smile, one of the two newly killed squirrels already between her paws.

"No, those were for you, Keefe. I don't eat much. I rather you have your strength."

Without further comment, he dug into the squirrel, ripping through the skin on it's belly and tearing the slab of useless fat away to reveal the meat beneath. They may not have been much but the food felt wonderful sliding over her tongue.

Dagi
A kind look came to Keefe's eyes and he looked to Nafeeza for a few seconds before looking to the squirrels infront of them. He felt awful bad for taking more of something that she had caught but to make her happy he took the extra squirrel and left her with the one she had and one more dead one just waiting to be eaten. Keefe quickly moved to his thrid squirrel; he was eating through these things faster than... Faster than something fast anyways. Halfway through his next squirrel he broke the silence,

"Thanks for that Nafee, glad to have met ya"

He truly was glad for their meeting. He would have starved by now... Or would have been extremely lonely even though he wouldn't have minded that all too much.

pinkdog
Nafee beamed to herself, proud that she had done something worthwhile. It caused her no little pride that she could do something the pretty male could not but she did her best to contain it. She could tell Keefe didn't like her bubbly outbursts; she wanted to be a good companions for him, lest he make her leave. Then again, if she'd been a pack wolf like him, she may never had learned to hunt.

"You too, Keefe." She grinned and chewed on her second squirrel. She spoke again as she pulled on the leg of the critter with her teeth, "I lihk yuuh. Srrious n' 'll".

Naf hopes Keefe's friends wouldn't mind that she'd tagged along when they finally met up. Maybe if she and Keefe made good friends, they'd let her come along to the straight two-footer place Keefe had talked about.

Dagi
Keefe sighed and nudged the remains of his eaten squirrels to the side; glancing to Naf everyone in a while. He smiled in a tired manner as she spoke and searched his brain for some way to describe her personality. There seemed to be a lack of words for it in his dictionary,

"Well Naf, I like you... The way you are"

He looked away from her quickly; a grin still lingering on his maw. His amber eyes gazed around; pondering if they should proceed or not. He decided against it for it seemed to be getting late. His eyes shifted back down to Nafee as he stood up and walked a circle around her,

"We need to find a place to sleep in for the night I suppose... Won't do us any good traveling all night..."

pinkdog
Naf continued to chew happily, unhurried. She was still working on her second squirrel, lingering over the bones as Keefe stood and began cirlcing her. She watched him and said nothing, content with whatever he decided.

Dagi
His ever searching eyes glanced around over and over again as he stood near Naf as she ate. He sighed; not finding all too much to his liking. A cave would have been nice but the only suitable thing now seemed to be the trunk of an old and hollow tree. He trotted to it and stuck his nose it; testing it to see if there was anything else in there. With a grin her looked back up and yipped to Nafee; signaling for her to come over; they'd sleep here tonight. He crawled in carefully; letting his eyes adjust to the darkness and then curled up into a little ball in the coner; letting Naf take the rest of the space in the small trunk. Whether she was in already Keefe didn't know for his eyes were closed but he decided to say goodnight anyways,

"Good night Nafeeza... I suppose we have a long way ahead of us; get some rest"

Dagi
As the day slowly started anew; the dark purple pup manuvered his way around the sleeping Nafeeza and crept quietly out of the tree trunk. He yawned and stretched his stiff muscles; looking about intently. Nothing had changed overnight other than the dissapearance of the squirrel remainders. Some scavenger must have found it during the night and slinked off with the leftovers. Another lazy yawn escaped his maw as he turned back to the trunk and stuck his muzzle in; nudging Naf to wake her.

"I think we should get going soon..."

pinkdog
Naf blinked slowly, focusing on the wet nose that prodded her out of sleep,

"But I'm comfortably.." she whimpered, pulling slowly to her feet even as she resisted. She yawned and stepped out of the trunk, her butt sticking up in the air as she stretched. "Which way we goin'?.." She asked sleepily, licking her tongue over to mouth. She wondered if they were close, sticking her nose into the air for a taste. Nothing smelled unusual.

