kirrachan (2:26:59 PM): Pepper was finding himself bored more often than not at the facility. Luthor had been keeping to himself lately and ...Almas was a bit of a shut in himself. It left poor Pepper in a fix and this meant that he had to entertain himself. Normally that wasn't an issue, the red skinning demonic looking child normally had fun tormenting the technicians ..but today he was...just not in the mood. In fact he was sitting in his favorite tree, the same tree he had fallen out of when he was playing tag with Dane. He was monitoring the outside worlds activiites. Maybe someone could be entertaining to him.
AssimilatedUnaru (2:32:32 PM): Dane had been wanting to go and visit Pepper for some time now. He wanted to get the boy out of that facility, it was so boring there and there was so much more to do outside. However everytime Dane passed the facility it seemed Pepper wasn't around and Dane really didn't feel like going inside to try and get some technician to find him.

His trunks were purple and black, one of his first pairs. In his hands he held a plastic bag that had something that he'd bought for Pepper in it.

kirrachan (2:38:38 PM): Pepper's ears twitched as he heard footsteeps approaching. HIs gold eyes turned rivted on the person who so foolishly was approaching. Of course his eyes widened as he noticed it was Dane. A toothy smile spread across his face as he watched him approach. Once again donning a bathing suit. He had a bad with him this time, he wondered if there were more snacks in it.

"Hey there big ears." He called out from the tree. He chuckeled wondering if Dane would spot him, he felt rather proud to be hiding up there after all.

Dane recognized the voice as he made his way through the gates. Looking to where the voice had come from Dane had to tilt his head around until he could make Pepper out in the tree, "Bright eyes!" Dane said with a grin, "I almost didn't see you up there," He called walking up to the tree.
"Hey, come on down here I have something for you. But this time try not to fall," He said with a snerk as he held up the bag insinuating that it was for him.
kirrachan (2:46:04 PM): Pepper rolled his eyes as he sniggered at the comment.
"I'm on a bigger branch this time." He explained as he leaned forward looking Dane over wondering what exactly the green skinned one had brought him. His ears twitched and he then went about climibing down the tree to greet the older spawn.
"Something for me?" he inquired looking like an excited puppy may. His eyes were lit up with interest as he then poked at the bag and then circeled Dane before he wrapped his arms around him from behind and nommed on Dane's shoulder.
AssimilatedUnaru (2:50:06 PM): Dane laughed at Pepper's reaction and very unique greeting. He tried to reach behind him to give the boy a pat on the head as a greeting since he couldn't do much else with Pepper behind him.
"Yeah, I got you a pair of swim trunks," Dane said pulling out the pair of red and black aquawear that he'd gotten for pepper. It was smaller than Dane's he had guessed as best as he could with Pepper's size so he just went about a size or two smaller than his own, "You're cooped up in this place so much, I thought we could head on down to the beach and hang out,"
kirrachan (2:53:33 PM): His gold eyes fixated on the swimming trunks in mid chew. Releasing the boy's shoulder he reached a hand over to poke at the trunks with a clawed finger.
"Swimming....trunks?" he repeated, "What is it for? I have shorts on..." He mused looking a bit unsure of this development. He wasn't the biggest fan of clothes.
"Beach?" He echoed as he then released Dane and moved around to face him still looking a bit untrusting at the swim shorts.
AssimilatedUnaru (2:56:55 PM): "They're special shorts, for swimming," Dane said with a chuckle, "That's why I wear them a lot, cause I'm in the water a lot," He said handing the kid the trunks.
"Yeah the beach, I thought it would be fun to go hang out there, there's a really good one not far from here, I usually get a good spot all to myself there to set up the towel and crap, and there's good food stands too," Dane said pulling out one of the towels that was in the bag as well, it matched Pepper's trunks, "I got you a towel too," He said unfurling it to show him, "So you wanna go to the beach or what?"
kirrachan (2:59:56 PM): Pepper looked a bit unsure on this whole development. His gaze flickered to the building behind them both and then back to Dane he backed up a step before putting his hands behind his back as if he wanted to make sure he didnt hurt Dane.
"......I dunno. What does one do at the beach?" He inquired, he was fiarly top heavy and didnt know how to swim...though he didn't want to admit that to Dane.
AssimilatedUnaru (3:02:45 PM): "A lot of things," Dane said, "You can swim, wade in the water, look for weird things in the tide pools, get snacks from the food stands, build sand castles, hang out, all that stuff there's a lot to do at the beach," He explained, "Why is something wrong?" He asked raising an eyebrow at Pepper's peculiar behaviour. He thought Pepper would be glad to get away from the facility for a while.
kirrachan (3:06:38 PM): Pepper tried to look defiant though he mostly just felt bad and annoyed. He wasn't sure if HE was watching. Vampy was a man who ..scared him. Though he would never admit that outloud either. Though he felt his curiousity stirring, at the idea of building castles, he wasn't sure what sand was or tide pools. He felt kinda stupid.
"No." He barked and then snorted a bit trying to calm himself down.
"It..it just sounds boring." He lied.
AssimilatedUnaru (3:08:56 PM): Dane furrowed his eyebrows at Pepper's sudden change in disposition, "Boring?" Dane repeated surprised, "It's not boring really...I go to the beach almost every day, come on it'll be a lot of fun," He tried to reasure him, "Are you sure nothings wrong?" He asked looking at Pepper suspiciously but also a little worriedly. He had no idea what could be causing this reaction.
kirrachan (3:14:08 PM): Pepper was the type who's personality could change with a flick of a switch. Normally so energetic and happy right now he looked irritated and sullen. Brinking on anger though he was trying to stop himself from getting angry.
