Nation: Akarmen
Personality: Jaoren is the type to always hold his head high. He's confident; to the point of arrogance at times; something he inherited from his race to some extent. Even so, he has the future of his nation in his mind at all times. Over all, he tries to keep a cool expression about, especially when it comes to politics and business, giving his wisdom when the time comes. In more private situations, his compassion is more obvious, especially when he's around his only son, Syrco. Sycro's mother, as well as Jaoren's wife had passed away soon after giving birth, which was rather recent for an elf, so he tries to do his best at being a father. While still grieving for his lost love, Jaoren does what he can to move on as well as to keep his grieving hidden.
History: From the start of his life, Jaoren was rather well off. His father was within the current council for their minister, so he had been exposed to inners of politics early on as well. He had taken an interest in it since his youth as well; wishing to help his nation prosper. Though, for a long time, he thought it may not be possible. It took him a fairly long time for him to be able to find his Kulgenki; something he'd be too vulnerable without if he were to take higher positions in the government. He feared he would end up being among the Unfortunate because of this. And then he met her. Sylvani. The woman he came to love immensely. And while he couldn't do much, he silently vowed to protect her. She was an advisor to one of the council members, and thus was a target for assassins. One night, when he came to visit her, she became under such an attack. They all had Kulgenki, the assassins, so there really wasn't a whole lot he could do. Yet, he tried to fight. Before one of the assassins could bright their blade down onto his chest, a bright light had shown, and the attacker found a small demon restraining him; keeping him from striking down Jaoren. This demon, Kentri, had come from one of the bracers the assassin wore ironically enough. With the help of his newfound Kulgenki, as well as some guards that had rushed to the scene, Sylvani's life was saved. The two wed, and later on, Jaoren was appointed Minister of the nation.