Dagi
Keefe gave Naf a sympathetic look before backing away and letting her get out; his amber gaze scanning the area for any clues of where to go. He gave a light shrug to her question; he only wished he knew. With a light and rathered worried sigh the purple pup padded forward a bit; nose twitching in trying to pick up new smells. Suddenly his ears perked to pick up a nearing sound. It was the sound of a crow... A crow like the brown male had.... His spirits lightened and he looked back to Naf,

"Hear that? It's a crow, that male had like... A million crows with him; maybe this one knows where to go"

Thalion
Suuru took wing again, flying closer to where the pups were. The black one had taken notice of him thankfully. Neither seemed to be showing signs of aggression or fear- he assumed it was safe to approach them. His wings cupped and he allwed himself a few feet between him and the two pups before landing in the snow- his black body making a fabulous contrast to the white snow around him. Golden eyes rose up to meet the eyes of the pup as the crow turned his head to aknowlage them both. A soft caw of greeting was all the crow could really offer in way of speech.

pinkdog
Naf heard the crow and wondered why a wolf would keep a millions birds about him for anything other than a quick meal. She thought of this again when the crow landed in front of them, but resisted the urge to pounce on top of him. She was still half a sleep anyway.

She stepped closer to Keefe, asking quietly "Uh, Keefe, is he talking to us?" The idea seemed rather absurd since it was only bird. Everyone knew birds were too stupid to talk. "What's he want?"

Dagi
Keefe's eyes went wide as the crow fluttered down near the pair. He sure hadn't expecteed that! His nose twitched furiously as he sniffed at the crow. Familiar smelling it was but still Keefe was wary. He shrugged absent mindedly at Naf's question,

"I suppose so.... I'm not sure what he wants though...."

He'd never seen a crow up this close before and it was quite an unnerving experience for a pup so young.
Thalion
Hmm... I had hoped that the pup would reconize me., Suuru turned his head thoughtfully, picking at his brain for any possible ways to explain to the pup his intent. His master was back in the south lands with his mate- and rightfully so for the both of them. He'd never seen a grown wolf act like such a blissful pup before as he had when his master had been reunited with his mate. To pull him away from her so soon to return to these hellish lands was unfair.

With a crow's sigh he lowered his beak to the snow and began drawing out the form of a wolf once again- the second time that day but it seemed to work well enough with the older wolf. It wasn't exactally the best but it was reconizably a wolf. Dotting his beak in the snow he created "crows" around the wolf. Suuru hopped back and drew a long arrow pointing southwards then stood in the path of the arrow, shaking his head off in a hope to remove the cold powder from his nares.
Dagi
Keefe took a few baby steps closer to the crow; gawking at it curiously as it hopped and cawed about. His head titled to the side in confusion as the crow started to draw something in the snow. It kinda... kinda looked like a wolf. He squinted and nodded his head for Naf to come closer,

"Look at this..."

Amber eyes gazed over the drawing of the crow... The scene was familiar... Then it hit him and he gave a yip in pride,

"I got it! Look there; it's a picture of the wolf I met; see all the crow? Maybe this crow knows where he is!"

There was an excited tone to his usual dull voice as he grinned at Naf happily; maybe they wouldn't be so lost anymore.

pinkdog
Nafeeza's tail wagged back and forth happily, her body jerking right left right left. She tongue rolled out of her mouth in open mouth grin as she sat back on the ground, tosses her snout into the air and gave a howl.

Bringing herself back to her feet, she looked again at the drawing, following the line of the arrows, she yipped,

"It looks like he wants us to go south..what are we sitting around for, lets go!"

Dagi
Keefe grinned and wagged his tail furiously; Naf was sure smart... And correct at guessing what the crow wanted it seemed. He watched her howl and then lifted his own maw and let out a low howl of his own. He was getting better at this howling thing. He flashed a smile and a nod at Naf and then looked back to the crow,

"South? Is he there?"

By he Keefe had meant Fea of course but he supposed that the crow would catch on quickly enough. Keefe hopped as step back in his excitement and smiled in a cute puppy way.
Thalion
Suuru cawed again, turning himself about and springing into the air. His feet cupped beneith his body as his wings powered himself back into the air. Turning over his shoulder he let out another caw- surely the pups had figured his intent out and would follow him but he wanted to be sure. Turning back he began towards the south. It was a long road indeed and for pups it might be a bit longer. They'd have to pass enemy wolf territory but he'd be sure to keep them from danger. The other crows in the area would surely lend their eyes and voices to them if the occasion for their services arose. Bless you clever pups., he smiled to himself, easily flying at a decent enough pace forward.

pinkdog
Nafeeza watched the bird head south and started to do the same, glancing over at Keefe. She couldn't help but feel a little nervous, meeting a new wolf. What kind of wolf keeps crows with him? Was he a shaman of some sort? Why did he keep the two-legger with him? Was he a pet? What was a two legger? Did they really taste bad or did they really taste good? Would they like her? She hoped they'd like her, even if Keefe hadn't warmed to her at first. Would they like her?

