Izzy sat under a large oak tree reading to herself, her elbows were on her knees, her sun dress draped over then as to not show off anything 'special'. Her glasses were sliding down her nose some as she was intent on her book, She had no idea of what was going on around her in the park on the corner. She nibbled her bottom lip as her blonde locks slipped forward when she leaned in to turn the page. She loved books, The little girl had become more skittish when she wasn't with Schmee, but right now she was lost in the book she had.

There was someone else who was quiet and studious nearby, or as quiet and studious as one could get when one lived with Remi. He was taking a walk at the moment, not for any particular reason, but instead to think and relax. And that was something he was finding harder and harder to do in the territory Remi had chosen for them. The daring duo had ended up in Gokiinu Warehouse, and the American shorthair was beginning to notice some definitely morally questionable activity around there... While Remi was obliviously playing pretend heroes as usual.
It was beginning to frustrate him, and he just needed a break. He needed to be by himself, or at least talk to someone sane. Unfortunately, his second best acquaintance, Valiant, was just as crazy as his British Shorthair friend.
He sat down under an oak tree with a heavy sigh, but as it so happened, for once in his life luck was on his side. Unnoticed and busy reading on the other side of the tree was perhaps the only pleasant cat that he had ever met, grown but still just as charming as ever.

Izzy's eyes were growing tired from all her heading, she was almost half way threw the book she had in her lap and she had only started it this morning. She slipped a feather she had found into the book and closed it slipping her glasses off she sat them ever so carefully on her lap and rubbed her tired blue eyes. She sat tall and stretched, before she turned her body to the side to crack her back she caught a glimpse of some familiar fur, " Neptune?" she questioned softly. It had been what seemed like forever since she'd seen the other cat. She was slightly afraid that the other wouldn't recognize her, or that she was mistaking another cat for the one she knew. Her closest friend in fact. " Is that you Neppy? I haven't seen you in what seems like forever." She muttered standing and dusting off her dress moving closer to him and smiling widely, " Oh Neptune it is you!" She exclaimed as she slid her glasses on her face, " where have you been?" She asked him with a sigh shaking her head. " You diapered that night that it rained and I haven't seen you since, I was worried." she told him sitting down next to him and putting her book in her lap. There was something thing about the boy with the fish plushie that brought out the best in the girl.

"Is that you, Neppy?"
There was only one cat that called him by that name, and Neptune was stirred from his reverie, turning around and blinking as another feline, slightly older now, came into his vision. Rubbing his eyes, he stammered "Uh..."
"B-Being dragged around by Remi, actually." Sidekicks weren't allowed to have social lives, he thought with a sort of bitter humour. But he couldn't stay bitter for long, not with Izzy around, and his face cracked open into a genuine smile. "F-forget about me though," he exclaimed, "You got glasses! Can you see me now?" Waving at her, he said "Do I like how you imagined?"
He moved closer to her as well, and a stab of guilt bit at him. "Yeah, I-I'm sorry I left so suddenly last time. I'm in a territory with Remi now, it's pretty busy..." He trailed off, biting his lip worriedly. "Th-there's some... some stuff I've gotta work out for myself. Th-that's why came here."
He didn't want to think such depressing things around her though. She was his only friend who wasn't terrifying! "But now I can be here for you if you want. What's new?"

Izzy smiled and laughed lightly at Neptune, " I see very well actually." she pushed the glasses up on the bridge of her nose and shrugged slightly, " so life with Remi is still pretty bad?" She asked him frowning slightly, " I mean not any better?" she asked letting her fingers brush over the feather sticking out of her book. "your just like i imagined." She told the other smiling softly. "maybe better." She added a small blush crawling up her cheeks. She cleared her throat and shook her head, " Why don't you just leave Remi?" she asked cocking her head to the side letting her sapphire eyes look over at the other's. " I mean you are old enough to just go aren't you?"

Neptune shrugged. "He means well. he's just naive, he doesn't GET what's going on around him." He shrugged. "Sometimes I feel like I'm smarter and more capable than Remi, I just... I'm just n-not brave enough."
"I-I'm glad you can see again though. A-and I'm glad I'm not disappointing. Really glad, actually. Um..." he blushed, collecting his thoughts. "Like I said, I-I'm not brave enough. B-but I can at least talk to him. D-don't worry about me." He seemed eager to get off the subject. "But where are you staying? H-have you found a good place? I was really worried about you, you know. I th-thought about going out to find you once or twice." He smiled at her, taking in how much she had changed since he had last seen her. "It's good to know you're all right."

Izzy smiled at Neptune, " I'm staying with Mama Schmee and Satine, In they're big house. There's lots of room, and I have my room. and Mama is Training me to be a nimble fighter just like her." She said a wide smile planting itself on her face. She fiddled a little with the ribbon on her dress. " If you don't like being with Remi so much, why don't you just leave?" She asked him knitting her eyebrows together and looking up at him, " They'res plenty of places you can go. and Plenty of people who will take you in and help you. And they won't be mean to you." She told the other with a small smile. "I'm sure you could get away from him if you really wanted to. Theres so much room here, you don't have to be his sidekick. Your a hero deep down inside i know it." She told the other blushing slightly. " You just need to stop living in Remi's shadow and be adventurous."

Neptune frowned. "Well, that's the thing." he said simply. "It's- It's more difficult than that, I mean..." He bit his lip, looking at the ground. "H-He's my friend, in a weird sort of way. We've been through a lot and all, and it's not him, it's just the territory. Something's wrong. I d-don't know what, but soemthing's worng and Remi doesn't notice, and..."
"I d-don't have proof yet, either." He smiled at her wearily. "Either way, i-it's my concern, not yours. I'll figure out what to do, no worries!"
He nodded as she spoke. "A nimble fighter? Sounds pretty tough. Tell me if she pushes you too hard, I-I'll stick up for you!" He flexed a (largely nonexistent) muscle. "A-after all, if I'm a hero, that's what I'm supposed to do, right?"
