I know about it. I would love to learn how biggrin i love snakes heart even if my mom wont let me have one because she is scared of them..... crying

i have seen it but sometimes i worry about the snake. i saw the belly twins dance with them once. One of them had the snake around her waist while she shimmied. All i could think of was, poor snake might have a headache later.

i don't suggest dancing with snakes. their super sensitive.
that and my love for snakes is so sacred that i don't want to disrespect them in any way. almost like taming elephants at the zoo to put on a show. not what they do in the wild.

Lena's SUPER respectful of her snakes.
If you watch her videos you'll notice she never does any fast movements while working with the animals, and she keeps in mind where they're moving to at all times. I've never seen her put the snakes anyplace but her arms, ever. Basicly, she holds them, and lets them crawl along her arms as they please while most of the dance is done with the hips.
She also cancels snake-dances when they're shedding, or under any condition that might be harmful to the animals.
Her "babies" also travel in a heated basket, kept nice and warm, and cozy before and after the dance.
They're very spoiled, and very well worked with. She holds them from the time they're tiny, so they're very friendly and used to being handled.
She's only ever been bitten once during a dance, and the snake was promptly removed and put back into it's basket as to not be upset any further.

Thats good to know. but the only time i'd used snakes to dance is a super slow song.
Its cool to watch but its just a personal preference. I'd take good care of my babies too. and to make it even more of a special occasion i'd only do a snake dance once in a blue moon

Lena only pulls Kah and Cleo out about 3 times a year.
Why anyone would put a snake around their hips and shimmy is beyond me...poor snakey...that's like asking for a bite.

SPEAKING of such, i was watching Whose Line Is It Anyway? and geuss who was geust.
Neena and Veena. and geuss who they had on their bodies...snakes. one was around the waist and the other was around the neck. (each had one)
i cried for the snakes.

your telling me! and the one snake looked like he wanted to get away from her cuz she kept doing a lot of hip movement. he was still coiled but he streacted away from her like he was on a glass cofee table.