"Nothing...is wrong." he stated moving to fold his arms across his chest. Though....he looked back at the building his nostril flaring as he thought in the idea of being scared of Vampy. He looked over his shoulder at the gates of the facility and then back to Dane.
"You...live outside of this place..right?"
AssimilatedUnaru (3:16:32 PM): "Yeah, I live a mile or two away from here," He replied, "Why, did you want to go hang out at my house instead?" Dane asked. He thought there was something eating at Pepper, even though he didn't know what it could be. Dane decided not to push what was wrong though.
kirrachan (3:20:46 PM): Grumbling he shook his head, the idea of leaving had crossed his mind before...but... He turned around abruptly and then marched towards the gates. He stopped just before it shoving his hands into his pockets he looked up at the top of the gate and to the cement wall that surronded it. He then reached a clawed hand out to touch the cool wall. He then found a hand hold and quickly scurried up the wall. Perching on the flat yet narrow top he peered out and then over his shoulder to Dane.
AssimilatedUnaru (3:23:37 PM): Dane walked over to the gates and looked up at Pepper, "Is that how you always go about getting out?" Dane asked with a snerk as he made his own way back outside of the gates. Once on the other side he looked back up at Pepper, "Coming?" He asked trying to give Pepper the most reassuring smile he was capable of. He didn't know what the huge deal was, it was just the beach after all.
kirrachan (3:31:13 PM): Pepper watched as Dane passed through the gates. Nothing happened to him. He looked back over his shoulder and then back to Dane.
"No..." He responded slowly as he then tensed and then jumped down from the wall. He tensed as soon as he had landed as if expecting lighting to strike him...or Vampy himeslf to appear. When nothing happened he looked back up at the wall in astonishment. THen he smiled and jumped onto Dane giving him a fierce hug.
"OKAY LETS GO."
AssimilatedUnaru (3:34:55 PM): Dane stumbled back a bit from the pouncing hug but only shook his head laughing as he hugged the kid back, "Cool, it's not too far, maybe a twenty minute walk?" He pondered never really keeping track of the time. He released Pepper from the hug, "This way," The older boy said smiling as he started down the road slinging his arm around Pepper's shoulder careful of his boney structures.
kirrachan (3:39:50 PM): Pepper acted as if he had never been outside the walls before. He jumped a couple of steps to the side when he felt the air of a car moving past him. It made him jump everytime he heard a noise he wasn't familar with him. Though he wasnt scared more...jumpy and excited. He looked everywhere at once and basically clung to Dane as they walked. He pointed at random things demanding to know what they were. Twenty dizzing minutes passed as Pepper never once stopped talking.
AssimilatedUnaru (3:45:07 PM): Dane began to think of his brother as Pepper kept asking these questions. He wasn't particularly thrilled with playing twenty questions but he obliged to answer Pepper regardless. Dane didn't mind Pepper clinging to him, the boy was pretty laid back and didn't seem to let much bother him anymore, "You've...never left the facility before have you?" Dane asked as they approached the beach. He couldn't imagine why else he would ask so many questions otherwise.
"Well, we're coming up to the beach, there's a public restroom right over there," He said pointing towards a small brick structure, "You can change into your swim trunks there,"
kirrachan (3:48:31 PM): Pepper looked at the small cubicles and then down at the weird feeling sand below him. So...this was the beach.
"nope." He replied pretty simply as he then took the shorts from Dane looked at them appraisingly and then undid his own shorts and dropped them there began changing out inthe open right beside Dane. He didn't see the point of moving over a few feet just to get changed...what a waste of time.
AssimilatedUnaru (3:51:36 PM): Dane looked shocked as Pepper dropped his drawers where he stood, "Pepper! You're gonna get us both in trouble," The preteen quickly moved in front of the kid to block him from as many people's view as he could, though he couldn't stop himself from laughing. He was highly amused.
kirrachan (3:57:01 PM): Pepper looked up at Dane in the middle of his changing he half shrugged and then pulled his new shorts on. He then came up from behind Dane and nommed on him again. At least the shorts were comfertable, though he abandoned his own shorts on the ground. If he wasn't a kid one could of thought Pepper was emotionaly involved with Dane. He was rather touchy feely over him after all. He even went so far to half climb the boy to chew on his ear.
Once he figured he had shown Dane his 'appreciation' he dropped off of him and then looked around.
"Okay! Now what?" he demanded.
AssimilatedUnaru (4:01:35 PM): Dane shook his head as he grabbed the shorts that Pepper left on the ground, shoving them into the bag before Pepper started to chew on him shivering slightly and trying not to laugh as it tickled, "You sure do like to chew," Dane said chuckling as the boy finished and dropped back to the ground.
"Well we can do whatever you want, there's a lot of things to do," He said turning to Pepper to see if he had anything in mind.
kirrachan (4:06:59 PM): "WHAT IS THAT?!" He shouted in excitment as he tugged on Dane's shorts before suddenly bounding forward towards ocean waves. Of coures...he wasn't use to the sand and thus as soon as he started running the sand shifted under his feet and the fell forward and onto his face. he came back up sputtering and growling as sand coated his body.
