o1 - Please do not post in this thread - if you have gifts or messages to give to Rhiannon please just PM them to me and I'll place them in the appropriate post.
o2 - If you wish to get my attention quickly for RP please PM me - I do try to keep active in the thread, but if I'm showing as online and am not responding, just PM.
o3 - IC and OOC are two different things for me - if Rhiannon gives your character a tongue-lashing remember that I mean absolutely no harm by it.

Note: Naturally this will only come into effect once she hits child stage!

Name: Rhiannon
Stage: Bottle
Gender: Female
Eyes: ???
Hair: ???
Birthplace: Aimes
Occupation: None. In the future, will be a fish monger.

Personality:
Rhiannon is the embodiment of a seashell - as such she naturally protects those she finds weak, loves using her body to perform hard labor of any sort, lives to please those she is closest to allowing them to make use of her as they need. While outwardly, her temperament tends to be a bit prickly and strange - though friendly and unassuming enough, inwardly she is a radiant being, loving the good, the wise and the innocent, and hating tyrants, evil and those who would take any advantage of those whom she has deemed too weak to fight for themselves. If she or someone she loves or wishes to protect is stepped upon, harassed or harmed, Rhiannon's gentle and goodhearted personality breaks - becoming sharp and cruel like any broken seashell, and she will do anything she can to get back at the one who dared to touch her charge.

She has no inclination to follow rules if they should get in her way, nor does she much like rules that hold her back from her passions of life. She believes that everyone should want to do well by others, and that while not everyone does things that are 'good', everyone should choose to do good, even if there are rules that prevent it - fully believing that there should be no consequences for doing something 'right' even when the law says it's 'wrong'.

History:
None yet. Her bottle has been found by her future guardian, Gregory Bifinny.

Name: Captain Gregory Bifinny
Age: 52
Gender: Male
Eyes: Gray
Hair: A clean, short, cut, Brown (with a few speckles of gray), with heavy graying at the temples, and a brown, short and neatly kept beard, with graying here and there.
Birthplace: Aimes
Occupation: Fish Monger and Tallyman - Retired Sea Captain.
Home: A decent sized sea shanty up on a bluff above the reach of high tide, about half a mile south of Aimes' primary fish market.

Personality: Captain Bifinny is a straightforward, highly respectable man. He is used to a life of heavy discipline, and to people respecting his words. His no-nonsense attitude is not harsh or designed to make others fear him - he is simply direct, honest, hardworking and expects these things from others. If he does not receive them, he is man enough to not let his temper get the best of him - he generally speaks his piece and walks away. He allows (or occasionally instructs) others to perform any correctional action. He is not swift to forgive, but if the person he is in conflict with gets in line, he will not hold any priors against them. He has a strong sense of the law. He does not believe in going against authority and those who do (either for good or ill) do not sit well with him.

Captain Bifinny has a deep love of the sea and everything about it. He does not mourn his retirement, but he does spend much of his free time looking out to sea, remembering his times as a Fisherman, climbing the ranks, and eventually becoming Captain. Due to his rank and time at sea spent alone, his natural introversion has only become stronger over time. He does not view his lack of personal friends a loss, indeed, the matter of it has simply not entered his mind since he was a very young man. He does not long for what he does not have, he just heads forward in his own way doing what he believes to be the next grand adventure.

History: Gregory fell in love with the sea at an early age - born a b*****d child to an unwed fishmonger, he lived his early years on the wharfs and docks of Aimes, learning how to tie knots, all the parts of a ship, and other sundry boating skills. His natural adeptness at the matters of sailing and enormous desire to please had him serving as a swabby occasionally on a small fishing boat at the age of 8. By the time he was 12, he was repairing ropes, mending sails, and working his fingers to the bone every day on the docks for 2 silver pieces a day. His mother would often come out to the docks at sunset only to find her child still hard at work, trying to finish his work by lantern light.

When Gregory turned 14, the captain of the Siren's Call, Harold Killough, requested that he join as a permanent member of the crew - to mend nets, swab the deck, gut the catch if they were to be out for a long run, and other sundry tasks. The work was grueling, mostly due to the long hours he spent under the whip of the first mate who had no patience to whining, weakness or lack of discipline. This man shaped much of who Gregory was to become. By the time he was 16 he was learning to Navigate, and was strong enough to help pull in the catch. When he was 17 he went on his first whaling mission, one that saw his sharp eye plant a harpoon clear in the great beast's maw. By the time he was 21, he was the ship's pilot, and his natural affinity for the sea permitted him to find schools of fish before anyone else - this led to the captain of the Siren's Call becoming rich enough that he retired many years earlier than he had hoped. Gregory's first captain was kind enough to write Gregory a writ, recommending him to one of the best fishing companies on the coast, by the name of Bluerider.

He was taken on the job, and found himself at the bottom of the heap again, with the crew of the 7th Shore, but he kept his nose to the grindstone - learning much of how to deal with and discipline men. While he was not accorded any formal position on his second ship, the captain discovered Gregory's talents several years later on a night when the drinking went sour. After asking permission to handle the situation (which the captain was incredulous at - never having thought much of the man), he headed into the galley where the fight was taking place. The crew had come to blows, some even taking up arms against each other. Bifinny took down several men who were twice his size, all the while explaining in his stiff, salty voice the virtues that had been drilled into him while he was a young teen - that there was no excuse for doing anything outside of your what your captain orders - especially disorderly conduct. Within a few minutes, the young adult had the crew under control, and was none the worse for wear.

He served as crew master from then on, taking up the role of disciplinarian and teacher. While Bifinny preached heeding to the captain and first mate at all costs, it was HE the crew were listened to and the captain realized the waste he was putting to this great leader by keeping him on board. When the opportunity came he recommended the man for his own ship. Bifinny was first mate for a few years on the Sweet Perch, but the captain of his ship fell ill and he took command of the crew. There he remained a highly successful and happy man for nearly a decade.

Then he found that his body wasn't handling the wear and tear anymore - worse, what was once a simple weather sense evolved into intolerable and paralyzing pain when the weather changed in all his joints. The arthritis increased, so that even the gentle rocking of the boat was too much to bear - and so, much to his great disappointment he left the crew of the Sweet Perch to its first mate, as he had gained it 10 years before.

It has been nearly a year, and Gregory Bifinny has adapted well to his life on land - while he still has fond memories of his time at sea, he strongly believes that he is doing well by his fellow man, and is proud of his accomplishments. His life is by no means over, just taken a new direction. Still with the Bluerider company, he now works a stall in the fish market as a manager and tally man for the fishing crews of Bluerider. He still lives his life on land as he did at sea - a rigid disciplinarian, straightforward, and farsighted.

Sitara - She's a nice enough girl. Little flit of a thing.
Silver - A very interesting young man - seems to be a good soul, though.
