The girl sighed, adjusting her overalls a bit as she walked down the strip mall to see about buying some new clothes. Almost all of her closet was dresses and skirts and these days they were all feeling way too exposing and uncomfortable. Plus, she only had the overalls and a pair of tight-ish pants to wear so she needed more of those.
Idly, as she was walking towards the shop she wanted, she spotted someone familiar out of the corner of her eye, in a sporting goods shop. The girl grinned, turning and entering the shop to go and see her old friend.

The thistle haired teen glared at the ponytailed girl behind the counter " I just want the tennis balls" she rattled the can in her hand " I don't want anything else, I don't care about the current deals, I will not fill out a survey and I don't want any member ship cards" Honestly all Mareike wanted was a few new tennis balls, was it so much to ask that the wrath girl get them without a hassle?
As her eyes slid left to keep watch for things it spotted ebony and the girl raised her free hand to wave at her friend, she hadn't seen the other girl in quite some time, her hair had been different back then too.

Ebony grinned, walking over to talk to her friend. "Hey Mare. How goes?" she asked cheerily, idly waving at the random lady behind the counter.

"oh, I'm all right. Was going to look for some new clothes. Did you want to come along?" the preteen inquired.

" Sure, I don't have to be anywhere else today." She was going to go to the courts and practice but spending time with others was important too and ebony seemed to bring out her more relaxed side.

The girl smiled, giving her a light hug. "that's great." she said cheerily. "You can probably help me pick out some nice things and if you want, I can get you something too." Yay, time with her friends.

Mareike laughed " A drink maybe but that's it I don't need new clothes." the wrath girl looked over Ebony" You're far too old for the overalls thing though." Mareike wasn't a fashion genius but she felt safe proclaiming this.

"Yeah I know." the girl said with a nod. "I'm wearing them since I only own these and a pair of tight pants and those are in the wash. Everything else is dresses and skirts and I kinda don't want to wear those." she explained.

Mareike looked thoughtful, Ebby wasn't exactly the sporty type either so the wrath child's own fashion wouldn't suit her either. "ahh ok, well did you have a particular store in mind to start out at?"

"Yes, I did. That's where I was heading when I saw you." the girl assured her, pointing a few stores down to the Goodwill. "I was told this one has some pretty good stuff."

"So? I'm buying pants and shirts, not like underwear or whatever." she replied with a shrug, "If they're in good condition, donated clothes can be just as good as new ones, and cheaper too."

Mareike never owned or used anything that wasn't new unless it was a society object and even those were switched out fairly regularly. the girl shrugged back "okay, are you completely not getting any skirts becuase they can still be kind of nice and good for move
ment and keeping cool int he hot weather." Mareiek tended to think about her clothes function first of all and it;s style second although the teen was starting to think that she was due a wardrobe change of her own again.

"No, I have plenty of those and unless I find a really nice long one or a skort, I don't think I'll get one. I'm finding wearing skirts is really starting to make me nervous these days." she explained as they walked towards the store.