"So ya think that means we're close?" She looked back at her companion, her pawsteps had quickened with eagerness, nearly running.

Thalion
Suuru turned his head over a wing to watch the pups, circleing himself around when he felt that he had flown too far ahead for the young pups. He remained within sight at all times but his encounters with the other wolves had given him a healthy respect for wolves and their maws. He kept a good distance from the ground and was constantly mindful of anything that seemed to be rushing up at him- smaller birds and the like. The local crows watched them from their perches in the trees. Now and then another crow would join Suuru and share the newest news of the wood- the movement of wolves, bears, and two-leggeds mostly. Nothing terribly shocking but it was something that kept crows alive. It was very rare to encounter a crow that wasn't terribly aware of the events of the area. Being scavengers the creatures flew for miles circeling and would obviously see much during that flight.

Dagi
Keefe nodded his head solemnly and took off after Naf and the crow. Most of the time he kept his sights up at the flying crow; he wasn't in much of a mood to get lost in some strange place. THe purple pup issued a small shrug at Nafeeza's question,

"Maybe... At least I hope so"

Every so often another crow joined them and Keefe titled his head as he walked slowly and gazed upward. Why would two crows fly together if they obviously weren't in a flock of some sort. Crows couldn't talk... Surely they weren't smart enough to. He glanced to Naf for a moment and sighed,

"I sure hope we get there alright...."

pinkdog
Her tongue hung partially out of her mouth as she ran, her strides long but easy. It was all one big adventure to her, a game, and she was not worried in the least. Danger in the woods past getting stepped on by a bear didn't occur to her just then; she definately never thought about the fact that they might be trotting over some wolf's territory. Naf grinned over at him confidently,

"I'm sure we will Keefe. Don't worry so much."

She noticed he was keeping his eyes to the sky and turned her head up the follow his gaze. The crow they had been talking too was still there but she too thought it odd that there would be more than one. Maybe it had something to do with windcurrents..

Dagi
Keefe sighed as he lost his interest with looking at the crows above. His head now turned to Nafeeza. She seemed thoughtful as always. Once again Keefe wished he could see what she was thinking cuz he sure as heck never thought any interesting thoughts. He smiled lightly at her comment,

"Sorry... Can't help it"

He frowned; was he really such a worry-wart too? With a shake of his head the purple pup looked forward as the walked on; wishing he had the confidence and easy going personality that Naf did.
pinkdog
Nafee thought Keefe looked rather depressed or sad. She hoped she hadn't been the cause of that somehow. Glancing back at the sky and then the ground in front of her, she spoke again to fill the silence and ease her mind,

"So.. do you know where we are? Are we still on your da's land?"

For whatever reason, Naf assumed that because his father "owned" the territory, Keefe would know all the parts of it. She assumed that he had taken advantage of so much free land, as she would've, to explore it every chance he got. That was what she had been doing and she didn't even realize the land "belonged" to somebody else.
Dagi
Keefe blinked and thought on Naf's question in silence for a few minutes and then responded with a weary shake of his head. He sniffed about to confirm his suspicions and looked to Nafee with a grim smile,

"No, my dad's territory ended a while back.... I have no idea where we are"

The only Keefe could tell who the land belonged to was the scent; even though he had never been around anywhere before. New scents were flowing by them; unfamiliar ones and strange ones. This spooked Keefe a bit to say the least. He had dragged Naf out here with him so he supposed it was his job to look out for her. A job that was particularly hard in foreign lands. He frowned; the thought of something happening to his new friend gnawing away at his mind,

"Stay by me all the time ok?"

pinkdog
Nafeeza could tell by his tone that things were not right and her pace slowed slightly to trot a little closer to him. She gave him a strange look, wondering if she should be worried. She had never been here before but she hadn't been a lot of place; the smells were always new and different. She looked ahead as if the trees, shrubs, and slush would tell her the answer before glancing back at Keefe again. Maybe his nervousness wasn't such a bad thing after all.

Dagi
Keefe nodded in confrimation as Naf walked closer to him. If he could keep a steady eye on her he'd be fine. With a tired sigh the pup glanced back up to the sky; squinting slightly to make sure that their avian guide was still around which it was. He grumbled quietly to himself; there were so many things to worry about when one was out on their own... He wished he mom or dad could be there to do it all for him as they had done in the past. He took another glance at Naf before speaking up in a whisper; not wanting to alert anything that could be lurking in these strange woods to their presence.

