Zestyrr'une could not resist the lure of her Goddess and the dark planes of existence. Her own mind, her being, her self always felt so connected when she explored the reaches of her visions. Zestyrr'une firmly believed that Lolth intended her to stretch her power to its limits and find new ways to serve her. So Zestyrr'une always experimented, and sometimes was successful. Other times, like tonight, the seer found herself paying for her abilities.
Far from her House in the noble area of Guallidurth, Zestyrr was coming to her senses outside of a tavern. She jerked her head upwards as if awaking suddenly. With a normal vision, Zestyrr'une could almost always maintain complete control. But with something experimental, the outcome would be more risky. The mind could essentially get lost from the body and the reunion of the two would be improperly made upon coming out of the vision. It could result in any number of troubles. This time, the seer was more than a little lost. Most of her memories and identity were lagging far behind in the ether of the Abyss.
Zestyrr'une huffed. She knew this area didn't look right. With or without all of her memory at her service, Zestyrr was at a loss for directions. Spending a lot of time being hidden or led around by over-protective priestesses did not make for a drow good with any sense of traveling. 'Goddess! I can't even tell what city this is. What kind of neighborhood is this?' Zestyrr'une crinkled her nose at the many smells. The wandering seer turned down a side street and simply continued walking.
Suddenly, a name sparked in her memory like a burst of light. Aha! She stopped in the middle of the street and grinned to herself, beaming brightly as the small piece came back. Even if it was only a city name, it helped: Guallidurth! That is where I am supposed to be!

Ah to be lost was a wonderful thing. It was exciting and allowed the goddess to guide him on his path to serve her how she saw fit. The small drow male, clothed in the most audacious clothing, danced his merry way down the path. Danced was really the word for what he did, or at least the childish version of it. Despite his looks, which would put him to be a teenager in drow years, he acted much like the young children that ran through the streets. Indeed a few danced along with him before being rushed away by their guardians. Gir had been here for awhile so many knew to steer clear of him. He would ask for food form merchants or the tavern owner. Some, mostly the males, would yell at him and shoo him away. Others, the females, thought him cute and liked his tricks so he was able to get enough meals to keep from being too thin. Local theif bands allowed him to spend the night in their hide outs providing they go out with them the next day. The mad illusionsit made for a wonderful distraction when the pickpockets were out. But now he walked alone and headed for the tavern. Perhaps he could get a meal. As he approached he saw the visage of a lovely extention of the goddess. She was quite lovely and looked a little lost. The sudden smile on her face as if she had just made a discovery excited the child mind of Gir. He danced his way over, bowed graciously, then looked to her with his fushia eyes. "Good evening great Lady! Are you without direction? Gir is without direction! Perhaps they can both choose a direction!"

Zestyrr'une smiled at the strange drow who approached her with a bow. He seemed very excited, even about being lost or what he called 'without direction.' The seer decided she might as well accept his aid, what else did she have to do? She certainly did not know anyone else to ask.
"Yes, thank you Gir. I am quite without direction." Her face clouded as she realized she didn't have a name of her own to tell the male. "Well I.. I am probably myself, most likely." The seer spoke, not realizing how confusing it sounded. She continued to think hard about her name but there was nothing to be done about it. Things would return to her in their own time.
"I guess you can just call me Lady. Where are we at now, Gir?" Zestyrr raised a hand to gesture at the area around them, her silver bangles making a bright clinking noise to accompany the movement. "I have never seen this place before."

"Ah good! You know you are yourself! So few do. Gir knows himself. For he knows he is Gir! We are without direction only when we stand still. For there is always direction! Gir just chooses one and follows it. For the goddess has her plan! So fear not great Lady! Choose a direction and you will have one!" Gir was very animated in his talking. Using his hands and body as he gestured, spun, bowed, and danced a bit. His clothes seemed to reflect his changing talk. More to the fact they changed colors whenever he made a grand movement. By the end of his little speech they were back to normal.
He looked to the woman as she answered his question then posed one of her own. He made the cutest little "think think think" face before smiling brightly like a child presenting a flower to his mother. "We are here. This place of fun, food, and feathers! Well feathers in the beds anyway! hehehehehe! They are fun when they fly through the sky! Gir comes here often for the Lady of the Tavern likes him! He is here to get food! Would Lady like Gir to get her some food?"
Gir laughed a bit as he awaited her answer, doing a small dance while standing in place. This was hardly proper drow behavior and many of the local patrons looked to him with disdain. However none moved to end his insane life less they be on the recieving end of his anger. Gir had only gotten angry once and it had been the Tavern Owner that had calmed him. However the fear had been put in the general public and most just avoided him. Stay away from him and he's only slightly annoying to you.

