lol, I drew before I got into photo to, but I still draw, and I'm not to bad at it. In my photo class in high school, people would say things like "We do photography because we cant draw" then when I started doodling in the class, they stopped saying that because I guess I did good. sweatdrop

In my photo class in high school, people would say things like "We do photography because we cant draw" then when I started doodling in the class, they stopped saying that because I guess I did good. sweatdrop Really? In my schools photography class more then half of the students could draw.. of course the class was only 10 people. 7 if you only count the ones who showed up regularly. And most of them only took the class because the teachers a twit, which makes for an easy credit.
I dislike it when people say they only got into photography because they can't draw. It cheapens photography. Having the ability to draw, or not having the ability to draw, dose not dictate whether or not you'll be any good at photography. They both require the same basic knowledge in the elements of design!
Most people who say they do photography because they can't draw probably just realized that drawings a lot harder then it looks, that it requires endless hours of dedication in order to be any good. Then they see someone with a camera and think "Hey, photography's easy, I'll do that!" Little do these idiots know that if they want to be any good in photography, they require the same amount of dedication.
Good for you for putting them in there place! (and sorry for the slightly irritated reply.. sweatdrop )

At one of the art shows at my old high school, there were people walking around all like "oh, all i need to do is get a camera and im an artist!" and it bugged me sooooo much! I tripped one of them and made him fall down the ramp. twisted
