The auburn female stretched with a great toothy yawn as she stepped out into the dappled sunlight that filtered through the tree tops. Her golden eyes looked up to the sky and listened to the bird song that floated around her. Shaking herself to loosen her stiff muscles from a cramped sleep in an old badgers nest she made her way off looking for breakfast, even a few ripe berries would do her good as far as she was concerned.
Rich brown paws padded over the earth grass tickling her paws as she went. The air was rich after the heavy rain from the night before and the air was thick with the scent of the rain. She loved this, it cooled down the heated temperatures that plagued her. She was from the more northern areas were it was often cool and didn't get as hot, but she figured at least in time she would adjust to the warmer weather at the very least.

THe male had been rather withdrawn as a pup, but as he aged he had stepped out of his comfort zone. He was a bit of an inverted soul, though he had become quite open with each passing day. His paws carried him across the earth.
He had woken before sunset today, to get good ground covered before the heat of the day. But now the heat had caught up with him, and he was looking for a water source.
His nose danced along the ground, sniffing out for anything that might be something to quench his thirst.
The sun was heating his ebony pelt and he was beginning to pant.
He had traveled quite a distance today out from his pride lands. He had wanted to get to know things outside the lands. After all, it was time to break away from mother and father.
He'd stay in the pack, oh yes nothing could pull him from the lands he had been raised in. But he wanted a little freedom after all.
His ears perked when his nose lifted from the earth. He smelled..something, though it wasnt the water he had hoped for.

Kearith licked her nose, sneezing after nipping at a sour berry. The sour ones were quite bad compared to the plump sweet ones she had been picking of of the bushes. He pink tongue bright in comparison to the rest of her body.
With her senses cleared of the bitter berry a strange scent floated to Kear on the breeze, another wolf? All this time of traveling and barely seeing another and her she seemed to bumping into others left and right, but again she worried about pressing on pack lands. The last thing she needed was trouble when all she was doing was passing through. She sniffed at the scent again, no, it was younger, or at least the wolf in question was; younger than her at least.
She followed the scent unable to deny her terrible curiosity. Her tail raised high in the air giving a faint wave back and forth, nose to the ground and lifting it to catch the scent hopefully on the wind again. One of these days her curiosity would get the better of her. Like her mother you used to tell her; 'Curiosity killed the cat, made a fool of the Wolf and gave the fox a good laugh.' Kear chuckled at her mother's mantra and continued forward.

His thirst could wait. He was more interested in the scent at hand than anything else at the moment. He walked forward, his nose upon the earth as he moved. He was going to find the other wolf.. He didnt even know why he wanted to see it so badly.. But he couldnt deny his instincts.
He walked for awhile, before she came into view. A beautiful shewolf that was colored red like the color of the deepest sunset. Her pelt was graced with what looked like firefly kisses. It made him smile. But her golden eyes caught his own golden orbs, and he halted midstep, his breath hesitating. She might have been the prettiest wolf he had ever seen.
But then he wondered if he might have wandered into her territory. It didnt smell like her, so he relaxed a bit, and offered a kind smile.
"Good day!" He smiled in greeting.

Kearith tilted her head at the young male, his contrasted colors of black and orange. He almost looked like he had feathers with the way his pelt mimicked the markings of owls that drifted through the night with their haunting songs.
She smiled back at him, no, the ares she was in didn't smell like him, but he also smelled of many others, he had to belong to a pack. "Good day to use as well." she answered looking around her ears perked. "I am not trespassing on pack lands am I?" she asked, she needed to make sure, she didn't want trouble, but the young male didn't seem like a threat. In fact he seemed friendly.
Sitting back on her haunches she waved her tail a little. "My name is Kearith." she said remembering her manners.

"You're quite a bit away from packlands, doll." He replied, smiling and walking closer to her, tail wagging. He was a friendly wolf, destined to forever be the overtrusting fool that no one had ever expected him to be.
He plopped to a sit in front of her, cocking his head as she spoke. He wasnt sure where the owl like markings had come from.. But he supposed it was something to be proud of. It was his after all. The orange in his pelt was testiment to the true line he carried in his blood. He was Agua Azul, he was a Wazaam descendant.
"My name is Tada! What may I call you?" He asked, the wind blowing a little, fluffing his pelt.

Kearith sneezed a laugh at being called 'doll' but shrugged it off as the younger male trying to be cute. "Well it's good to know. Last thing I need it trouble when I'm way out of my comfort zone around here." she said looking around at the lush green foliage around her.
He was a funny thing, the way he just seemed to sit there and hang on her every word, there was nothing that interesting about her. Sure her pelt was a little thicker, her size was larger than usual, but that was about it. She was from the other side of the mountains she was bound to be vastly different and used to different things from the wolves around here, especially the weather.
"Tada!..." she rolled it on her tongue for a moment. A very different name, that was for sure. It almost made her want to question it, but figured it was more than likely best not to do so. "You can just call me Kear if you like, that's what I'm most used to." she shrugged.

He wanted to back away, and maybe leave her be. He seemed to be a little off in the ways of ladies.. He had never been socialized outside his pack. He wasnt sure how he was expected to behave.
He offered her a smile though, as nice as he could muster.
"Its a pleasure to meet you. And I agree, at first I was nervous that maybe you owned these lands, and I was the one who intruded." He chuckled. Though he was young, his voice was deepening into that of the adult that he would soon be.
He lived in the dense woods, and had no need for a thick luxurious pelt. He had a soft pelt, but it was thinner, leaving it more cool for summer.
"Your name is very pretty." He said honestly.

