I say by hand. You gets em more clean that way.

lulz at my house we do both xD but if i had a choice i'd say by hand, mostly since you can actualy scrub, and you do each dish individualy

The washer is not very dependable. It can break, not wash em completely, or even dry them completely. And it can leave spots.

It purely depends on the person doing them. Sometimes, watching my friend handwash the dishes makes me not want to get into them, but at the same time, I know that with OCD, and dirty dish doesn't stand a chance. (That's what I have!) I like the luxury of not having to take the time by using a dishwasher, but if need be, or I don't trust said machine, I would definitely do it by hand.

*shrugs* I used to wash them by hand all the time. Now I just scrub the food out of them and get all the stains and stuff off, then run them through the dishwasher to deep clean them. ^_^ Then when I unload the dishwasher, I check them to make sure they're clean.

I heart dishwashers!!! I hate cleaning dishes by hand, though I do agree that doing them by hand does get them cleaner.
