Moricorm stalked through the grasses, grin on her face. The fiery voice within her was practically YELLING inside her soul. BLOOD. She wanted blood, of a so-called 'demon-hunter' variety. They would pay for thinking they could take on the Aikanaro'hini. Only rarely did the bells on her headdress chime, and she moved in a sort of 'random' pattern, so any listening for the chimes would be disoriented. She traveled alone, too, so Ithil's wing flaps wouldn't be a distraction or give-away.
She'd ordered the little bird to stay home. Ah...a scent...Ri's grin grew more feral. A target. She dropped even lower to the ground and crept towards the scent...then pounced.

((If I screwed up or did this wrong, let me know and I can alter it no problemo. lol))The air was thick and tense. Enzi knew someone was approaching. He could feel it. He knew others were encroaching on the Mwako'bi'Giza lands, and he wasn't about to stand by and let those he loved be hurt, or the home he loved be taken over.
He was the Jua now.
It was night and everything was cast in shadows and moonlight, making visibility poorer than normal. A general feeling of unpleasantness had woken him, and he had left his den to keep watch at the borders. Gray hair bristled on his back, Enzi stalked silently through the grasses, purple eyes ever alert to his surroundings, and ears swiveling constantly to pick up foreign sounds.Nesi was walking for once, not far away from her bonded's side. She had seen the approaching lions overhead when she had been flying before. They were demons. The hawk had never seen a demon lion before, but she knew of them...Ohhh she knew of them. They were cruel, evil beasts with a lust for blood and pain, and they had even stolen Enzi's own brother. The avian couldn't wait to sink her talons into a demon's hide, so help her--
Before any other thoughts left her mind, she felt a weight unlike any other slam itself on top of her. Screeching out in surprise and pain, Nesi did the first thing that came to her mind; retaliate. Violently and brutally retaliate.Whipping around at the sound of his bonded's scream, Enzi's eyes were met with red; bright red. The rest of the creature must have been black, for she blended in with the night.
"NESI!" he shouted upon seeing his friend in the clutches of a demon. Without any more hesitation, Enzi lunged at the demon, shoving his weight into her in an attempt to get his avian free.

Oh, but Enzi hadn't been the first one to the fight. As soon as she'd heard that familiar sound on the wind, the soft tinkling sound of bells, Mabaka had known. Oh she'd known and she didn't waste a second. Only a single syllable had to be uttered for her brother to understand.
"Ri..."
And as soon as it had been said, he'd rushed back to the pride with the intent of protecting the youngsters. And with her beloved brother safely out of the way, Mabaka rushed forward. Green eyes were more intent than ever, and as soon as they spotted the form of the black lioness, her paw pressed down on the Jua's companion, a rage unlike anything the leopon had ever felt before washed through her.
She roared at the top of her lungs - alerting the pride of the attack - before charging Ri, swiping her claws towards the demon's flank.

Ri hadn't quite expected the vicious retaliation from the bird under her black paw. Foolish thing was being an annoyance though. Hawks hurt more when they struck then her Na'artue's father being particularly rebellious.
When she lifted her head so she could keep her eyes out of the way, she met gray...and then green. Red eyes widened as she took in the two the eyes belonged to before being muscled off the bird and swiped at. Hybrids. Filthy, disgusting hybrids. And one of them...a filthy creature she'd never hoped to see again. Her oh-so-dear 'cousin' Mabaka'damu.
She recovered quickly, ignoring the pain from the new wounds on her flank and the paw the had held the stupid bird down. Coactum would NOT be denied blood. Not this time. And the blood of these filthy creatures would drench the ground. She would take care of the known quantity first. She lunged at Mabaka's legs, determined to use her small size to her advantage.

Immediately upon being released, Nesi took to the skies, bruised wings flapping as fast as they could. She let out an echoing cry of warning, signaling the attack. Never before had she experienced a fight like what was starting, and she hoped she never would again. No one could say who would die. No one could say who would walk away the victor. But one thing was for sure.
She wasn't goin' down without a fight.
The flash of red and white accompanied by a roar made Enzi's ears swivel backwards, and he was startled at the sudden loud noise. Hissing at his re-surfaced bad habit, he realized the red and white thing was Mabaka, and he stretched his claws, racing towards the demon to aid his fellow pride member.
The demon lioness's sudden lunge was unexpected, but then again, that's what made a fight a fight. Enzi slid backwards, not sure where she had been aiming at first. Then he rushed in again, teeth bared and claws at the ready, slashing wherever he could. But the lioness was small, and hitting her wasn't easy.

Mabaka quickly leapt back at Ri's swipe, pressing her ears flat against her head. She'd learned in her earlier fights with the small lioness to never pay attention to the sound of her bells. She could only hope Enzi picked up on that soon enough. With a low growl of displeasure, the leopon swiped her paw at Ri's ankles, if only to dislodge some of the bells the lioness wore.
The more bells that were dislodged, the easier it would be for Enzi.

