The day was quite cool, but it was only morning. The sun had not warmed the earth. She gave a yawn. She had been up for a while, but it wasn't time to sleep yet. She needed a meal first, then she was to sleep.
She trotted away from her tree slowly. She didn't like traveling away from the tree. It was nerve-wrecking. What if Mauja came back while she was gone! But she didn't want to starve either. She gave a sigh and ran she started off to find food.

It seemed that Tamu had been wandering further and further from his family. He didn't feel as comfortable there as he used to when he was younger, and only spent time with his sister, Jini.
He adored going out and playing. There was nothing in this world that he liked more. His alone time let him think about things-- about his future, mainly.

Nafsi gave a yawn, glancing around the flat land and tasting the air. It was strange, it was. She wished the food would come to her for once. She wasn't terribly hungry, but she still wanted to eat. "Foood, come herrreee," She whined. She normally never whined, but she just didn't feel like hunting.

Tamu's ears perked when he heard the sound of someone else. He was excited, to see another creature. While he hoped it wasn't a girl, it really didn't matter either way.
Bounding over towards the sound, he quickly spotted its maker. A tan lioness. Poop.
"Hello there!" the only thing he hoped for now is that she didn't view him as food.

She blinking at the light-colored little creature. "I really hope your mother didn't name you Food," She comented, but smiled. "Aww, you're cute," somehow, she knew this was a 'strange creature'... a Mauja. Yes, twas a mauja. That's what they would be, as she didn't know the actual name of what he was.
She gave a smile. "Hello!"
She knew she was a little out there - she hoped she didn't scare away the pups. She like maujas, they were adorable.

Tamu beamed with happiness. "No way!" he came in close, a smile spreading across his face. "My name is Tamu." He spun around in a circle, happy at the sound of his own name. It matched him perfectly, and he just knew that the name had always been destined just for him.
"What's your name?" Tamu had never seen someone like this. To him, she looked like a fat and squatty cheetah. It wasn't a totally bad thing.

She smiled at the small energetic cub. It was amusing, actually. She resisted the urge to nuzzle the small thing and hold it close. "I'm Nafsiumiza, but call me Nafsi. My whole name is a mouthful," She commented. She liked her name. It fit her as well, but no one really needed to know that.

"Nafsi." Tamu chomped at the air, puffing his cheeks out like he was eating some large animal. "I don't think it's that big." he stuck his chest out to show his bravery.
"Whyyyy are you all alone?" he wiggled around, pretending to be a fish he'd seen once.

She chuckled at the cubs antics. "Well, if you put it like that, then I suppose it's not," she smile kindly. He was so adorable - it made her want cubs all the more.
"I'm alone because Mauja's not here," she said logically, as if it made sense to the world.

"Mauja? Is he your boooyfriend??" Tamu felt smug for saying such a thing. He, himself was far too young to have a special someone, so the concept seemed all the more funny to him. Saying the word 'boyfriend' made him dance with shivers, though he was happy that he could talk to this girl like this.

Nafsi gave a small chuckle. "He is..." She didnt want to say 'my Master'. ".. my mate," She nodded in affermative. The childlike teasing was amusing though, even for her. "So in essense," She winked. "he is my 'boyfriend'."

Tamu's face stretched, facilitating the now rather large 'o' that his mouth had made. It seemed like they were talking about 'bad' things that only adults talked about, and it made him all the more excited. "So gross." his lips were sucked in, a smug look on his face. To him, girls still had 'cooties.'

The lioness gave a chuckle. "I'm sure it is," she shook her head. "You're very far out for being so young. I haven't seen one of you since Mauja," she told him. And she knew this wasn't a Mauja baby. She honestly didn't know much about Mauja, except that he was always right. "Besides, it's getting rather late." And she was still hungry.

"I guess so..." Tamu's face dropped. He didn't want to leave, but he just knew that his sisters were waiting for him, there with his mother. It was hard being the only boy in the family. In his entire family, there were no fathers. He had an uncle, however, that was his age. "I hope you don't give him cooties." his face was still smug.
Turning away, he started to trott off, his tail flicking back and forth in the air. "Bye!"
