Who: Axl and Jay Where: On the docks When: Day 6, after the voting.
Christ. What else could go wrong for Axl? His cabin had been skunked. He'd had to taken a tomato soup bath and now his fur was stained pink. Then Chris threatened to tell Jay about the real him, and said that he'd have to! Oh, there was no way in hell he was telling her.
That wasn't the end of his troubles either. He'd been kidnapped, missed the challenge, and then woke up to see his tail obscenely shaved. And now for missing the challenge, he was probably going to be voted off. Not that that was his fault... But yeah.
Because he was afraid he'd be the one voted off--and because he looked quite hideous--he'd fled the campfire grounds as soon as he'd cast his vote. He didn't go to his cabin either, he really really didn't want to see his cabinmates. Instead, he went to the dock and sat there, staring out over the water.

What a relief today had been. Of course, the challenge was boring when compared to the last, but they'd won! Each of the remaining Beavers were safe for today. This didn't raise Jay's mood all that much, contrary to what one might think. Sure, there was the initial spasm of joy, but it didn't beat her pointless sulking.
So after everyone was well and settled in their cabin, she started on her way to the docks. Honestly, visiting the docks at night have become somewhat of a daily ritual. There was a sentimental feeling, sitting there where each camper's journey on Wawanakwa began and ended.
She was usually the first, if not only camper on the docks at night. But this night she'd been beat, apparently. As she reached the place where dock met land, Jay spotted some mangled creature sitting at the end of the dock, there; somewhat familiar yet different. The moon was gracious to reveal the sheen of Axl's halloween hair.
"What the hell happened to you?!"

Axl looked up when he heard someone say his name. Seeing that it was Jay... He cursed silently, moving his tail quickly out of sight.
"Uh.. A lot of things happened to me," he said, eyeing her for a moment. He still didn't know who had kidnapped him, it could have been anyone, after all. Though.. Jay wouldn't do that, would she?
Sighing, he turned back to look out over the water, making sure his tail was well hidden.

If Axl wanted his tail hidden, he was in luck. Jay could smell the lingering odor of skunk fumes and tomatoes on Axl and, well, could he blame her for sitting several feet away?
But damn, Axl was upset. Jay scooted over as close as was possible, taking one of his hands in her own, "I know, Axl. How'd you get this messed up?"

He fidgeted a bit, half wanting to pull his paw out of her grasp, half wishing she'd give him a huge hug. His seablue eyes shifted to glance at her, but he wouldn't look at her full on. s**t, he didn't want to tell her. It was too embarrassing.
"I'll be ******** if I know. But when I find out, I swear, someone's going to get messed up."

"You don't know?" Jay blinked at him, not understanding. How could he not know? "You mean you didn't get into a fight or anything to get... She stroked her free hand down his arm, "this?"
Hold up. If he didn't get this messed up in a fight...? Damn, someone was a valuable prankster in camp. ******** up as it was, she wanted to meet this person. Perhaps settle some minor scores. All that fun stuff.

"Not a god damn clue." His brow furrowed as he glared at something unseen in the distance. "Some idiot threw a skunk in our cabin. So I had to take a tomato soup bath. And darling? That stuff stains." He waved an arm at her as proof.
"And then I got ******** drugged and kidnapped. If Lucifer didn't come find me..." He shook his head, growling a bit. "I missed the ******** challenge."

Jay wrinkled her nose, "honey, trust me, I know about the skunking." But s**t, she didn't notice his new dyejob. All his white markings were now a petite, girly, Helena-inspired pink. "Oh, damn, Axl. You'll have to get that off."
Lucifer? Hm, that guy seemed like a shady character at first. The one who burned his food all the time. But if he helped Axl... No. Jay refused to trust any Sharks, no matter what they did.
"Aw... That's awful about the challenge... But someone had to sit out anyways, right?"

"I can't get it off," he said bitterly. "I scrubbed and scrubbed. Its going to be a few days at most before it fades out..." He let out a sigh, staring down at his hands.
His head snapped up at her next words. "What? Someone was supposed to sit out? Oh, thank god!" He perked up considerably at that. That was good news!

"Well, yeah... To even it out, right?" Honestly, Jay didn't pay much attention to other teams' affairs, but this seemed like common sense. And hey, it cheered Axl up a bit. She gave him a smile, scooting over to lean against him. The smell wasn't too bad. Hell, her nose probably got used to it. Ain't that precious?

It was probably because tomato smell isn't as offending as skunk smell. If she'd smelled him that morning she'd probably wouldn't be anywhere near him.
Axl sighed softly. "I'm just glad I didn't get voted out. I don't want to go home..." He turned to look at her, slipping an arm around her shoulders. "I don't want to leave you."

Good. Axl seemed to have calmed down for the most part. "I don't want you to go home, too. But hey, at least we live close together, right..?"
His next words left her a bit flustered. She didn't exactly have any "sweet little relationships" back home. What was one to say back to such a statement? Ehh.... Jay settled for leaning in and kissing him.

"Yeah... A really good thing..." he said, his voice really low. Man... He was in trouble for sure. What was he going to do when the show ended and they had to go home? He really didn't live anywhere near Jay...
The kiss took him a bit by surprise, but he eagerly leaned into it. It seemed to be an appropriate enough response to him!