"Oh frick..what the hell...is this stuff?" he cursed as he shook his head trying to get the sand out of his hair,.
AssimilatedUnaru (4:11:08 PM): Dane laughed clutching his sides as the boy went bounding into the sand, slipping and falling face first, "It's sand Pepper, the waves from the ocean beat on rocks until they break up into tiny tiny particles that's sand," He said helping the boy to his feet and brushing him off still snickering a little.
kirrachan (4:15:54 PM): Pepper was still vhemently spitting sand and trying to get the stuff off of him. Horrible stuff...it was getting inbetween the rock bits on his skin...and it ITCHED like crazy. He literally chewed on his arm and resulted in spitting out more sand.
"This stuff is horrible!" he groweled in annoyance. He then looked at Dane and with a twitching smirk pushed the boy over. Hell if he was going to be covered in sand...Dane should be too right?

AssimilatedUnaru (4:20:32 PM): Dane toppled over into the sand surprised, "Hey!" He called as he brushed some of the sand off of him before getting back up and tackling Pepper onto the sand, "Ahah!" He said triumphantly with a grin. He laughed a bit as he pinned Pepper onto the sand, "It's soft at least," He said with a snicker.
kirrachan (4:22:33 PM): Pepper's smiled grew two times larger at being tackeled back. His pupils dialiated as he used his hands to push back against Dane though he was super careful about his claws. He couldn't use his feet either as they were taloned as well. He tried to roll Dane, even though he was...bigger and heavier than Pepper that didn't seem to come to mind to Pepper.
AssimilatedUnaru (4:25:23 PM):

Dane nudged a bit but tried to keep firm to pinning Pepper to the sand. He had size on his side for one and laughing he said, "I got you pinned and there's nothing you can do about it," He said mocking an evil laugh as he grinned. He wrestled with Pepper's pushing to keep the boy pinned down.
kirrachan (4:32:02 PM): Pepper wasn't fond of being trapped irocnically since he didn't want to leave the facility because of that reason. Pepper tried to move but found he couldn't, and he didn't want to hurt Dane....cause headbutting was the next course of action he normally would of done. BUT he didn't want to crack skulls with Dane besides it often gave him a large headache. So he decided onthe next best thing...he suddenly lunged up and kissed him. Not a very well placed kiss...in fact he missed about half of the lips. But he then pulled on Dane's lower lip teasingly.
AssimilatedUnaru (4:36:17 PM): Dane blushed furiously as Pepper reached up to his lips. The older boy was stunned and disoriented. Which would make it easy for Pepper to roll Dane off of him now. The green skinned boy didn't know how to react, "W-W-What was that?" He stuttered shocked.
kirrachan (4:39:47 PM): As soon as he sensed the weakness he rolled pinning Dane to the sand in triupmh. He gave a woot as a cheer as he looked down at Dane with a innocent gaze and rather large smile.
"Element of surprise!" he chirped with a nod of his head. "bet you weren't expecting that." He continued with a nod of his head as he patted Dane's chest.
AssimilatedUnaru (4:45:08 PM): Dane oomphed as he was rolled over and pinned down, "Darn right I wasn't expecting that," Dane said still a little disoriented. He looked up at Pepper with furrowed eyebrows, Pepper was just a kid why was he going around kissing people. It was just weird, "Pepper you know you're not supposed to kiss some one unless you really really like them, it's like a thing couples do," He said realizing this was the second time that Pepper had kissed him, though the first was an accident. He laughed a little at the image of the boy going around kissing people just to surprise them.
kirrachan (4:51:35 PM): Pepper didn't really understand what Dane meant.
".....so....you don't like me?" he asked with a tilt of his head. He stared down at Dane wondering just what he meant by that. Unless you really really liked them? He liked Dane. A bunch! He liked Luthor...and Marieke...and kissed them too...well technically the kiss he gave to Luthor was for payment for his wish. He still didn't get that...but eh.

AssimilatedUnaru (4:53:54 PM): "No that's not what I mean Pepper," Dane said with a little bit of a chuckle, "I like you you're a fun kid," He said reassuring him, "It's just....kissing....ah screw it, you'll understand when you're older," He said figuring it was best not to bother trying to explain the birds and bees to some one so young, "So are you just going to stay on top of me all day or are we gonna go have some fun?" He asked.
kirrachan (4:56:51 PM): Pepper snorted and tossed his head with a laugh. Older huh? He wondered when he would understand kissing then. Until then he had the evil desire to kiss Dane again. Hell if he ran across Lit and Auryn again he'd be sure to kiss Auryn andprobably claw Lit's face off. Wiggling on top of Dane he laughed again and then moved in really close to Dane's face. Like...super close, you could feel Pepper's breath on his skin.
"Physc!" He gave a laugh as he rolled off of Dane and then like a puppy noticed the waves and bounded for them.
AssimilatedUnaru (5:03:34 PM): Dane pushed his head back into the sand as far as it would go as Pepper's face got closer. When Pepper bounded off towards the waves Dane rolled his eyes and shook his head. What a weird kid.
