How hard do you think it would be to make a site similar to that of gaiaonline.com and soliaonline.com and kinsaki.com?

Not sure about the other two but it seems like there is a lot involved in this website.

Do you think it would be tough to create a site like it though?

I don't know enough about coding and stuff. I was here in the early days when the servers crashed a lot. I know things have changed a lot since then.

i'd imagine it'd be pretty hard to create one like gaia, partly due to the background stories, the art, the avatar system, the forum management etc. plus you'd probly not be able to outsource the server stuff you'd probly have to own your own server system to do it. which i've seen first hand and it can be a pain in it's self.

Also, I'd imagine that it would take quite some time to make the site profitable.

Id say yes (my brother works on websites for a living) severs and the coding are pretty hard to sort out. Also making it popular and making any money would be hard.

I can imagine it would be difficult and expensive. That's probably why they push the CS stuff so hard. Then you have to find coders, artists, ways to advertise your site. It's probably much like starting your own business.
