She had work to do. She had to get things done before the big dead season came and everything died away. She then would have no healing supplies. This frightened Ana, she needed her supplies. Without them, she could fall ill to sickness or starve or worse. She was busy running around her den sight, her otterskin bag lay lifelessly at the entrance of her home. She didn't want to dirty it up with her running around. She had her stick drying racks up outside and around her den, holding different plants and roots as they dried.

She was busy digging up a rather narly root, her paws making quick work of the dirt. This root was good for upset stomach and she was running low since that serval came by. She lowered her head to chew at the plant.

User Image Ekevu was happily moving over the grounds, sniffing around while looking for something to happen. The past couple of weeks had been blurry. Boring. Very much the same all the time. There had to be something more entertaining to do with his time. As he moved, he couldn’t help but remember all the dreams he had let slip by.

There had to be more for him to do with his life.

Not knowing where he was, he soon discovered himself around some dens. There was an odd creature lying on one of the rocks. He sniffed it carefully, having never seen an animal like it before. Not alive.

Ears perking quickly, he soon saw another wild dog. A female. “Oh!” he yelped, “I’m sorry! Is this your home?!”

Ana did not notice the stranger coming into her midst. She was to busy with that root, tugging and straining. She wasn't going to give up on it, she needed this root. She needed to restock all her supplies. It was going to be a bad season for plants. She leaned down to pull one more time on the root when a voice rang out. She lifted her blue head, her odd eyes wide and starting at the stranger.

Her eyes went from him to her otterskin pouch. The source of her life power. She took a step forward, not looking afraid or alarmed. "Yes. Dis is moi home. Anastasia's home." She said, her fractured speech pretty clear. "Didn't notice you approachin'" She said honestly, walking towards him with a bounce in her step. "Yous lost or hurt?"

Ekevu tilted his head to one side, keeping his ears forward as he listened to her speak. Well that was a voice he hadn’t been expecting. He wasn’t sure what to make of it, really. It was… interesting. Smiling, the boy did his best to look happy, not as confused as he knew he was.

It was hard not to look like something he was so naturally good at.

“I’m not lost, no! Nor hurt. I mean, my muscles are a little sore, but that’s about it. I’m just wandering around trying to find something to do. Uh… what are you doing?”

She listened to his words and went inside her den for a moment, which did not appear to be so deep at first-but she was gone for a while so it must have been deep. She came back out with a mouthful of leaves and sent them down beside him and looked up expectantly. "Make muscles better!" She said simply, before bouncing back over to the root and digging at it more.

"Collecting. Season of dead leaves almost here! Need supplies! Collecting leaves. Roots. Sticks. Things Ana needs!" She said, looking up with a coy smile. She liked company. She liked company that didn't need a lot of tending to. The serval she healed recently had been torn badly all over his face and leg. An easy fix made Ana happy indeed.

For a moment, the wild dog thought he had been abandoned. Then, she re-emerged as if she hadn’t left him standing there at all.

Odd.

Ekevu blinked, looking down at the leaves. Was he supposed to eat them? Or… rub his body on them? He really was that sure, but he bent his head down anyway, just sniffing at them for now. “Thank you…?” he said awkwardly.

“Oh… I see. You want some help with that? Are you, like, a collector or something?” For the life of him, he couldn’t figure out why she would need stick and roots.

She chuckled and nodded her head at the leaves. "Eat!" She said with a smile, before digging a bit more at the root and twisting her face up into a frustrated glare. "Need for healing. Ana healer!" She said proudly, her anger now replaced with a smile. Her blue tail wagged happily. "Yes.. help!"

She lowered her head too the root. "Need!" she said, glaring at the root with her odd eyes. "Help get root then eat leaves! Make muscles better!"

The more she spoke, the more he grew happy to hear it- she had an interesting, almost primitive way of speaking and it was quite entertaining. Not in a ‘haha, I’m totally mocking you’ kind of way, of course. She was struggling with some kind of root. He would have to see if he could help tug that out for her.

With all his rippling muscles.

Yeah.

Moving forward, leaving the leaves for the moment as ordered, he moved over to the root, sniffing at it a moment before taking hold of the root in his teeth and giving it a firm tug. Then another. With a growl and a moment to brace himself better, he tried a third time, twisting his head about in an attempt to dislodge the root; break it free from the ground. In the end, it worked, sending him falling backwards over himself once the root broke away.

Ana stood back and watched with her head low and tail wagging. She didn't say anything but it was apparent by the look on her face that she appreciated the help. She would use any help at this time of season. Without help she would surely not survive the winter-in her mind. She was sort of a paranoid dog, always worrying.

She went from the root that he was working on and headed over to a bush, where she started to pull leaves from the branches with her teeth and set them at her paws.
