(OOC: I changed the name so it sounds a little better I hope)
"Hitsugaya-sama!" A young girl with long golden hair who looks to be about age 17 was chasing after the 10th Squad Division captain. "Misuzu, stop that." He turned around to face her. "It's Hitsugaya-taicho." She smiled. "I hold you in the highest respect and admiration, Taicho. You know that. Which is why I wanted you to be the first to hear this. I have attained bankai! I wanted to show you, well, when I can control it a bit better. But... I can't seem to control it. Actually, I'm a bit scared of it." "Being scared of your own bankai? Baka, what's there to be scared of?" Hikari just smiled. She wanted to say that there was a lot to be frightened of, but as much as she admired Hitsugaya, she couldn't say it. She just wasn't that close to many people. She owed him her life, true, but it was just too unsettling for her to say. Instead, she clasped her hands together in front of her chest. "Okay, what's wrong?" Hitsugaya said, crossing his arms and narrowing his eyes at her. "U-um... nothing, Taicho. I-I promise I will learn to control my bankai so I can show you! I want to show you, so you can be glad that you saved me." "I don't regret saving you, Misuzu," the captain said. "I know, but... I'm in your debt. I always will be, Hitsugaya-sama. I want to work hard so that someday, I might even be able to be of use to you, and help you," she said softly. "Anyway, I'm going to go. I have paperwork to fill out." "What about showing me that bankai? Don't you want to have a captain witness it as proof you attained it?" "I can't really do it now... When I do show it to you, please promise you won't say anything?" Hikari begged. "I won't be able to handle the responsibilities of being a full-fledge captain." "...Fine." Hitsugaya answered. "Thank you! I'm off!" Hikari said brightly with a wave. She rushed away from him, and as soon as she was far enough away, her bright smile faded. Yes, Hikari was afraid. She was in the beginning stages of attaining her bankai, and she realized that she could resonate with the spirit energy of everyone near her. She could actually feel them. All that power. Deadly, frightening. And she didn't like it. "I'm a healer, not a destroyer," she said to herself sadly. She glanced around her, hands still clasped tightly together over her chest. She knew where to go and who to talk to. She was headed for Squad 11's Division, to see her childhood friend.

Tsurabisu stood in the center of squad 11's dojo with a bokken held tightly in each of his hands. Around him stood more than half a dozen of his squad mates, weapons at the ready. No Zanpakuto. No special abilities. As close as a fair fight as they could do against him. Tsu couldn't help but smirk even as the first several began their attacks. A dip here and a side step there put him out of range of their attacks. More slashes and jabs flew his way, but he just made a small change in his stance every time a wooden blade came his way and all his opponents could tag was the air around him. True, the blades were falling very close to the mark, but that was how he liked it. It gave them hope. It would make them risk themselves just for that chance to hit something solid. There was a point in every fight where it happened. That now or never moment where it was kill or be killed. Unfortunately for those men slashing at him, Tsurabisu knew when that was. Without warning, Tsu began lashing out with his weapons, scoring hits on the wrists and arms of several that had come just a little too close to him. An instant later, his blades connected with the stomach of another. A step forward and a duck under a slash got him in a great position to bruise a rib...or three. Several slashes later and he was facing just one more opponent. 'Poor kid... He's been here in the squad longer than I have and he's actually shaking... I really almost feel sorry for him...' Tsu tossed one of his bokkens to the ground and faced his last opponent. The two eyed each other for what had to have been a full minute before his squad mate finally made a move. For the first time in a while, Tsu was caught off guard. He had to admit, he hadn't thought the kid would try something like that. He watched as his opponent dove for one of his fallen comrade's weapons then came at him with everything he had. Even though his opponent was using two weapons, Tsu still refused to give any ground. Instead, he began pushing his opponent back. Tsu could see sweat running down the young man's face as he tried battling back, but with such weak attacks, the fight was already over. Tsurabisu swung low, giving his opponent a sizable opening, and of course the kid took it. The kid kicked off the ground, sending himself through the air, jabbing toward Tsu's heart. Only problem was that Tsu wasn't there anymore... Tsu spun to the side of the jab and came up with an upward slash that caught his opponent right in the gut while he was still in mid air. The force of the slash sent the kid several feet into the air before he continued with his original flight plan all the way to the floor. Tsu tossed his bokken to the floor and called out to all the squad members in the dojo, both the ones watching and the ones lying on the floor. "Come on! You guys are no fun! Can't any of you even hit me? You guys are all I have since Ikkaku's off drunk somewhere and Yumichika hasn't sparred with me since he got that sliver..." A few chuckles escaped those gathered at the mention of Yumichika's little accident, and Tsu had to admit seeing his friend whining about his destroyed beauty because of a sliver in his hand was one of the funniest things he had seen in quite a while. One more look around the room to see if there were any other takers and Tsu shook his head. Looks like his fun was over for a while. Or maybe not... He began to sense Hikari heading in his direction. He turned to leave but paused for a second. He pointed at the ones just getting off the floor. "You men. Clean this mess up. If Zaraki comes after me for the dojo being messed up, I'm coming after you. Understand?" After hearing enough "Yes sir's" to be satisfied with, he picked up his Zanpakuto, Hoshokusha, and headed out to meet with his childhood friend.

