 What a boring few days she'd had. Inari found herself wandering South for no good reason- other than it was the opposite direction of the place she'd once called home. Why had she left there in the first place, anyway?
Didn't matter anymore, not to her. She'd needed to get away, that was all that mattered. The roguelands, a place she had once imagined as a wild, always-exciting, adventurous setting only fit for the bravest, or most foolhardy, was terribly dashed. It turned out... the place was empty and boring, the only adventure to be found here was finding the next kill, which wasn't exceedingly difficult to her mind, either. She'd passed judgement on it- roguelands in general were overrated. With a discontented sigh, the lioness padded, half-mindedly looking to and fro for something to do, someone to interact with, anything but more grass.

The rogue lands were indeed full of grass, and when you ran out of grass to look at there was always dirt. Beyond that? More grass and dirt. Keefa had no idea how she had come to this place, nor where she had been before. But it had been her home for some time in any light.
She had left the thorny tree by the watering hole for a while to think. It would be good to get a moment away from the family. Granted, she would only end up thinking about the very thing she needed a break from. Funny how that sometimes worked.
The young female had, in some time, found a large tree with a wide canopy. Her coat was hot from the morning sun. Ducking into it's welcoming shade, she sighed with relief, flopping her body down onto the dry ground.

Inari was padding for that same tree, when it came into sight. She was relatively quiet, but sighed heavily as she herself ungracefully laid down in the shade. "What a day... What am I doin--- OH!" She had started talking to herself until she noticed a little something.
Ok, maybe not so little. Another lioness, seemingly perfectly disguised for savannah grass and dirt sharing the shade with her. Having not expected it, though, Inari leapt about 2 feet into the air away from the stranger, hackles rising from sheer instinct. She calmed down quickly, though, after the initial shock of someone being present.
"Holy gods! You scared me, there!" she said with a chuckle, raising her paw to her chest with an exaggerated sigh. "I completely didn't see you, I'm sorry!"

The others words broke her thought. Until then, she had not realized the other was even near. "Oh, hello there." She said, tail flipping this way and that against small flies. Something dawned on her. "I'm s-sorry. Is this your tree? If it is I'll be happy to go." She was hot and mildly upset. This was not exactly the time to be making anyone angry.

Inari's pulse was still coming down. Slowly but surely coming down. She was kinda surprised the other lion wasn't as surprised as she was... Of course, the stranger probably saw her coming. "Hi," she said, plopping down again, now aware of the other lion. She was about to speak when the other lion did. She looked at her, then up at the tree, and back at the lioness. "Oh no, this isn't my tree, not at all, I don't mind if you're here, you just kinda surprised me there!" She said with a sheepish grin. "Likewise, I hope you don't mind if I share the shade, do you?"
An epiphany- she hadn't introduced herself. "My name's Inari, by the way. Nobody's ever found a good way to shorten it, but feel free to if you can think one up," she said.