Getting himself up Dane watched as Pepper got closer to the ocean. Oh how he wanted to tackle him and get him nice and wet as payback. So...he did. Dane ran after Pepper and once he was close enough he jumped at the kid and knocked him into the wet sand where wave's washed over the beach. A moment after Dane tried pinning Pepper again a wave washed over them. When it receeded Dane looked down at Pepper, "HAH!" He said with a smug grin.
kirrachan (5:10:34 PM): Pepper looked like a drowned rat. Hair clinging to his face he blinked his eyes stung from the sea water that got into his eyes. AND IT WAS COLD. He was sinking into the sand and his shoulder bones were heavy. But his adrenaline was soaring and he went to push Dane off of him shreiks of laughter erupting from him as he splashed about.
AssimilatedUnaru (5:14:01 PM): Dane fell off of Pepper on the side with a bout of laughter. He waited for another wave and grabbed a twister of water from it. He had been practicing his spell almost daily and had become quite good at it, he figured sending a twister about the size of dane's forearm would be much more effective than a normal splash. Directing it at Pepper Dane sent the twister after him as it collided with the boy's chest and lost its form turning into normal water used to just dowse the kid.
"Hahaha, a lot better than splashing!" He said with a grin towards Pepper.
kirrachan (5:15:50 PM): Pepper coughed as he was suddenly hit by a twister of water. Backing up a couple of steps he slipped in the water as the sand shifted under his weight and he went down again with a spplooooosh. But instead of standing back up he ended up on his hands and knees, and then he charged forward tackling Dane rambontiously.
AssimilatedUnaru (5:20:08 PM): Dane flew backwards as he was tackled and pinned to the ground with an oopmf as the air escaped his lungs. Looking up at Pepper with a grin he started to laugh. He hadn't rough housed in...a long time, it was...fun, "So how do you like the beach?!" He asked excitedly. It looked like Pepper was having a good time but Dane wanted to hear it.
kirrachan (5:22:59 PM): "FUN." He called out as he then bent down and nommed on Dane's ear rather enthusiatically. He was glad he came to the beach. Even though later he would probably be itchy from salt water ans sand stuck on his skin right now he was having fun. Dane was fun. He missed doing stuff like this with Luthor and Mareike.
AssimilatedUnaru (5:30:35 PM): "Good," Dane said smiling and laughing as Pepper chewed on his ear. Dane was having a great time too and he felt that Pepper was a...pretty good friend. Aside from Lit Dane had met other kids but didn't really get along this well with many of them. Thinking about that Dane reached up and wrapped his arms around Pepper in a rather squishy hug. He was having a blast.
kirrachan (5:39:00 PM): Pepper at first tried to resist the hug as he thought that they were still playing but soon he noticed that Dane was hugging him in a different manner. He relaxed and stopped struggling released his ear and looked up to Dane in a confused manner. Was hugging along the same line as kissing? At first he was unsure of what to do with his own arms. Should he hug him back? He gave a bit of a small shrug and then hugged him tightly back. Kissing was suppose to be a no...so he chewed on him instead.
AssimilatedUnaru (5:42:47 PM): Dane laughed at Pepper's reaction. At first he was just hugging the boy to hug him...like a friend, but realizing he had him off guard now Dane used the opportunity to roll Pepper over and pin him down to the ground, "Element of surprise," He said with a smarmy grin. He laughed a bit as he kept Pepper pinned to the ground.
kirrachan (5:47:09 PM): Pepper found him suddenly pinned on the ground again. OHO is that how he was going to play that way huh? Element of surprise....he grinned as he Dane was playing dirty and so he may as well play dirty as well right? Giving a sly grin he reached his head up and licked Dane across the lips. He didn't know why it was the lips specifically that make kissing kissing..but eh.
AssimilatedUnaru (5:49:44 PM): Dane wasn't surprised when Pepper reached up, he expected him to try and kiss him but when he licked him on the lips that definitely did catch the preteen off guard. Being thrown off kilter again Dane would be easily rolled over and pinned down. It seemed Pepper kept finding ways of throwing the boy for a loop.
kirrachan (5:51:17 PM): He rolled though instead of sitting on him he scooted off of him and then headbutted him from the side, it wasn't a hard one but it was certianly one with some enthusiasm. He wasn't interested in keeping Dane pinned, it was more fun when dane would try and get him back.
AssimilatedUnaru (5:54:35 PM): Dane wasn't expecting the headbutt so it hit it's mark easily. The preteen got himself up after the provokation and after wiping the slobber off of his lips he went to try and tackle Pepper again. The surge of adrenaline felt good, though foreign, it was a nice change.
kirrachan (6:00:08 PM): Pepper backed up at Dane advanced this was so much more fun than back at the facility. He tried to look menacing though the huge grin on his face probably gave his intentions away. Even with his hand claws out he didnt want to hurt Dane. So he dodged the oncoming Dane and then pounced him.
AssimilatedUnaru (6:12:53 PM): Dane was about to swerve to try and get Pepper on the rebound, when he was pounced. The older kid went down trying to wrestle Pepper off to the side at least so he couldn't pin him. He laughed the whole while as the two rough housed.
kirrachan (6:19:13 PM): Pepper didn't want to stop but...he felt too hot...even in the ocean he felt too hot. Hot..sticky and covered in sand. His hair plastered to his head he managed to disengage himself from Dane and then drag himself towards the shoreline. HE hten promptly sat down looking tired and he felt his stomach gurgle. Hungry.