She could feel his slight tension and nervousness, she couldn't see why...was it her size maybe? She was a littler larger than your average female, and he was still a youth, he was certainly nearing adulthood.
Kear smiled in return, she wasn't one to be rude and he seemed nice enough it was, so what should there be for her to worry about from the young male.
"No, the pleasure is mine Tada!" she sneezed with laughter. There really was no need for formalities as far as she was concerned but it would only using proper manners to do so.
Smiling Kearith thought over her name a little, she didn't know what it meant and she half thought her parents had just made up the name. "Thank you, I have to say yours is quite interesting as well."

His name had followed his blood line. His grandfather was Wazaam, his mother was Shezaam and the name had just seemed to follow him. His mother had wanted so badly one of her pups to be named after her line. Her other two sons had been named after chocolates, and in turn, were named after his father.
"Thanks! Its a line thing.. My grandfather is alpha of Agua Azul, and my mother is the heir to the title." He said, nodding a bit with a little smile. He was proud of his heritage, though is grandmother had turned the pack into something that was completely full of itself. They walked a thin line with her everyday of their lives..She was a b***h, and they all knew it.
He wagged his tail, his golden orbs gleaming. He was a gentleman, though he bore the rough and tumble attitude his mother had carried as a young wolf. He was a fighter, and a lover. Though, he didnt know what love was, he was sure one day he'd find it.

"Ahh, family lineage is important." he said nodding more rather to herself. She didn't think there was any sort of 'tradition' in that sort of manner through her own family.
"You must have a very high rank within your pack already then." She was slightly amazed, directly related to the Alpha of his pack, then his moth was to take over...goodness. At least meeting him could be of a benefit to her, she was likely to be safe to wander this area.
She was curious as to how old the younger wolf was, He wasn't too young, but he wasn't too old either. "How many moons are you?" she questioned tilting her head. Most females would never reveal their age, but she could have cared less, she looked good for her age, not too old and not too young.

His mother was kinder than his grandmother, and he knew she'd change the pack for the better. He wagged his tail at her words and shook his head. He was to be nothing but gamma in the pack in his adult seasons. He was going to be a proud gamma though.. He was proud to have the family he did.
"Oh Im of no special rank. But I appreciate you thinking so." He chuckled, wagging his tail a bit. He was a teen, but he had the deep voice of an adult.. as if his body had not aged as fast as his voice.
"Im almost a year in moons..Is what Im told." He answered, grinning. He didnt know how many moons that was, but he was old in his own mind.
He didn't want to ask her age, it was rude and that was not him. He did however wonder about her.. She was gorgeous, she was kind, and she was perfect it seemed.
He felt that if she was much older than a year, there was no way she'd see him as more than a teen.. He had the feelings, the heart of an adult.. But he shrugged it off. He would try anyway.. if she didn't like him, then that was fine.. But Mother had always said he'd know when he found someone he really liked. And he was sure he had.
"Do you like to go on walks?" He offered.

She smiled, "Oh whatever rank you will hold, you will hold it well I am sure." she said licking her her nose which felt dry to her. She didn't know why, it must've been the hot weather.
"Sounds about right, I would guess about 12 moons then, a full year is 13 moons." she said, thinking over what her father had taught her. She learned to watch the moon and seasons phases, which to play the most attention to. He'd been a wonderful hunter, he always got the catch he set out to get, she only hoped she had inherited his good hunting skills.
"A walk sounds nice, I'm sure you know these areas a fair bit better than I'll ever figure out." she laughed at herself. He would be a wonderful guide and maybe even they could find a good meal together, she wasn't sure of his hunting skills just yet.

His parents had never taught him moon cycles. What he knew, he knew himself. But he didnt know much about it. He judged time by days, and those were alot of days to remember.
"Well thank you, thats appreciated." He said, smiling at her, and giving her a wink. He wanted to be respectful, he wanted to make her comfortable with him.
"That many moons? Thats pretty cool." He replied, and taking a mental note of how many moons were in a year. After all, he'd need that one day, he was sure.
"I know them like the back of my paw.. But I could teach you to know them well." He answered, his voice soft as he said that. He looked back up, and flicked an ear which a fly had decided to land on.
He was a good hunter, usually ending up one of the first to land his teeth into the prey out of his siblings.. But his siblings werent hunters, they were more.. philosophical and closed.. He supposed that was a trait from his father.
"Its good to have someone to talk with." He said, and stood, walking a bit ahead of her and looking back, wagging his tail.
"Cmon! Lets have some fun."

She nodded at the talk of the moons within a year. She paid close attention, that was just was she did. She missed her family, but knew there wasn't much she could do since it had been her decision to leave and explore what was outside of her packlands.
"Then I am in the paws of an expert!" she laughed with a warm smile. "That would be quite helpful as I think I'll stick around for a while, at least until the leaf changes begin when the weather cools down enough.
"Yes, I agree, it's been quite lonely just chatting with myself so far in my traveling, you can only have so much to talk about." she sighed shaking her head in spite of herself. The conversation was nice, lord knows she needed it.
Laughing Kearith bounded after him, though she was a good bit older than the young male she still had the energy and heart of one half her age, not to say she was old that is. "So where to first?"