Zestyrr'une tilted her head and considered the odd behavior of her new acquaintance. Her first acquaintance! Well, that she could remember for now. She smiled, picking up one thing that Gir had said out of all of the rambling speech, "The Spider Goddess is a goddess of chaos, she needs no plan and I suppose we need none either!"
All the while the male had been speaking, Zestyrr could swear that his clothing items had been shifting in color. Gir was a very very animated speaker. A strange one. She considered what these things could mean. He could have powers that were strong. Or he could have abilities that he could not control. She couldn't help it, no matter what the reason for his behavior, Gir sparked curiosity like none of the other drows around her seemed to.
'Now who am I, what do I do that makes me to know so much? What do I.. He couldn't even tell me where we are exactly. But that's not really what I am looking for, is it?' Zestyrr'une kept trying had to piece any bits of information she could together.
Zestyrr'une looked around for a moment and then glanced back to the tavern. "Yes, I think food would be a good idea. I can't remember eating." She had no idea what else to do or where to go. She laughed gently, smiling as she watched Gir dance. Many drow would scorn his behavior, but Zestyrr'une saw in him merely another extension of the chaos which their Goddess loved.

"A plan where there is no plan! Yes! That is the goddess's way! And Gir will serve her in her plan without a plan! So he will bring the Lady a meal." He took her hand in a child's manner and lead her around the building to a small table that was kept out back mostly just for him. If he was given a table inside he caused undue amounts of chaos that was bad for business. So the Tavern Owner gave him his own table back by the kitchen in return for Gir "playing games" with unruly customers. He made for an excellent bounder of sorts for the drunkards.
Gir's gait was also childish in manner; he kept looking back at her and giggling before pulling out the seat for her to sit. "Now to retrieve the Lady her meal! Gir shall return!" He held his finger high in the hair as he said this then rain off to the kitchen door. A knock called the owner to the door and Gir explained his need for an extra meal. The female looked back to the woman suspiciously but Gir began talking animately to her. Whatever he said apparently worked and she smiled in a motherly-like manner. She called into the kitchen and a few minutes later two males brought out two simple meals along with a pitcher and two glasses for drinking. Gir took his seat quietly then looked to the Lady. The Lady always ate first so Gir awaited his turn to start eating.

Zestyrr'une was surprised as Gir grabbed her hand and started dashing along to the Tavern. He had an exuberant and lively manner that seemed unstoppable. She arched her eyebrows, dark hair swaying behind her and her many pieces of jewelry making their accompanying sounds as the pair made their way to the back of the tavern.
She was curious at first, unsure of why they did not go into the heart of the tavern where all the other guests were. The female he talked to seemed to know him quite well, and Zestyrr'une mused that this must be the Lady of the Tavern whom Gir had mentioned liked him. Did Gir choose the private table outback, or was it some other arrangement? She smiled to herself, wondering what it was like to try and work around a drow like Gir everyday. Whatever the reason for the private table was, it did not bother him. The energetic drow looked very pleased to Zestyrr'une when he ran off to get their meals.
The seer took her offered seat across from Gir. When the food arrived, Zestyrr'une looked at it carefully. Did she like this? It smelled appealing, so probably! She lifted a bite to taste.
Ah! A small flood of thought rushed over her from the taste and sensation of the food. A dinner! A matron. A familiar flavor. Another spark hit her. 'Am I confident with Gir because I am confident in.. because of something else about me.. my clothing alone says I am no commoner..' Ideas raced through her head.
Zestyrr'une smiled across the table at Gir, "Thank you for the food, Gir. My name is Zestyrr'une." Her jaw almost dropped and the utensil slipped from her hand back to her plate. What had she said? The seer had no recollection of the name until it had passed her lips.

Gir just smiled at her as she spoke her name and seemed shocked by it. He had no reaction to hers, merely starting to eat with a very childish manner. He would gripe the fork with his whole hand, scooping larger than needed amounts into his mouth and chewing with big bulging cheeks. He looked rather cute doing it. He would sip on his glass of water and look to her with an almost lost look in his eyes. Lost was relative of course, depending on where you were or what you were thinking. Most could be lost in a place they had lived all their lives if their mind was not understanding. That was Gir's life in general, he always knew where he was but then again he was always lost.
"Gir is happy to know her name. Gir is Gir, Gir Imad'rk He is no more than what Zestyrr'une sees. But he is all he needs and he does his best to serve the Great Lady as he is." He sounded quite proud of this, like a child who had just given his mother a handmade gift. He was proud of his ability to survive and serve the goddess's whims. Not all were pleasant whims but the goddess was not a feathers and cake goddess. He never question ed the path put in front of him; he merely walked it and took whatever lesson he could from it.

"Yes, I am glad to know my name too. And yours!" Zestyrr'une smiled back at the male, taking a few bites of her food. He was a sight to see eat! The drow was packing his food in, looking for all the world like some starved and unrestrained surface creature or slave that had not seen food in much too long.
"You live here, Gir? This area is not familiar at all to me." She tried again to get some name or information out of him.
She wondered why that was. Zestyrr'une thought she must be from a different part of the city. She wanted to go on a walk perhaps, see if anything got more familiar. Goddess. Zestyrr'une certainly had not forgotten Lolth and the seer took some sort of comfort or familiarity from that. The Spider Goddess was still with her and still present. The seer felt a calm come over her mind and the overwhelming sense of the chaos of the city faded. 'I'm not quite normal, am I Goddess?'