AssimilatedUnaru (6:21:32 PM): Dane watched as Pepper walked over to the shore line. A little exhausted himself Dane stood up and went to grab the bag he'd dropped a moment earlier. He brought it over to Pepper and fished his towel out offering it to the boy, "Here," He said panting a bit.
kirrachan (6:23:44 PM): Pepper shook his head trying to get the salt water out of his hair he looked blankly at the towel being handed to him before he took it...and then wondered what he was suppose to do with it.
"Im hungry..." he stated as he fiddeled with the towel a bit.
AssimilatedUnaru (6:25:49 PM): Dane looked at Pepper fiddeling with the towel astonished that he didn't know what to do, "Like this," He said taking the towel and rubbing down his hair for him, "Once you get dried off I'll go buy us something okay?" The preteen said taking his own towel to dry off.
kirrachan (6:28:33 PM): Pepper couldn't help but butt against Dane's hand when he felt his hand go to his head. There was something about having someone scratch his head that he just...adhored. He pouted a bit as he Dane left him with the towel and then he skulked after him and offered the towel to Dane again. Hoping he would jus tkeep drying him off.

Dane looked at Pepper offering him the towel, "Pepper, it's not that hard to dry yourself off," He said taking the towel and going to finish drying the boys hair and rub down his body to try and get his rough skin water and sand free.
kirrachan (6:36:03 PM): Pepper knew he could dry himself off but he enjoyed it more when Dane did it. It was easy to see that he enjoyed it when Dane rubbed his hair down. When done he looked at Dane in a hungry manner and tugged on his shorts. "So....what kind of food?" He smelt some wonderful things.
AssimilatedUnaru (6:40:26 PM): Dane rolled his eyes at Pepper as he realized he just wanted Dane to do it cause it felt good. He tossed the towel gently in Peppers face once he was done, "Well they have a lot of things here, there anything you want inparticular?" Dane asked walking with Pepper towards the little chain of food stands.
kirrachan (6:49:55 PM): Pepper hurriedly took the towel off his head and then followed eagerly.
"Something...cold." He muttered as he was overheating as it was. He noted...that Dane seemed bigger in the belly. Not that...that in itsself was a bad thing. In fact it made him curious.
"So Dane....we never did find out just how much you can eat at one time." He noted trying to sound non-chalant.
AssimilatedUnaru (6:53:19 PM): Dane laughed a bit, "Yeah, I guess not," He said not really picking up on the fact that Pepper seemed curious about how much he could eat. "We can get ice cream if you want something cold," He suggested seeing as there were ample ice cream booths, "But you dont like sweets do you?..." He pondered.
kirrachan (6:55:26 PM): He had never tried icecream, "If its not a cake or doughnut I will give it a go." He countered. He liked trying new things..and today was FULL of trying new things.
" 'sides I think it would be fun, bet I could eat one faster than you." He challanged.
AssimilatedUnaru (6:56:53 PM): Ever up for a challenge Dane retorted, "I doubt it," He said with a laugh as they came up to the stand, "So what flavor do you want?" He asked Pepper as they waited for the people in front of them to finish.
kirrachan (6:59:10 PM): Pepper was astounded, there were different flavors? With large eyes he looked over the stuff and then pointed to a white and red colored one. He had no idea what flavor it was he choose but it called to him.
"Pfft...you may be bigger than me but I can eat quickly too." he retorted.
AssimilatedUnaru (7:01:09 PM): Dane laughed a bit as he ordered his and Pepper's ice cream, "Pepper, eating is my thing, it's what I do," He said matter'of'factly, before laughing, "I betcha I'll be able to eat it quicker, no problem.
kirrachan (7:04:39 PM): Considering that Pepper had never eaten icecream before there was a rather good chance Dane was right. Pepepr took the icecream when it was offered and then he looked over Dane again.
"hehe...I will count to three....then we shall eat and see who eats the fastest."
AssimilatedUnaru (7:07:09 PM): Dane shrugged, "Alright, but you're going down," He said with a grin as he took his own ice cream and waited. It wouldn't be hard, the brain freeze was the only thing Dane was worried about
kirrachan (7:09:39 PM): Pepper grinned and posed with his own ieccream that had already started to melt.
"...1.........2................3!" he called out as he then bit into the icecream and his eyes went large. HOLY CRAP IT WAS COLD.
AssimilatedUnaru (7:14:49 PM): Dane grinned widely as Pepper bit his ice cream. The preteen put his mouth around the top part of the frozen creams cone and took about half of it off, swallowing as quickly as he could. It took him about two more slurps before he was able to just pop the cone in his mouth. It did not take him long at all to finish the ice cream, though when he was done he was holding his temples and cringing...brain freeze.
AssimilatedUnaru (7:20:58 PM): Dane laughed a bit as he watched Pepper try and hand over his ice cream, "Nah Pepper, you just went about it wrong," He said recovering from the brain freeze, "You lick it, you don't bite it, try it again its refreshing when you dont scarf it," He said with a chuckle.
kirrachan (7:25:50 PM): Pepper shook his head, he would rather Dane have it. It was sweet just like Dane had told him. He wasn;t sure if he could stomach it anyway. He then looked at the human manning the icecream cart...and wondered if he could just take the whole cart and treat Dane to the rest of it.
AssimilatedUnaru (7:29:34 PM): Dane shrugged and took the ice cream. He ate it fairly quickly but slowly enough not to give himself a brain freeze, "Well, there's a lot of other things here, anything else you want to eat instead?