Ri was intensely glad of her size now. It made ducking and dodging the gray male easier. But the female...URGH. Mabaka was INFURIATING. Pathetic little thing had managed to dislodge some of her precious bells, bells that Ithil and Matata had gotten for her, bells her mother had shown her how to add onto her already existing jewelry before she'd been found out. Screw going low. Ri reared and struck out at both her enemies, finding herself growing angrier.
Coactum was getting more and more annoyed, Astus retreating deeper and deeper...The fire was all that consumed Moricorm now, and it wouldn't take defeat as an answer.

Enzi ground his teeth, ears flinching back at the pain the demoness was inflicting on both him and Mabaka. He saw blood fly, but didn't know whose it was. If it was his, he didn't feel it. Adrenaline had shut off most what registered pain in him. Enzi was strangely attuned to others, making it hard for him to see someone else in trouble. But if anything, it made him want to fight harder.
So he did.
Instinct took over, mind filling with every fighting trick and technique Enzi had ever learned. It would all come into play in that fight, all of it.
The Leopon struck his claws out, gripping flesh and tearing. But the irritating sounds of bells consumed his hearing, making him disoriented. But he fought on, blind to everything around him except for blood-red and night-black. One minute the female was there, and the next she wasn't. She was fast and lithe, like a snake. But he'd catch her.
They both would.
When Nesi had circled overhead, crying out several times, she swooped down to the three-way fight. Her talons stretched out beneath her, wings spread and beak parted as she let out a battle screech. She landed smack-dab in the middle of the demon lioness's face, scratching the skin with her talons.
Though she was a large eagle, she was quick. Right after the scratch, she soared up into the sky again, circling only one or two times as she looked for another opening. She didn't spare many looks to Enzi, because she knew he could do alright on his own. She had trained him, after all. But even so, along with all the fighting will pulsing through her blood, there was also a knot of worry.

Mabaka saw rather than felt Ri's claws dig into her right cheek. Almost instantly she jumped back, hissing softly at the sudden sting right beneath her eye. Just a few more hairs upwards and the little demoness would have taken her eye out.
Green eyes narrowed as the leopon waited for another opening. Enzi and Nesibindi were doing very well on their own, but they didn't know Moricorm's tricks like Mabaka did. For now, the young female wouldn't get too close. She'd bide her time...
Ri would make a mistake eventually.

Ri yowled in pain and anger as both the gray leopon and the damned bird got her. The shoulder he'd torn into throbbed and the blood from the gashes on her muzzle, where it started to go in-between her eyes, leaked out. Ri was very glad the gashes weren't up higher...even she couldn't see through blood in her eyes. The demon-lioness decided to go for the gray leopon now. Mabaka could wait. Could wait until Ri wasn't distracted...and then she'd make her scream. Oh how Ri wanted her to feel the torture she'd caused Ri by foiling everything...
With a roar, she launched herself at the male, seeking to go between his legs and at his belly. She'd make them hurt, and then DIE.

The splashing of blood and the blurs of carnage and violence let Nesibindi in a whirlwind of rapid thoughts. She thought she had been used to all that; demons and fighting...She had experienced it before, and had trained hard for such occasions. But it had been a long time since she had faced demon lions...A long time. She wasn't used to it anymore. She couldn't focus. She couldn't get her act straight. She was a troublesome blur of feathers, trying time and again to help her bonded out, but she feared she was being more of a pain than an aid.
In that moment of self-reflecting thoughts, Nesi saw the demon adolescent charge right for Enzi.
She would NOT let anything happen to that pain-in-the-butt leopon!
Eyes flashing and beak ripping open to let out a screech of warning, the avian darted down from the sky to block the lioness. The act was dangerous. Life-threatening. And she was bowled into with full-force, taking much of the damage Enzi would've gotten.
In a flurry of blood and feathers, the hawk landed somewhere to the side, face-down and unmoving.
Despite being older and maybe even more trained than his leopon fighting partner, he kept looking to her to see what her next move was. It was never a bad thing to work together, he always said, but his observing made him dangerously open for targeting.
Violet eyes widening, Enzi lost sight of the demon lioness. His heart stopped and his mouth open, eyes searching desperately for some sign of blood-red in the blackness around him. Then he heard a horrific, ear-ripping sound that made every hair on his body stand on end.
Nesi's scream.
There was a sound like snapping, and he watched his bonded act as a shield between him and the demon whom he finally caught sight of again. But it was too late. She was knocked to the side, like a piece of trash.
Something in Enzi snapped.
Letting out the loudest roar he ever did, he met the lioness half-way, lunging at her with all the strength and anger in his entire body.
