Kampfer was out by the lake, her feet dangling in the water as she looked over it's smooth glossy surface. She looked down at her reflection with a smile, her hair looked good longer, she thought at least. Kicking her feet and watching the ripples she wondered whether Yami would like her hair long or not. It was true that she had not seen him for quite some time, but she figured they were just int he wrong places at the wrong time. Next time she saw him she would invite him to come and live with her in the little cottage she had made in the woods.
This fox was fine on her own, she had been that way for as long as she could remember before Yami had come into her life. And even though she loved Yami, she still felt that life had to go on without him, partly because that is what he would want of her. That did not mean that she didn't miss him though. Tears welled up at the corners of her eyes as she thought of him. "I will see you again my love," she said quietly to herself, bringing a smile to her lips. Yami and her were kindred souls, they belonged together and one day fate would bring him back to her.

The great red fox had had his shares of pain and disappointment revolving around his sister. Her mate had disappeared and he spent ages it seemed trying to tell his sibling things would improve. For days it went on stretching to hours when the sun had fallen and the dew perspired across the grasses. Some nights he'd look longingly into the night sky and reminisce about his love.
But she was a strong one and he wanted her to do things on her own. She could be quite headstrong yet gentle as a flower within his strong hands. He had to let go sometimes and yet this very day his heart missed her greatly. So strongly in fact he stood up from his contemplation and started to walk to that familiar place where her scent still lay strong and true.
Seeing her sitting there he saw change but also familiarity in that kindred mate he had chosen. A brave one was he to ever dare such a feat and yet he knew the missing part of his heart when he saw it. They both had grown yet neither had truly changed.
She was simply beautiful in his adoring eyes even if she'd grown as much as she had. He still without a doubt loved Kampher for she was his undying heart and always would be.
"Kampher..." he spoke with a deep softness, "I've missed you." His smile was genuine and he knew when she looked back at him he'd receive the same.

Kampfer's eyes were still full of tears as she heard the deep voice behind her, making a smile come to her face instantly, though it would take time for the tears to fade. She turned around quickly, longing for the sight of him more then anything else in the world, not bothering to wipe her eyes and hide that she had been crying.
"I've missed you too, Yami" she said simply, the love in her eyes and her smile deep, as if it showed from her very soul. "Come sit with me?" she asked, instead of jumping to her feet and rushing to him as part of her wished to do. She knew that even though they hadn't seen eachother for so long he would not be leaving her side for quite some time now that he was with her again. Kampfer didn't need to rush into his arms because they would be there to lay in when she wanted to.

She was a strong one its why he loved her like he did. But he knew the poor girl, his love had been crying because of his absence. Yami had been taking care of his beloved sister that his own focus never went further then sticking by her side. But Kampher no matter how busy nor far away had never left his mind.
Her request hadn't gone unheard as the large male fix had seated himself pulling her toward him. Pressing his lips upon her gently he tried giving the past in a single breath as it sank within her lungs and upon her lips.
As he broke the kiss gently pulling back to look upon his love he spoke, "Ashtara has been a mess since her mate left her. I wanted to be with you but she was so broken and sad I couldn't bear to see my sister hurt like that. I do hope you'll forgive me my beloved for my promise to you is I'm by your side forevermore now."
He wasn't one to joke in a heartfelt promise nor leave another in distress for that matter. Fate had pulled him to the side momentarily but his reward of being with his mate was so much more then he ever could of hoped for.