The human looked at Pepper a little shocked. Pepper did have a rather peculiar appearance but so did most people on Gaia.
kirrachan (7:33:07 PM): Pepper sniffed the air around them, he then pointed to a hot dog stand. It smelt really good. Better than the icecream smell. It was meat afterall. For some strange reason Pepper liked it when Dane ate, it was neat to watch. Then again he supposed if Dane could fly he'd enjoy watching him do that too.
"Dane, did you enjoy the icecream?" he inquired.
AssimilatedUnaru (7:35:43 PM): "Yeah it was good," Dane said with a shrug, he thought pretty much any food was good.
"Alright then c'mon, I'll buy you a hotdog," Dane said with a nod toward that stand. He figured Pepper would probably enjoy that more. Though it was still strange, a kid who didn't like sweets.
kirrachan (7:37:20 PM): Pepper looked more excited as they moved towards the hotdog stand. Maybe when he was older he would get Dane a bunch of things to eat as a gift. He didnt know how one could enjoy icecream..it was cold..but it made his head hurt.
AssimilatedUnaru (7:39:12 PM): Dane ordered them a couple of hotdogs with all the fixings on them. He looked at his cash and realized he couldn't buy much else after this, "Hope you like this, I can't buy anything else after this. I'm broke," He said with a laugh handing Pepper his hot dog after the human gave them to him.
kirrachan (7:44:48 PM): Pepper looked at the money and then to Dane. They had to use this stuff to get food? Lame. He would wait until they ate more food then he would see about getting Dane more to eat. He looked around his eyes latching back onto the icecream vendor. His...was a movable stand. Briefly he thought on taking the food, he did that with the techs enough.
AssimilatedUnaru (7:46:26 PM): "Pepper, your hotdog," He said holding in front of him as the boy spaced out. Dane had already eaten half of his, "Now these things are really good, I bet you'll like this," He said with a grin.
kirrachan (7:52:13 PM): Pepper noticed that Dane had already half finished his hot dog. He took his own in hand it smelt...so good. He sniffed it again before he bit into it. Chewing thoughtfully as he then snarfed the rest of it down eagerly. It was...so good. HE chewed and swallowed and was catching up to Dane pretty quick
AssimilatedUnaru (7:53:40 PM): Dane had taken his time to enjoy the hotdog though he still finished it off very quickly. When he was done he licked his fingers and looked back over to Pepper, "Like these better huh?" He said with a laugh.
kirrachan (7:55:09 PM): Nodding his head he shoved the rest of his hotdog into his mouth and chewed. Yes...it was much better than the icecream. He noted Dane was done eating as he swallowed, "....are you still hungry?" He asked. Dane had eaten pretty quickly.
AssimilatedUnaru (7:56:36 PM): Dane laughed, "Yeah I guess, though I'm always kinda hungry," He admitted, "Don't have anymore money though so I'll just have to wait till I get home," He said with a shrug thinking it wasn't a big deal.
kirrachan (7:59:48 PM): Pepper looked back over to the icecream cart and then to Dane. He had no issues getting Dane food if he wanted it. He wasn't really away he should be doing this as he moved back over to the icecream cart put his hand on the handle and yanked it forward.
"HEY!" came a voice as the owner of the icecream cart went to stop the thing from moving forward. Pepper's eye's narrowed, his lips curling up in a snarl as he was being stopped.
AssimilatedUnaru (8:01:52 PM): Dane was surprised to say the least when Pepper went and tried to wheel the ice cream cart away, "Pepper no!" He said as he rushed after the younger boy and tried to tug him away from the cart, "I'm really sorry mister, he doesn't get out very often he doesn't know better," Dane said with a nervous laugh to the ice cream man as he continued to try and tug Pepper away from the cart.
kirrachan (8:06:23 PM): Pepper looked to Dane in surprise before casting a glower at the other older male.
"But...you siad you were hungry..." He protested trying to pull his arm away from Dane with a bit of resistance.
The icecream man nodded his head at Dane though he took his icecream cart and wheeled it a bit away.
AssimilatedUnaru (8:08:13 PM): "Pepper, you cant just go and take other peoples food out here. You could get into serious trouble doing that, they can call the cops then the cops will bring you back to the facility and probably b***h at the boss dude about what you did wrong and all that crap," He explained.
kirrachan (8:11:23 PM): Pepper growled as this was explained to him. "I can take 'em." He grumbeled though the mention of the cops ratting him out to 'the boss'. He shuffeled and kicked a foot out in annoyance and then sulked.
AssimilatedUnaru (8:15:10 PM): Dane ruffled Pepper's hair a bit, "Don't worry about it bright eyes, you didn't know," Dane said giving the other boy a smile, "Just don't take other people's stuff when you're out here okay?" Dane said putting a hand on Pepper's shoulder.
kirrachan (8:20:07 PM): Pepper snorted an nodded his head, atleast back home he could do basically whatever he wanted.
"Yeah.." he said as he turned back towards the beach looking out at the ocean. HE felt a bit....spent. The day had drained him...
"Why though? I can do it at home..."
AssimilatedUnaru (8:23:39 PM): "It's just...well they HAVE to let you back home, out here nobody wants you to take their stuff so...you can't," He said with a shrug, "But if you ever see something you want just let me know what it is and I'll buy it for you," He said with a smile, "C'mon now, you've had a pretty busy day, wanna get going?" He asked the younger boy.
kirrachan (8:29:10 PM): HE still didn't understand, but he did know he didn't want Dane buying him stuff all the time.
