Philly sat in the Go Go Sushi bar waiting for Mina. She had left him there earlier and now he was bored. This place wasn't what he was looking for. No 'mark's or anything fun to do. Mina wouldn't come back for a while still so the teen just stared blankly to the counter.

Koko had been left alone too, but this was more alarming to the somewhat-delusional Gogo than it was boring. There was so much -peril- that a young lady alone was susceptible to! Eyes darting around the room, on the lookout for evil, she waited for Lena to return from ordering food, legs crossed and hands primly folded in her lap. Smoothing out her dress anxiously, she jumped as a frightening looking man came in. A man in a black suit with sunglasses! Surely he must be some sort of evil uncle, and here she was, alone and defenseless. Looking for something to keep her safe, anything, she spotted Philly further along the counter. She wasn't sure whether he was trustworthy, but at least he was her own size and she hurried to engage him in conversation. There was safety in numbers, after all, everyone knew that if a heroine was alone and defenseless she was far more likely to be put in danger!
"Hello, good sir!" she called out breathlessly. "How are you this fine day?"

Philly watched as the girl came over to him. He smiled and nodded at her greeting. "Well, hello there. I'm Philly. I'm not doing much of anything. How about you?" He looked her up and down. What would this one be named? Princess? Ah, maybe but maybe there was something better. He waited to gage her longer.

Quickly, Koko dropped this 'Philly' a quick curtsy, flashing him a tentative smile. "My name is Takoyaki Powell, but you may call me Koko if you so choose." she said, remembering to introduce herself, "A pleasure to meet you, Mr. Philly!" He didn't seem that evil from first impressions, and Koko relaxed, glad that peril had been avoided. "I'm just waiting for my dear mother to return from ordering food, but I fear I am quite intimidated by that man in black clothing and sunglasses over there." She leaned in towards Philly and whispered "I suspect him to be an Evil Uncle!" conspiratorially. "Since it's well known that danger is less likely to happen in groups, may I sit with you until my mother returns? I hope it's not too much trouble, but I really would appreciate it."
She studied him as she spoke, not quite sure where to place him in the romantic novel that she had decided life must be exactly like. He wasn't dressed like a handsome prince or an adventurer, but he wasn't dressed like an Evil Fiend either. Was he a helpful villager, perhaps, or a friendly accomplice? Whatever he was, Koko supposed she would find out. Either way, it had to be better than that frightening dark stranger at the counter.

The teen listened to all the girl said. "Really?" He looked over at the 'uncle' that she spoke of. In his mind he thought, Boy, this is too easy. Still, maybe it wasn't right to con someone like this?
"Sure you can my dear. I'm waiting for my owner to come back. She didn't want fish today and so she's out eating something else." Philly explained what he was doing. The male put his hand to his chin and thought for a moment. If he were to con her what could he do? She didn't seem to have anything he wanted so it would be more for his enjoyment then anything.
"Ah, he does seem to look over her often, KoKo. Maybe we should get you away from here." He decided to say. Play to what was already going on.

Koko beamed, so he was a good character after all! "Thank you, good sir." she said, seating herself primly next to him. She fell silent as he looked thoughtful, careful not to interrupt him, but what he said next alarmed her. Peering over at the evil uncle, she whispered "Y-you think?" He should know, he was definitely, she decided, a Helpful Accomplice figure! "I shall trust your judgement most readily, but I'm afraid I don't know a safe place for us to go... And how will my mother divine where my location is?" She looked to him trustingly for the answers to these perplexing dilemmas. He was the expert here, not her, and from his knowledgeable tone of voice he had surely helped many maidens from less than acceptable fates.
"Also," she said, feet dangling over the counter edge, "I do not mean to sound impertinent, make no mistake, but..." She glanced at the long drop the the floor and felt dizzy, clutching her head and pulling back, "I'm not quite sure how to get down." The Takoyaki looked embarrassed. She was ruining his plans to help her escape Peril already and she didn't even know what they were yet!

Philly looked to the counter's edge. It was pretty far, but then again he hadn't thought about going that way. "How about this way?" He pointed to a bunch of menus stacked up by a cash registrar. It was as if a light went on over his head. "I'll move the menus so he can't see you then you can hid in the drawer. First you might have to hand me some of the green papers to get out of your way. And then when you mom comes in I'll lead her to you." What a good plan this was. The girl would give him money and it looked as if he was helping her not himself.

