On facebook the other day, one of my friends shows me my ex boyfriends profile page(My friend is friends with him, not me) and at the bottom of the page, it shows his status saying "Im engaged!", then another status saying "Taking the in-laws out to dinner" Now, im not jealous cuz my ex is a royal a**-hole, and i hate him, but im more like "Wow...really?" Those were my exact words too when i saw it. Keep in mind that we broke up 7 months ago.(I will admit that makes me jealous, cuz he could get someone in 7 months before i could) And the kid he is engaged with, is 3 months younger than me! Hes only 16 too, and my ex is 18! Honestly i cant believe it, but me and my friend were both joking about it, saying they only have 3 honeymoon choices: Maine, Canada, and Vermont.

Two words: What - everrr =P
If they want to get married so early and young and waste their money on a wedding that probably won't last, let them. That's pretty sad, in my opinion. If they're planning on being engaged for a long time, way to waste college money on a rock. xD

I'm pretty pessimistic about romantic relationships. Sure they can be fun while they last but before you know it...Don't get me wrong though, I think its worth the effort chasing after but I just feel it is a bit pretentious to assume your love in a given relationship will survive the long haul. Just enjoy the ride. If it lasts it lasts if it does'nt move on to the next.

I remember before my boyfriend and I got back together, I saw on his page that he was getting married. When I read that, my heart just sank. We mostly broke up because his family kept telling him that being gay was wrong, and they were trying to rule his life. To make things worse, he was supposedly getting married to a girl.
We're together now, but since he's in Iraq, our relationship is pretty complicated. It's like starting all over again. He told me that talking to me online was different than talking to me in person. That when he was here with me (he was here for two weeks for R&R), it felt like living with a stranger, but knowing them at the same time.
Sorry, that's besides the point. It sucks to see something like that though, especially when you have a great deal of feelings for the person.
