Hi! This is my 첫번째 lesson~ whee~
You probably know how to say hi in Korean - 안녕 or 안녕하세요. So, for the first lesson, let's learn some very simple sentences expressing your feelings.
I am hungry 나는 배고프다
-> NaNoon BaeGoPooDa.
In this sentence, 나는 means I (am). However, 는 can be removed in a casual conversation. 나는 can be abbreviated to 난. And 배고프다 means hungry.
So, 나는 배고파, 나 배고파 and 난 배고파 actually have the same meaning.
-> NaNoon BaeGoPa, Na BaeGoPa, Nan BaeGoPa
You can applying this pattern to other cases,
I am sad 나는/나/난 슬프다 SoolPooDa I am happy 나는/나/난 행복하다 HaengBokHaDa I am thirsty 나는/나/난 목마르다 MokMaRooDa I am tired 나는/나/난 피곤하다 PeeGonHaDa I am sick 나는/나/난 아프다 AhPooDa I am joyful 나는/나/난 즐겁다 JoolGupDa I am lonely 나는/나/난 쓸쓸하다 SoolSoolHaDa I am nervous 나는/나/난 떨린다 D(accented)ullReenDa
However, there are (of course) some exceptions like,
I am angry 나는/나/난 화났어 HwaNattSeo
Literally translating, 화났어 would be 'I got angry' 화나 can be used too, but this expression is awkward and rarely used.
___________________________________________________________♬
There will be another Korean lesson concerning simple grammar biggrin And I'll post another lesson on expressing your feelings. 첫번째 means First. hehe I hope this lesson could help you heart Please leave comments for any questions/suggestions!! ____________________________________________________________
Pronunciation included!

I have a hopefully simple request.
Could you show how to pronounce the words when you're making these tuturials... For example: 안녕하세요 - annyoung haseyo
I really have to work on my pronunciation, and if it's not too much work, I would greatly appreciate this. ^^