That made sense. It was a good thing he was the Helpful Accomplice and not her, his ideas were much better. "That's a wonderful idea!" she exclaimed delightedly. "Thank you so very much, kind sir." She went to go over but paused. He was going to all this trouble to hide her and coming up with all these plans and he didn't even know her. Something occured to her that hadn't before, something horrible. He was putting himself in a lot of danger just to help one girl.
It was valiant of him, but she had to give him a chance to back down! She had nearly forgotten that every romantic heroine had to make sure that none of her friends were in real peril, and she looked back at him nervously. "Are you sure this is okay though? If you don't want to help me, I understand, it's quite a large risk and we've scarcely known each other for more than a few minutes..." Now that his character had been established in her head, not trusting him never even entered her mind. He was an Evil Uncle fighter, no doubt about it.

Philly looked to the girl as she spoke before grabbing a menu and setting it up. She was right he didn't know her very well, why was he helping her? Sure, he knew that it wasn't really her he was helping but himself to the money, but that couldn't be told.
The male smiled as he set up another menu. "Well, my dear Lady. I'm helping you because you are too beautiful to be marred by such and ugly evil uncle. What kind of man would I be if I didn't?" He bowed to her with another smile. He laid it on thick, but he hoped it came of as pure sweetness and honesty.

Koko's eyes widened and a maidenly blush crossed her cheeks. Beautiful! 'You are very kind, sir." she crooned, clearly pleased. "I knew you were of noble intentions the moment I saw you!"
Her gaze flitted back to the evil uncle in question however, who looked prepared to mar her at any given moment as he sinisterly picked his nails. With such an uncouth and malignant figure around, she had to make good her escape soon. "Do we wait for you to say go or somesuch thing before we set your excellent plan in motion, good sir? I am afraid I am an amateur at the art of cunning escapes." She gave him an apologetic smile.

Philly smiled as he set up another menu. "Yeah, sure. I'll say go when I'm ready." He nodded to the lady as he began putting up more of the menu screens. After he had them pretty much surrounding the two and the registar the teen looked to the girl and nodded. "Okay, GO!"
With that Philly peeked through the menus to give the illusion that he was looking for the 'evil uncle' and making sure that the girl was safe. Really he was watching the reflection in the napkin dispenser to see if she really did it.

As he said 'Go', Koko rushed over to the register, determined not to let him down. After all, he was being so very helpful, she'd feel horrible if she messed up his ever so clever plan! Waiting for the register to open, she ducked into it, pushing out some of the green paper with all her strength. Why was there so much of it? As an avid romance novel reader, Koko was used to reading about gold coins and such as money, dollar bills were foreign to her.
Finally though, she had pushed out enoug to hide, and just in time, for the register then shut, locking her in. She blinked, eyes getting used to the funny smelling paper that was still inside and the dark interior of her hiding place. Surely when the coast was clear, Philly would come to rescue her!
Meanwhile, it was getting a little hard to breathe...

Philly watched as the girl pulled out the money and climbed inside. He smiled and he did his best to fold the money so he could take it. It was really big to him, but he wanted to make sure no one knew what it was he was doing.
After he got it to where he could hid it behind his back the teen knocked down the menus. As he watched the 'evil uncle' got up to leave. Seeing that the girl had done so well he thought he'd take mercy on her.
He opened the registrar again and looked to her. "He's good Lady, I'm sure you will be fine now. I'm glad I was able to help!"

Koko nodded. "Why thank you kindly, good si-"
But the uncle was not the only one who was done. There was a tapping noise behind her and Koko looked up carefully. There was Lena, looking annoyed and eyeing the two Gogo like an inspector at a crime scene. "I know that you didn't mean it." she said to Koko. Koko could not rob a shop even if her life depended on it.
"As for you..." She could see the money behind Philly's back and gave him a look that could scare an avenging angel. "Just remember I'm an eyewitness. If you know what's good for you, you'll put it back, and you won't take advantage of poor, deluded girls."
"Young maidens." Koko insisted as Lena picked her up.
"Sure." said Lena. "Do what's right!" she called to Philly. "I'll be back."

Philly just narrowed his eyes as he put the money back. Why was there always someone else around? His cons had always worked so well on the mark only to be ruined by someone else. The teen knew he would have to find away to fix this. This was not working right.
"Have a nice day, Lady." Philly bowed to the girl as she was taken. He wouldn't drop his act...oh no that's not how he was. "I'd love to see you again." He also added. However he'd love to see her without her owner ruining it.