Once nearing the Squad 11 Division, Hikari stopped. 'Maybe I shouldn't be bothering Tsu... After all, I do have a lot of paperwork to finish... And I wouldn't want to be compared to Rangiku-fukutaicho for slacking... Not to mention if I don't start catching up on it, I might just get demoted and transferred back to Squad 10...' Hikari winced. 'Yeah...no. Besides, Tsu-kun is probably busy, too, being 4th seat and all. I remember not too long ago when I was seat 8, and I was sometimes busier than I am even now... Besides, I'm pathetic, always running to Tsu-kun if I'm scared. Maybe Hitsugaya-sama is right. It's pretty stupid to be worrying about my bankai. I mean, it's not like I'm anywhere near controlling it yet, so it shouldn't be that powerful as long as I don't resonate... okay, maybe that's why I'm scared. I know I can't control it, and if I make one mistake, I could drain reiatsu from every living thing nearby and drop a spirit bomb the size of the moon on the Soul Society...' She hung her head dejectedly. "Okay, that's why I'm scared. One wrong move and I'll kill myself and everybody around me." She finally said out loud to herself. "Paperwork can wait. Anyway, I can't concentrate on it, so maybe if I talked it over with Tsu, he could help me feel better. He's always been able to fix things if I'm sad or scared, even when we were little, so just maybe..." She opened the door to the division and meekly poked her head in. She was hoping not to be seen by other 11th division members, because sadly, although she had started to manifest bankai, and mastered kido, her physical skills were... somewhat...lacking. A lot of these guys could kick her butt ten times over. Tsu was a heck of a lot stronger than she was, she was sure of it. Why he didn't go for vice-captain was beyond her. Normally members didn't pick fights with vice-captains, but she was new, and it didn't help that she was with 4th Squad. They got the butt end of everything. People picked on them nonstop, but soon enough when they were sick or injured, they would come crying to them, begging to be fixed up. She sighed, ducking away from a couple of ruly members walking by and hiding her reiatsu. Finally, she made it to Tsu's quarters. She quietly knocked, but once again, she heard some more people coming her way, and threw open Tsu's door and slammed it shut quickly, not wanting to get picked on once again. She slapped her head to her forehead. "I'm in so much trouble for this... I just entered someone's quarters without permission... Head-captain Yamamoto is gonna have my head for this..." Hopefully Tsu wouldn't be angry and report her. Or she was screwed.

Tsu headed back to the barracks to where Hikari's reiatsu was coming from. He passed a few of his squad members on the way. He asked if they had seen her, though they just shrugged and continued on their way. As he headed down the hall to the squad quarters, he could sence her in the direction of his room. "Great..." Tsu started moving faster, hoping to get there before anyone else found out. He slid his door open and stepped inside, coming face to face with Hikari. "You know, if anyone finds out you're here, I'm never going to hear the end of it... What do you say we head out and talk somewhere in private?"

