Which is your favorite dalek story. Personally I prefer Genesis. Seeing their origin was very facinating to me.
Sorry about the lack of the other stories in the poll, not enough room.

Bad wolf and Parting of the Ways was awesome, but Dalek was the one that showed people the Daleks are to taken seriously.

My favorite would have to be Genesis, even though the story might have been more exciting if they cut out some padding and made it a 4-parter. Lots of good acting. Plus another "Harry Sullivan is an imbecile" moment when he gets his foot stuck in a giant clam. Poor Harry. cry

Crazy Anarchist I like Genesis of the Daleks but also i rather liked Destiny of the Daleks Wasn't Destiny the one where the Daleks are fighting a bunch of androids that look like they just came out of a disco? My favorite bit from that story... when the Doctor sticks his hand in some hole, pulls out some pink slime, and calls it a mutated Kaled. lol

0_o They did that? Oooo interesting.. lol truthfully I can't remember the song "ticket to ride" being played due to the episode last being played a couple of years ago so all I can really remember is "look dalek! *scream* Run away" etc... lol... but why do they replace the songs when they're released on DVD? And where abouts in remembrance did they do that? In the cafe or something?

And where abouts in remembrance did they do that? In the cafe or something? IIRC, in the Chase they actually showed a short clip of the Fab Four performing the song on some weird TV in the TARDIS. Your memory should be better than mine, I haven't seen it in over 10 years! I distinctly remember it, though, because the Beatles were my favorite band at the time. In Remembrance there were two songs that had to be replaced in the R1 DVD release (I'm not sure if this also applies to the DVDs in other countries): McCartney's crooning on "A Taste of Honey" and Harrison's nasally "Do You Want to Know a Secret". The VHS release still has the original songs. The reason they had to be replaced (not only for Dr. Who, but several other DVDs as well) is because when the studio originally paid to use the songs for the TV broadcast, the contract also covered its use for VHS, but NOT DVD (bear in mind that the show originally aired prior to the DVD era). Thus, to use the songs on DVD, they'd have to pay to secure the rights again. Newer movies/TV shows don't have this problem, as the contracts are now written so that DVD releases are also included.

Hah yes I do remember that now... my memory just needed a little nudge in the right direction that's all ^^ and oh I see it comes down to money eh? Bah! The contracts should have just automatically rolled over to DVD's as well considering they didn't know they were going to be invented... then maybe we could get out hands on the episodes a little sooner since they woldn't have to fiddle about with them and change the music etc..
