Peremende woke up contented. She stood and stretched her front legs to their full length; pleasantly smiling, squinted eyes. It had been ages since Mende had woken up from such a satisfying nap and she could not thank the gods enough for it.
For a moment, she recalled the dream she'd been having just moments ago. It was a pleasant one, though more of a replaying of a memory than just a dream. A child again, with her brother, Pembe... She had not seen hide nor hair of him for quite some time now, but it did not bother her much.
Rejuvenated, she took her first sauntering steps out into the blistering sun and waving savanna grasses to see what the day beheld her.

Shangwe moved over his home with a smile on his face. It had been the first time he truly felt like an adult. Amazing, really, considering how many nights he had stayed up wishing to be old enough to be completely on his own. And even after he had found his own place he had never felt totally free. He had still been growing, still getting that deep brown mane in one day at a time. But now things were good- his body was reaching its peak and he no longer needed to fall back on his beloved parents for a whole lot.
He was, in every way, an adult.
Oh God, what was he supposed to do with himself?
As a sense of dread suddenly started to consume him, the large lion found his eyes wandering over to another pride lander- a female he wasn’t sure he had ever met before. She was pale and bright, quite unlike the members of his family. Moving over to her, he offered a grin. “Hello there!” he hummed, “I didn’t think anyone else would be up so early.”

Startled, Peremende looked towards the source of a noise, her dream tossed aside. She had expected something small and unimportant. However, she was definitely incorrect with the assumption of something small, but unimportant was still an option. She looked the lion up and down and figured that this would be a good way to start the day. Either way, it was always nice to meet and entertain a good boy.
"Hello to you, too," she said with a coy smile. Peremende didn't conform to any sort of sleeping schedule so she slept when she wanted to and woke up when she felt like it. "Oh its not that early... is it?"