"I wonder where he's leading us.. I've never seen the south; heck I don't know where it is even"

pinkdog
The smaller tan wolf smiled over at him and then looked ahead in the direction they headed. She wasn't really worried, besides the vibes she was getting from Keefe. She had yet to be threatened by anything in these or any woods she'd been in yet. Except bears, she reminded herself, always mindful of the huge beasts.

"I'm not worried, Keefe. We have each other." They were a two wolf pack, she imagined to herself dreamily. What could stop a pack?

Dagi
Keefe smiled lightly as he took another careful look around. He was glad to have stumbled upon Naf; her confidence and good nature just radiatedand it made him feel much better about being a strange place such as one like this.

"Yeah, you're right; a pack has to be strong I suppose."

The purple pup sighed; he was always supposing; never really sure on anything really. His mind wasn't really on bears but on other wolves; how would they take to a strange couple of pups on their land? Would they even care? So many worries were on his mind. He wondered how long they had been traveling; couldn't have been more than a few hours,

"I hope it's not too far away..."

Thalion

Suuru flew on for quite some time- always keeping himself within sight of the pups and the pups within his sight. Now and then he'd climb higher into the air to get a good look around- they were right on course and thankfull he could see no signs of danger anywhere. It was winter afterall. Bear were sleeping soundly in their dens, wolves weren't hunting as much, and anything else was probibly in the warmer lands. After insuring that they were indeed safe the crow would drift back down and continue on with his flight forward.

They were a good distance still from the southern lands. He was making sure to detour them from the lands of other packs to keep them all safe. Suuru- though a 'mere bird' was still considered an enemy of many wolves. The pups no doubt wouldn't be excluded from that little catigory if found traveling with him. They had a river to cross up ahead. This would be fun. Suuru cawed and flew up higher again, looking this way and that. There was a fallen log leaning aganst a pile of built up debris from the storm that had built up along a rock's side. A grown wolf would cause it all to crumble but perhaps a pair of pups could cross it?

With another caw he sailed down and ahead to the river, landing himself on the rotten log. There he began cawing, bobbing himself up and down.

Dagi
Keefe glanced about the dark forest nervously as they walked; having no idea that they were safe. The thought of bears and other wolves attacking them still lurked in his mind and caused him to worry quite a bit. He tried his hardest to not show it; he wanted Naf to think he was brave and all. He sighed; still thinking of the worst when suddenly the caw of a crow from up above distracted his thinking and sent his amber gaze upwards. The puprle pup squinted to barely make out the dark speck of a crow that flew high ahead,

"Hey Naf, I think our crow found something..."

He looked to her and grinned; pace speeding up significantly. Perhaps they were almost out of the forest... In fact Keefe was almost sure that they were. After a few mintues of this quickened pace Keefe burst happily out of the woods and slowed to a halt near the rushing river. His tounge hung out as he panted; taking a short rest from the journey so far. His eyes looked to where the crow sat: upon a rotten old log. Keefe gulped as he went over to it; placing a paw on the wood to test it. He quickly backed up as he saw how spongey it was; definitely not too safe for crossing. That crazy bird wanted them to cross that?
pinkdog
Nafeeza came up alongside Keefe, eyeing the log and thinking the same thing. She lifted a paw and tested her weight on it. She jumped up and climbed half onto it, curiously shifting. She looked unsure and glanced back at her companion.

"Think it's safe?"

Keefe's been through a lot but I don't feel like updating too much, here's the gist of it.

After being on the move with Nafeeza for a good period of time; the two were finally led to Feanaro by the masked wolf's lead crow Suuru. The way there was tough but the two made it through and now they are the betas in Fea's pack. Keefe has just gone on a hunt with Feanaro and brought down a young deer all by himself and he couldn't be prouder.

A short description on what was A LOT of RP biggrin Gotta love it xD

Keefe has at long last grown into an ever gallant adult. He holds the beta position in Feanaro's pack. Not too long ago he had learned to hunt from Feanaro and had taken down a deer all on his own. Keefe also made a trip to the freelands where he had a few experiences with other wolves, he wasn't all too popular out there. He heard about his brother while speaking with a female named Talia, he wonders how his family is faring and that perhaps he should go for a visit.
