 They had eaten well in the morning, once Belle woke, and now...now it was mid-afternoon. And Dovev believed it time to take Belle to meet Mioyo, and see if Belle liked the pride. He hoped so. It was a perfect place to keep her safe. And so he'd guided her to the place where he said he would meet Mioyo.
"Remember your manners, Belle. Miss Mioyo is the leader of the pride. Don't be nervous though. She's very nice. And there's a good kindness to her." He gave his charge a smile, one of the ones that reached his eyes.

Belle smiled up at her large protector, her deep orange eyes smiling lightly, she settled on one of his paws and nodded "Yes dovev" She whispers, feeling a bit nervous that she was about to meet someone very important who would undoubtedly change the course of the way her life had been going so far.
"She'll like me won't she dovev?" She whispers nuzzling in to one of his large legs quietly.

Mioyo padded toward the agreed spot carefully, looking about for Dovev carefully. Spying the male, she smiled warmly, coming towards them. A spot of orange on his paws, and she looked, smiling wider. His cub! She gave the small one a gentle smile as she neared, bowing to booth.
"Good afternoon!" She spoke softly, as not to frighten Belle. "It's good to see you agsin Dovev!"

Dovev nodded at Belle. "I am certain she will. It's hard to not like you, dear one." He gave her a gentle lick on the top of her head, then turned his attention to the red lioness as she approached.
"And you as well, Mioyo!" He bowed his head in respect. "This is my charge, Belle. Belle, this is Mioyo, leader of the Matembezi'wasakaji."

Blinking up owlishly at the red lioness, she smiles shyly. "Hullo" She whispers pressing herself closer to Dovev, her nose turning to snuggle in to her protector "is she a lion Dovev?" She asks in a whisper which can clearly be heard, though is was supposed to be a secretive thing to dovev.

Mioyo smiled to Dovev again, and lay down to Belle's level, stretching one velveted paw towards the young Leopardess.
"It's nice to met you, Belle. How do you do?" The lioness asked, gently. There was a friendly twinkle in her eyes, and she didn't stop her smile. The cub was adorable-- she could only hope to keep her as safe as possible.

Dovev chuckled and nodded and Belle's question. "A very nice lion." He was glad that Mioyo was being so patient with the cub...After all, Dovev had kept Belle mostly away from others. But now, that would change. He would make sure it was a slow process, so Belle wouldn't get overwhelmed...
And this was a good start.

Peering shyly at Mioyo she smiles half heartedly reaching out one of her tiny paws to touch the lionesses. "You promise you won't hurt Dovev?" she whispers her tiny ears flattened against her head and her wide dark eyes looking perfectly serious.
"I wouldn't be happy if Dovev got eated or hurted." She whispers snuggling back in to Dovevs leg.

"I wouldn't dream of hurting him. We don't hurt friends here." Mioyo offered a kind smile again, wiggling her toes playfully when the leopardess' cub touched her own.
Behind the red lioness a small leopardess cub of orange, light, and dark brown spitting with stripes crept along, tail switching. Mioyo was sneaking off, and the cub wanted to know were. Seeing her laying, Upenzi lay still, eyes narrow as she sniffed. All one could see was her nose poking out. Twitching.

Dovev was happy at the interaction between Mioyo and Belle, and kept down a chuckle at the thought of him being eaten. And then he noticed the nose. He raised a brow, but didn't move. Strange...what little one had followed Mioyo out?

The little leopard cub smiled lightly, maybe the pretty lioness was telling the truth, she hoped so, she didn't ant Dovev to get hurt on her account.
Belle peered around Mioyo and blinked quietly. "who's there?" She whispers bunching in to Dovev again, protecting his leg from the new intruder.

Mioyo blinked, looking over her shoulder at the nose, frowning a moment before it disappeared, making the poorest imitation of a bird she'd ever heard. One ear flicked back, and she sighed.
"Upenzi, come out, please."
The nose returned first, before the spotted head and green eyes, and the cub seemed to size the male up first, before spotting Belle. Slowly, she padded out, moving slowly and cautiously.
"Yes, Mioyo."
The leopardess dove behind her, huddling as she eyed Dovev. Who was THAT?

Upenzi? Dovev watched as the leopard cub came out...and then huddled behind Mioyo. He tried to give a reassuring smile. "I won't hurt you, little one." Dovev wasn't the sort to hurt a cub anyways. They were precious...more precious than any pretty gem, or his life.

"Upenzi?" Belle whispered trying to catch a true look at the cub, she blinked quietly "Upenzi!" she squeeked stepping off dovevs paw and bouncing "Dovev! Dovev! I has a sister, that one." She points a paw and looks at her big green protector owlishly "Is mama and papa here?" she shivers nervously shrinking in to a little ball and backing up to the safety of Dovevs paws "I losted them Dovev but thats one of them." she whispers peering around the big green legs to look at her lost sibling.

Upenzi's ears pricked, and she padded over to Belle happily, sitting.
"Mommy? Daddy? Nuh uh. Don't know where they are." Upenzi fluffed out her chest proudly. "I followed a lioness here all by myself!"
She seemed proud of herself, before assuming a playful position. Mioyo chuckled, looking to Dovev.
"Upenzi ah... Followed my daughter home one day." Mioyo looked sheepish.
