The evening was crisp from the rains that had fallen most the afternoon. Wet grass clung to a strange stallion's legs as he wandered the edges of the cimarron herd boundries. Ears laying somewhat back against his skull, the rust colored stallion didn't seem to mind being out alone. He had been alone since he was a little, but sometimes being alone was quite lonely. Turning towards the now clearing skies, he watched as the light blue sky rapidly changing to the colors of sunset.
"Ano'her day 'one. Ano'her day 'o 'o('to go', so you know. xD)." He frowned before looking back to the darkness that seemed to hold many dangers within their shadows.

With a snort, she shook her dark mane as the blue dappled mare had seemingly not found a dry place to hide out the burst of showers that had taken over the land.
Herdless, she had no one to depend on but herself. She did her best not to let the fact that an old injury had made of one her back legs slightly shorter than the other, the muscles always to tight and healed inproperly for it to ever be right again.
She made her way out of the darkening forest, mane wet and clinging to everything it could.

An ear flicked itself forwards as he didn't seem all that bothered by the fact that his short mane laying in places. Something was moving out there, out past the bounds that he was used to. Glancing back over his own beaded shoulder, Wanderer noted that he was well away from the normal grazing grounds. All the better he thought, moving from his normal path, he headed tiwards the out laying trees. Something was out there walking around in the dampness of the trees. Picking his way thought the undergrowth.
"Allo?" He called, hoping this creature was friend rather then foe. "You f'iend? Or Foe?" Though he was going to be quite blunt and rightly ask and had a feeling that he had just signed himself a death warrent... Not that it mattered to him, he had escaped death once. He felt he could again...

Her ears pricked at the sound of a voice, definately male. Nose flaring out as she sensed the air, it didn't smell as if she'd just crossed onto someones lands, but then again she may have missed the markers of it already.
"Friend.." She replied, she hoped she wasn't lying, or being lead into a trap of some sort. Her hind leg ached slightly, the rain made the land muddy which made it a bit harder to move across, and she'd been on the move almost all day.

Both ears perked up this time, there was certainly someone out there, someone whom had endured the rain like he had. He hadn't really the proper shelter when the rains had come, the herd had probably moved the younger ones and the elderly into shelter while the stronger ones endured. But Wanderer have been away from his herd all this time before anything had happened. Short tail twitching some behind him, Wanderer came to about where he thought he had heard the voice coming from, but at first didn't see anything, the sky over head was dark and the trees weren't helping.
"'Tis good to he'e." He answered, his speech being a bit broken up. "'hough I have 'o wonder why someone else woul' be ou' here af'er all tha' rain." Tilting his head to the side a little, bright green eyes watched the area around him, still not quite seeing the dark colored mare that could have been just before him.

She watched as the stallion walked right past her, a brow arched as she stepped out, now she stood behind him she tilted her head slightly.
"Was out here during the rain, why wouldn't I continue to be out here after it? Couldnt find, nor got to shelter in time before so, the rain and I had a pleasant little visit." She said softly as she watched him.

Wandered had the feeling that he had missed something and with the feeling of eyes on his back, he knew it was true. Turning around, he wished he could have seen more clearer in the dark, it would have made things soo much easier then they were right now. Shaking over his short mane a small tuft falling across his eyes. He would have to get it clipped sometime...
"I see." He said nodding, closing his eyes now, not wanting to really strain his eyes looking through the darkness. "'he rain 'oes have some s'range ways of showing i's 'ime for wa'er." Completely jumbled, course. It seemed that his scars and past didn't help matters in the least. "Bu' you can come ou' in'o the open is you like. My herd lands are jus' over 'here" He gestured towards where he had come from and where it was thinking of going to head once again. He hated the trees, for more personal reasons, but ventured into them when he had to. "'hat is, if you like. No' like I can force you 'o come, Course."