"U-um, yeah. I sort of was knocking to see if you were here, and some really loud guys were coming this way, I sort of ran in here so they wouldn't see me... I'm really sorry, I wasn't thinking! It'd be pretty embarrassing for you to be caught with a squad 4 in your room, huh?" She giggled somewhat nervously. "It wasn't anything important, anyway..." She said, losing her nerve. She reached for the door, pulling it open. "I'm always bothering you, so... Don't worry, I'll sneak out so no one will find out. Could you please not tell anyone? If you do, I'm sure Yamamoto-taicho will have my head on a silver platter..."

Tsu reached out and caught Hikari by the shoulder. "Hey, don't run off. 'Kay? Though we shouldn't stay around the barracks. I'd really rather not deal with Ikkaku. And can you imagine if Lt. Yachiru walked in?" Tsurabisu gave his friend a grin. "Let's head out to the courtyard. That way we can talk. Besides, do you really think anyone around here is going to say anything to you while I'm here? They'd have to deal with me!" Tsu turned and took a few steps down the hall, then waited for Hikari to join him.

"Okay, well, I suppose... Although I'm probably being a burden again, aren't I? Don't worry, I won't keep you long. I have paperwork in the 4th Division to do, as well." Hikari fell silent, stepping out after Tsu.

"Will you stop that?" Tsu turned to look back at her. "You know full well that I've never thought of you as a burden. How much longer are you going to act like this? I mean, we've been friends practically our whole lives. Tsu sighed and shook his head. "You know, you always do this. You finally work up the courage to talk about your problems and now that we're here, you wanna turn tail and run. I just really don't get you some times, Hika-" Tsurabisu was interrupted as he crashed into something. He hit hard enough to land on his back side. "Ah..what the...?" He looked up to see the tattered Haori of the 11th squad's Captain.
Kenpachi Zaraki slowly turned around to face the two. "And just what the hell is going on? Tsurabisu and...? Hmmm. What's a member of squad 4 doing here?"
"Sorry, Captain. Guess I wasn't paying attention." Tsu glanced back at Hikari as he made it back to his feet, relieved that she had her Zanpakuto with her. "And Hikari wanted to improve her sword skills, so she asked me to show her a few things. I figured since I was off duty, I may as well. Eh?" Zaraki eyed the two of them for a few seconds before responding. "Well, the Lieutenant of squad 4 wants to learn how to fight? Maybe there's hope for them yet... All right. Get out of here, the both of you." "Yes sir, Captain..." Tsu made a gesture for Hikari to follow him as he headed down the hall.
"And Tsurabisu," Kenpatchi called after him as he turned away. "If you run into me again, I'll kill you myself." "I'll keep that in mind," Tsurabisu said with a grin.

"Um... Thank you, sir..." Hikari bowed respectfully to the 11th Captain as he was leaving. She then turned to Tsu. "Ugh... Now you're on my case too? It's bad enough I had to get a lecture from a captain earlier about being scared but now my best friend?" She fell silent until they made it into the court yard. "I've mangaged to attain bankai, somewhat. I don't know... I know it sounds stupid. I was going to show it to Hitsugaya-sama earlier, but I chickened out. I can't control it, Tsu... Actually, I'm terrified of it. I hate it." She pulled her sword out from its sheath and dropped it on the ground in front of her. "I am supposed to be a healer, aren't I? But what happened when I discovered it..." She shuddered. "I could feel everyone around me!" She wandered over to the bench, leaving her zanpakuto carelessly on the ground, and plopped down. "I don't know if this is really what I want anymore, being a shinigami. With these battles with the arrancar coming up, if I accidentally tap into the power of my bankai, I could mess up and annhilate the entire Soul Society." She knew she was exaggerating, mostly. Something like that could only happen if they were to engage in battle with the arrancar inside the Soul Society, which wasn't likely, but still, the chance that friend among foe could be killed frightened her. "I feel like I don't ever want to pick that thing up again!" She glared at the discarded sword on the ground.

Tsu looked down at Keikoku, laying . "Bankai, huh? You know, I'm surprised you've attained Bankai when you treat her like that." Tsu slid Hoshokusha from his belt and then sat down. He placed his Zanpakuto on the ground next to him and gestured for Hikari to sit across from him. "So, looks like we do have a lot to talk about. Tell me about your Bankai. What do you mean you can feel other people?"

