Gilmour's personality can be found here

The iridescent hide of the small hatchling shimmered under the sunlight, glinting in soft hues as he hobbled along the water's edge. He trotted down at the base of Crater Lake, idly watching the water lap at the shore line. Although he had become blissfully addicted to the purple fumes within Hendrix's den, the altitude of the temple which the P'an-Lun resided in was far too high for Gilmour, as he often became noxious from the thin air. For this, Uncle Hendrix had to bring him down to the base of the mountains every so often so he wouldn't pass out from lack of oxygen. The older painter told him he could go find a more suitable "pad" once he was old enough to "trip high with the birds and butterflies", whatever that meant. Having spent enough time with the P'an-Lun, Gilmour had loosely translated it to "when you're old enough to fly on your own".

As to where Uncle Hendrix was now, Gilmour wasn't exactly sure. Although the serpentine dragon wasn't in the right state of mind (neither of them were, really), at least the older painter knew better than to let the hatchling wander too far off, or at least Gilmour thought. Uncle Hencrix did have a tendancy to get distracted...
The term "uncle" was just a nickname, as Hendrix was in no way related to either of Gilmour's parents. To the young painter's knowledge, Hendrix hadn't even met Zoey or Echoes before.

Eugene bounded excitedly across the banks of crater lake. He has just escaped Echoes, his father, while on an outing with his dad. He liked his dad very much but he had this general curiosity for the world making it hard for him not to wander. He puttered about a little and then noticed another painter about his age watching the water's edge. Eugene noticed something strange, the strange painter had the same markings as his Dad. The Darks Side of the Moon symbol, which only ran through his family. He couldn't resist starting a conversation with the new painter. Overjoyed Eugene leapt onto the new painter. Pouncing on him he Eugene giggled, "You look like my daddy!"

The small dragon paused in mid-step and ruffled his minuscule wings as he glanced around airily. Deciding this would be a nice place to just sit, Gilmour plopped down on the shoreline and stared blankly at the lapping surface of the water. Just staring... and staring... and staring... and sta-- THWAP!
The hatchling made some sound between a squeak and a grunt as another painter around his size collided into him. Fuchsia eyes blinked around in a daze as Gilmour found himself knocked over his side, the words from the other fledgling ringing his head. "Daddy... not Mother...?" he murmured, gazing around and failing to notice the other dragon on him. "Mother, should I run for president?...... .... .... Mother, should I trust the government....? .... ...... Mother, will they put me in the firing line?
Ooooowaa is it just a waste of time?"

Gilmour inhaled deeply before sighing. As he lifted his head, his snout bumped into the other male's, and he seemed to realize there had been another painter there at all. And... my, what a sun-shiney-looking face this fellow had. Why, he seemed to have the very sun on his face! Gilmour giggled softly to himself and looked bemusedly at the new hatchling. "Hello, Fat Old Sun."

After that strange reply Eugene felt completely confused. Eugene flopped back onto his haunches wondering if his impact had knocked the little painter a little too hard on the head. "Did you hear what I said?" said Eugene as he cocked his head to one side," I said you look kind of like my Daddy. You have the same marks," nudging his nose one the prysim symbol.

"I heard you," he murmured wistfully before letting his head drop back on the ground, not bothering to sit back up as he watched the sky with a whimsical look. He blinked a few times as the other fledgling prodded his side and his attention was briefly adverted to the triangular prism refracting a beam of light on his hide. "When did that get there...?" he inquired with a lost look strewn across his features before being distracted by the water once more. "I've never seen a dragon with that marking. How strange."
After a quiet moment of staring at his broken reflection on the water's surface, Gilmour suddenly sat up and turned to face the small painter, his nose pressing onto the other fellow's nose and disregarding personal space as he studied him carefully. "Do I know you?"