"yeah...sure." He replied a bit sullenly. He felt so...stupid. If he were bigger he could probably do what he wanted out here too.
AssimilatedUnaru (8:31:06 PM): "Alright buddy, c'mon," Dane said wrapping an arm around Pepper and taking the bag with the other as he led the boy away from the beach. He felt bad for Pepper, he was just trying to do something nice for him. Though Dane just wanted to make sure Pepper didn't get himself in trouble.
kirrachan (12:30:38 AM): Pepper didn't shrug off the hand as he didn't mind the touching. He wasn't much for going back, now that he had experienced some of the world beyond the cement walls. But...he was also comfortable in his domain.
"Hey....Dane...you've met your dad right?" he inquired after a while.
AssimilatedUnaru (12:32:36 AM): "My...dad?" Dane asked a little surprised, "My dad is at home...he cares for me and loves me," He said, "But...I'm guessing you mean the demon that helped make me?" He asked.
kirrachan (12:33:48 AM): Pepper nodded his head and while they walked he put his hands behind his head.
"Yeah. You've met both your parents right?" he pressed again sounding a bit thoughtful.
AssimilatedUnaru (12:35:17 AM): "Yeah...though I kinda wish I hadn't met Kerylia..." He said still holding disdain over the glutton demon, "Why?" Dane asked figuring there had to be some reason the boy was asking.
kirrachan (9:32:57 PM): Pepper mulled on it a bit as if pondering Dane's response. So he hadn't wanted to meet his father? Interesting. He shrugged, as hhe dropped his hands and held them at his sides.
"I dunno...just curious. I've never met my own." he replied trying to sound like it didn't bother him. "I mean Almas looks after me, but he isn't really my father...he is Luthors." He continued.
AssimilatedUnaru (9:36:54 PM): Dane peered over at Pepper, "What about the guy who takes care of you? Isn't he more of a dad than whatever's gene's you're made from?" He asked. He knew dominic was more of a father than those guys at the facility who supposedly helped make him. Other than giving DNA he didn't see much of an effort, "Trust me...meeting your biological donors isn't as big of a deal as you'd think," Dane reasured him as they approached the facility.
kirrachan (9:39:17 PM): Pepper considered what he said, he tilted his head and then licked his upper lip before he shook his head.
"I guess...but its not the same when it feels like the guy is only looking after you out of pity." He continued with a nod.
"At least I know I have a father out there somewhere..." He mused movnig to put his hands back behind his head. It was like he was fidgety just talking about the subject,
AssimilatedUnaru (9:42:34 PM): Dane didn't know how to respond to that. He couldn't imagine Dominic just taking care of him out of 'pity'. He felt sorry for Pepper. He didn't want to take away his perception of having a father, "Yeah...I'm sure he's out there somewhere," He repeated with a solemn nod.
kirrachan (9:44:40 PM): He peered at Dane out of the corner of his eyes he tried to not let it bother him. Though it was something he had been secretly obessed with...feeling as if he belonged. He wasn't sure why he had such a strong desire for it. But that nice lady had told him she knew his father...but Vampy had stopped her from saying much else about him. He wondered why his father wasn't at the facilty like the rest of the kids from there.
".....do..you think my father is dead?" he asked out of the blue.
AssimilatedUnaru (9:47:03 PM): Dane was thrown a little off guard. He wasn't sure what to say, "...Nah, I bet he was just able to escape this place," He said motioning to the facility as they came up to the gates, "He probably found some way to get free," He suggested.
kirrachan (9:51:15 PM): Pepper nodded ghis head hoping that was the case. Though now that they were back at the facility he wondered breifly if he really wanted to go back in there. Not that he got a choice as he spotted Vampy standing his hands behind his back just outside of the facility doors. He didn't have a pleasent expression on his face......Pepper balked at the gates wondering if it would be better to just turn and flee.
AssimilatedUnaru (9:53:18 PM): "Something wrong?" Dane asked as he looked toward the direction Pepper's gaze was in. He spotted Vampy and noticed he didn't look happy. He wondered if this was the guy that supposedly took care of Pepper. He really couldn't imagine him as much of a father figure.
kirrachan (9:56:00 PM): Vampy's own gold eyes fixated on the gates and he moved towards them a very slow and deliberate pace.
"Pepper...you know your not to leave the facility." Came his silky voice...though it seemed tinged with a cold intensity that caused Pepper's eyes to widen. He was lucky that he couldn't recal the tramatic experience of his 'birth' in which the silver haired man had attempted to kill him.
AssimilatedUnaru (9:59:26 PM): Dane glanced over to Pepper and saw how scared he looked. That was surprising, Dane hadn't seen Pepper scared before...it looked strange. He remembered the man from the visits to his genetic parents though, he looked...intimidating but he shouldn't go and scare Pepper, "Sorry Mr. Vampy, I just thought Pepper would like to go and see the beach. He seemed bored cooped up in here all the time," He said stepping a little closer to the boy. He didn't know why he got a chill down his spine when he spoke directly to the man. It was disturbing...but he held strong.
kirrachan (10:04:00 PM): Vampy's gaze went from Pepper to fixate on Dane. He appraised the pre-teen spawn a moment before he nodded his head.