Reena yawned and looked around, smirking as she remembered how and why she had ended up in the Soul Society. Since she was bored with Hueco Mundo, she had wondered out and slipped into the Soul Society behind five oblivious Shinigamis. Then she had just began wandering around, hiding her reiatsu, and watching the Shinigamis as they went about their day. They almost seem boring, Reena thought to herself, instead of just being bothersome. Now, she was laying up on one of the tallest branches on an old, gaunt, knotted tree, silk-like pink blossoms hiding her from view. This place has so much color, Reena thought to herself as her senses shut down, except for her hearing and everything other sense to make sure no one found her, and let herself slip gracefully into a restless sleep with the wind playing with her dark, feather-like hair.

She looked away. "I don't treat her badly! She wasn't supposed to kill people! She was supposed to defend and protect! If she can do this..." Hikari squeezed her eyes shut. Then it's all my fault...She thought to herself. "Then I failed at what I really wanted to do!" The cherry blossoms blew around her and she glanced around, sort of getting the feeling like she was being watched, but ignored it, figuring that it was just Tsu that was staring at her. So she continued. "And by feeling... how do I put it... You know how you can feel my reiatsu? Like you know if I'm angry, or happy, or even dying? Well, it's sort of like that. But I resonate. Like for a second, I don't just feel your energy, I *am* that energy. But it scares me, because for that same instant, I *am* everyone else's around me as well. There is just so much power. I can't handle it. And if I can't handle it, where will all of that energy go?"

Kratos walks outside towards to wooden railings and sighs. I wonder where that voice was comming from Kenpachi Zaraki walks around the corner and notices Kratos in a distance, he walks towards Kratos in suspicion. Kratos notices the captain and talks in a sarcastic tone, "Captain?" A grave smirk comes across Kenpachi's face, "Heh. your the sixth seat eh!" the smile on his face melts away. "You don't seem like a fighter..." "Sorry to disappoint you...Captain" Kenpachi's second in command comes around the corner and sees the two, "Hey Kenny! Who is that!" Kenpachi glares at Kratos, not angry of hateful, but more in a curious kind of way and begins to walk off, "Nobody...come on were leaving!" Kratos watches as they both walk off in the distance smiling an eerie smile...

If I ever treated Hoshokusha, she'd never let me live it down. But as for your Bankai, I think you just need practice with it. I seriously doubt you've tested out your Bankai, so I think that would be the next logical step. Don't you agree?" Tsu stretched his legs out and leaned back against the wall. "Do you even know what you can do? Yeah, you say you can feel people's energy, but what about it? Can you do anything with it? Honestly, I'm a little curious about it. Maybe we can get out of here and you can show me. That is, if you don't mind showing it to someone other than your precious Captain Toshiro..." Tsurabisu smirked. He never missed a chance to tease Hikari about squad ten's Captain. Though he knew the story behind it, it still sounded as if she was a little obsessed with him.

Why do you have to act like that?! You know, I owe Hitsugaya-sama my life!" She blew her bangs out of her eyes in frustration. "Here I thought you cared about me! Why are you so mean when you talk about him? He could have just left me for dead back there you know, then I wouldn't be here talking to you!" She walked over to where her discarded sword lie, picking Keikoku up. "She's just as confused as I am," she whispered, eyes softening at her zanpakuto as she clutched it to her chest. Her eyes flashed and she spun to face her friend once again. "And no, I haven't shown it to Hitsugaya-sama! I couldn't even say what's wrong... And I'm NOT going to explore it. Why should I? What if it goes crazy and I'm forced to commit seppuku for my failures or something?" It was pointless to talk to anyone, she was realizing. She sighed and decided to drop the matter, turning to Tsu once again with a teasing smile, covering her worries. "And anyway, I'd like to see you call Hitsugaya-sama "Captain Toshiro" to his face! I bet that he would knock you sensless with Hyourinmaru!" She snickered, drawing her blade. "I know this is what you really want, so, I'm going to make it easy for you! Meet you at the training grounds!" She used shunpo and vanished in a flash, knowing that Tsu wasn't going to be far behind her.