"Well if you look like my Daddy then maybe we are related. Long lost cousins?" he said softly feeling he also recongnised his new playmate. "His name is Echoes. My Daddy, I mean." Eugene had always hoped for brother or even a male cousin. He only had one sister, whom he loved very much, but she always seemed to be better than him at everything. In turn he wished for a brother. He cocked to his head slightly again returning to the here and now. He wondered if his new friend ever returned to the hear and now or if he was forever lost in the clouds.

Gilmour stared down the other fledgling, wondering if he knew him from somewhere. Wide, magenta eyes blinked a few times as his mind drew a blank. Slumping back onto his haunches, the iridescent painter wiggled his toes, partially listening to the other male.
"Cousins?" he repeated, looking up at the other child, a trace of hope seemed to be strewn in his eyes before he zoned out. He seemed to perk up again at the mention of Echoes, as though it was a name of importance, but shook his head as he once again lost his train of thought. "I have a family... I think... Somewhere out there..." he pointed his paw in a random direction and waved it. "Over the rainbow." he murmured, falling onto his back so he could look up at the clouds. A moment passed before he rolled over and rose to his paws again, walking in a circle as if to remember where he was before looking at Eugene. "Let's go look for them~" he quipped before teetering off in a random direction.

"Can't be. Mommy and Daddy have no brothers or sisters. Maybe you are my long lost brother? It is always a possibility," he said as he looked at him. We He felt some kind of strange affinity with the young sandpainter. They were both colorful painters, and this painter had the same eyes as his mommy. The more Eugene thought about it the more fesable it was that this strange painter was his father.

Gilmour only slowed his trot when he realized the other painter wasn't following. His brow furrowed as he hobbled back over to the young male. It seemed unlikely that this kid would have a sibling without ever knowing about it, but hey, it happened. "We can look for your long lost brother later, right now we have to go find my family!" he squeaked, tugging on the other dragon's tail. "C'mon- ur... ahhhhm... who are you again?"

"I am Eugene,"he said with a nod and yours?" The other painter nipped and tugged at his tail. "Ow knock it off man. You have a family?"

"Careful with that axe," he randomly said at mention of the other's name. Cocking his head to the side in a perplexed manner, Gilmour fluttered his miniature wings. "I am.... Gilmour? I think..." he murmured, before looking very confused. "I have a family? Do you? What's yours like? Did they leave you in the jungle when you were an egg? Mine did." he quipped, as if it were normal for eggs to be left alone in the underbrush of the jungle's foliage. The small dragon suddenly gasped as realization drew upon his face and he turned to bound away along the water's edge. "I need to go find that egg in the jungle!"

Clearly this conversation was going nowhere.

"Echoes my dad mentioned something like that. He said there were three of us. And that he had to put one of the eggs up for adoption because we live in the Grand Desert. There was no way to feed everyone, there's just not enough food. Some times we travel for days just to find one rabbit," he said slightly out of breath.

Gilmour slowed to a trot as he slowly realized he had no idea where he was going. Large magenta eyes looked around, lost and confused. Finally he stopped and flopped onto the ground with a defeated whimper. "Now I'll never find that egg..." He whined. He scrunched his nose and pressed it into the sand, listening partially to what Eugene was saying. "Rabbit... White Rabbit... Go ask Alice... when she's ten feet tall..." he murmured quietly, now overwhelmed by a spontaneous melancholy demeanor. Gilmour finally looked back up at the other small painter. "Where's your family now...?"

"Can you tell me what the place where your egg is looks like? Maybe I can take you there?" he said trying to give the confused painter some comfort,"You don't need to feel lost and confused, there's always a solution."Eugene paddled over to him and gave him a soft nudge of encouragement.

Gilmour buried his face under his paws and moaned pitifully. "I don't knooooow... It isn't there anymore." he wailed, flapping his small wings in distress. He seemed oblivious to the fact that Eugene failed to take his former inquiry into account. Well! he decided to his apparent bi-polar self, if his intentions are to fool me, then two can play at that game!