"Though your efforts are noted I should be informed if Pepper is leaving the premisis." He firmly spoke to Dane as if scolding him; even though his tone didn't change. What was the big deal exactly? Why was it such a bad thing for Pepper to have left the grounds?
Pepper's ears twitched a bit, he looked to Dane who was sticking up for him and then back to the man he feared. He...didn't want Vampy to get mad at Dane; he'd seen what happened when the man got angry. He quickly moved in front of Dane, his lips curling back ni a growl.
"Not his fault."
AssimilatedUnaru (10:08:27 PM): Dane broke into a bit of a sweat even though conciously he wasn't scared something was telling him he should be. When Pepper stepped in front of him he was surprised, "Pepper it's okay...you didn't want to go in the first place I made you," He said not wanting the boy to get in trouble. Especially since he had to live here, "Sorry Mr. Vampy, I didn't think there was anything wrong with him leaving. He is a kid, he needs to get out and play more," He tried to explain, "No need to get upset with him," He said putting his hand on Pepper's shoulder and trying to stop him from growling at the man.
kirrachan (10:13:39 PM): Pepper's eyes locked with Vampy's and they stared at each other a long time before finally Pepper broke his gaze first. Maybe when he was older he could be more defiant but right now he was still just a kid...and vampy was a rather imposing man.
"Next time I would appreciate if you informed me..or stayed within the boundries of the labs." Vampy said in a strong manner.
Pepper flinched and then nodded his head.
"Yes sir." He mumbeled. Vampy nodded his head to Pepper and then he gave a rather strange look to Dane before he turned and headed back inside the facility.
AssimilatedUnaru (10:15:44 PM): "What's his problem?..." Dane mumbled to Pepper after the man walked back inside, "Hope I didn't get you into any big trouble..." He said feeling a little bad for Pepper's situation now. But wow...that guy really was weird, gave Dane the willies thinking about his eyes.
kirrachan (10:18:08 PM): Pepper released a large sigh having a suspicious feeling this wasn't the end of the conversation...and that Vampy just didn't want to involve Dane in it. He looked to Dane and forced a smile.
"Eh, I am sure he won't kill me." He replied sounding a bit hopeful for somethign that was suppose to be ajoke.
AssimilatedUnaru (10:23:20 PM): Dane seemed a little uneasy with the way Pepper put it, "Well...if anything ever turns rough...or you just can't take it, you've got a place to crash at my house if you ever need it," Dane said offering the boy a smile. He hoped that Pepper wouldn't get scolded too badly. He still felt responsible.
kirrachan (10:25:54 PM): Peppe shrugged and then tried to laugh it off. "Hey as they say what doesn't kill you makes you stronger right?" he replied a bit nervously. He felt awkward now...he didn't want dane to leave cause that meant he would have to face Vampy sooner than he would like. But he had no reason to keep him here either.
AssimilatedUnaru (10:28:39 PM): "You sure you're gonna be okay?" Dane asked looking at the boy a bit more seriously. He got such a creepy vibe off of Vampy he wasn't sure if it was safe to take Pepper brushing it off so lightly for surface value, "Like I said, you always have some place to go if you need to," Dane reiterated.
kirrachan (10:30:14 PM): Pepper shrugged his shoulder again. There was no piont in getting Dane upset. Sure he was scared but he didn't want Dane to worry either.
"Yeah I will be fine." He responded firmly.
AssimilatedUnaru (10:31:33 PM): "Alright then," He said with a nod fishing the towel he had bought for the boy out of the bag, "Here you can keep this too," He said handing it over along with his shorts from earlier, "I'll swing by tomorrow to hang out more if you want," Dane offered with a smile.
kirrachan (10:32:34 PM): Pepper wans't sure if that was a good idea. Vampy may ...be keeping a rather firm thumb over his actions he figured.
"Uh...yeah maybe." He responded licking his upper lip nervously.
AssimilatedUnaru (10:35:44 PM): "If you don't want me to come I understand," He said a bit sullenly, " I mean I bet I got you into some premo trouble...don't mean to go causing anymore for you," He said with a bit of a nervous laugh.
kirrachan (10:37:43 PM): Pepper looked to Dane his gaze rather intently on him. He then moved over and wrapped his arms around Dane and nuzzeled his face into his shoulder before biting it.
"Dont worry I will see you eventually." He managed after a bit of friendly biting.
AssimilatedUnaru (10:41:33 PM): Dane was a bit surprised by the sudden hug though it wasn't long before he hugged the boy back. By now he realized Pepper's biting was a little different than when Dane used to do it, it was kind of how Pepper showed affection, where as Dane just wanted to taste things. He picked up on that now.
He was almost tempted to encourage Pepper to run away. But he remembered that he was still just a kid, and encouraging him to run away probably wasn't the best idea, "Alright Pepper...I'll be sure to come and see you soon then. Even if Vampy wont let you outside, I'll come in and find you," He said with a grin.
kirrachan (10:42:55 PM): He liked the idea, the idea of someone still wanting to be with him despite the fact he lived there.
"Sure. I look forward to it." He murmured and then he laughed giving Dane one last n** before he released him and then taking the towel he looked back to the facilty and sighed.
"Guess I better go face the music."
AssimilatedUnaru (10:45:11 PM): "Just remember what I said...and try not to let him get you down too much, alright?" Dane said patting the kid on the shoulder, "I'll talk to you later though, good luck," Dane said flashing him one last smile before he turned around to head back home.
